Not convinient to drive until chicago downtown

Very nice staff,exc breakfast. Hotel was very rundown,room and hallways not very appealing.

Elevaros and door didn’t work.

Bed was very comfortable. In order to get room serviced you must request it. Housekeeping staff was quick and friendly. Breakfast was ok. Pork sausage every day. No bacon.

attention from the recipient, very arrogant

Like I stated before, the shower head was off and in bathroom sink, we called and told them because we didn't want to think we did it. Fellow came right up, looked at it, said he would need to find a part. Never came back or called to say he didn't have the part. We could see where it had been scotched tape up there. I couldn't take a shower because being handicapped, I couldn't hold on to the bar and shower head too.

My family of 6 stayed one night & the woman at front desk was nice but the facility was under construction but unfortunately that is not the reason the room was nasty. It was old & stinky. Walls were dingy, sofa sleeper & chair were filthy like they needed to be shampoo & or replaced, the mattress on the sofa sleeper was dingy & ripped, the comfort was also ripped . There were areas were the carpet had spots or stains. The mini fridge was not cold, the tv had no guide, the AC put off some much humidity the room was very moist, definitely not normally how it feels with a hotel unit running. Even called front desk to find out if I could get a refund but they said I’d have to go through Expedia & I wasn’t sure about their policy so we stayed. Oh forgot there were knats in the room as well as a dead cicada under a small bench that looked Antique. It wasn’t unbearable it just wasn’t as clean or nice as it should be.

Arrived late and left early. It was clean and confortable. The breakfast was good with some hot food items.

Other than the construction that was going on in the hotel during our stay and only 1 elevator working for both guest and the construction workers, our stay was good, staff was wonderful and there was shopping within walking distance. There was a good selection during breakfast with juice,, coffee and tea. We would definitely stay again.

The only good thing I truly could say was the service. The people working were great. Yet, the hotel is under construction so the hotel itself is a mess. That is not mentioned when booking the hotel. Also, there were a bunch of gnats (flys) all around our room when we had gotten in there. There was a roku tv, yet it wasn't able to connect to anything. Not the wifi that the hotel it had or anything so the TV is pretty much only for show. It is also a very small tv, so wasn't very useful anyways. The beds and bathroom were nice and clean. Yet, still the pictures make the hotel look a lot better then what it is for the price. There were a bunch of gnats in our room and through the hotel halls. Only 1 of the elevators were working out of the 2 of them. It wasn't the worst hotel, yet for the price and that type of conditions the people staying here should expect a lot better. They have signs throughout the hotel saying if the noise for the construction is to loud, ear plugs are available at the desk for free. Yet, if the construction is so loud you need ear plugs that should be mentioned and discounted when booking a hotel for this type of price. Will not be staying or recommending again.

Was nice

The staff saved my trip and were kind to me and my guest. They helped me work around my flight delay and I could not be more grateful. The only reason I am docking stars from the review is because although my room was generally clean, I noticed that there was a large poo stain on the back of the toilet. I don't know how long that stain had been there and I was pretty disgusted by it. Other than that very noticeable, very unsightly stain that made the whole hotel seem somwhat uncleanly, I did enjoy my stay here. The staff was just great.

Current condition is fairly old and often had problems with the room key working then not working. The property is under renovation so maybe it will be better in late 2025.

Carpet inside the room and outside was dirty. Not cleaned in ages. Everything looked so old.

Service at this hotel was top notch. Everyone was friendly, helpful, warm & welcoming. This is unfortunately where the positives pretty much stop. The site boasts a heated indoor pool & hot tub. The pool was just above 55 degrees and the hot tub has been filled in with concrete. The area is now covered in a Walmart style set of patio furniture. The pool was absolutely inside but that’s where the accuracy stops. The cleanliness and condition of the hotel were like most services today…rushed. Dirty corners were everywhere and if maintenance was tended to at all, it was a makeshift job. Multiple doors (gym, maintenance, staff only) were propped open with rags/towels. All of breakfast was served on styrofoam with plastic utensils. No signs of eco-friendliness. The hotel was undergoing construction while we were there but it did not affect our stay. They offered free earplugs to anyone needing to sleep during day time hours.

Great stay

Some floors were renovated however one of group was put on a floor that was not. Old outdated rooms and musty. Room on 5th floor was nice except the constant humming from a pipe.

Rooms were newly updated and clean. Only complaint I have is the construction that was going on early in the morning. Waking up to hammering sounds wasn’t pleasant. Otherwise hotel was decent for a quick trip.

Hotel was okay, i feel a luttle over priced, but it is a holiday inn. Strong smell of the devil lettuce. Only needed for one night stay.

The service staff were good except for their casual attire. I did not think they were the people who worked there, I thought they were guests staying there. And when you are giving someone your credit card to pay for your room you want to feel secure in who you are giving it to. The front desk associate was wearing jogging pants and a hoodie with the hood on over his head and it shaded his face which made it difficult to see his face. The room was very outdated, cracked lampshades, no vent in bathroom, furnishings, train tracks by the building, hot breakfast wasn’t served (said that something was broken), it was rough. Everything seemed like it was ok until we went to bed and all we could smell through the vents was marijuana-when it’s going through the vents there’s nothing you can do, you are stuck smelling it. Moving to another room wouldn’t have helped. It was not a great experience.

Hotel rooms completely nasty an beyond old fashion. Carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in years! The bed mattress hard like cardboard. And the sheets was dingy

The receptionist was nice and tried to help us as much as possible, but there was not another room she could offer us. Our room was not clean, there was trash under the bed and crumbs on the floor. The stands were dirty. The microwave had dirt stains in the door before opening it. The bathroom was not clean. The soap holder had looked like it had mold from not being clean. The phone did not work. I had to call the front desk from my cellular phone. My five year old is now sick due to the room being so cold. It was a terrible experience.

My whole purpose to come was for a getaway and to enjoy the pool which was broken so I couldn’t get in,night staff was rude and loud on their personal phones talking about quitting,housekeeping never came to make my bed after telling me she was,it was all bad.

Bugs everywhere. Hallways smell like urine. Key cards stop working after one day. Elevator floors have probably never been vacuumed. Elevators slow and don’t function well. I would never stay here again.
