This was a cute boutique hotel with excellent, spacious, & comfortable rooms & beautiful lobby & lounge. It lives up to its promise of a small luxury hotel. The folks at the reception (all of them all week) were extremely nice, helpful, & one of then has the biggest smile (which I appreciated seeing during this solo work trip). The breakfast & minibar was included for me (I think it is for all guests). I loved the breakfast especially local vegetarian & meat dumplings, however other international food items are also available. The room was very comfortable - excellent products in the bathroom. The room had a massager lounge chair which was perfect after a lot of walking in this beautiful city!
The hotel is right between two metro stations of Daan & Xinyi. Nearby food/cafe spots I frequented include Tamed Fox coffee shop & Yang Ming Spring Restaurant (vegan).
I would absolutely choose this hotel in a heartbeat!

Wifi didn’t work entire trip. Feedback and couldn’t rectify without giving clear reason.
Inconvenient to go to lobby for work as what hotel staff suggested. Used my own roaming data throughout.

I stay there twice a year and always enjoy it. Staff very professional and attentive. Rooms well appointed, comfortable and quiet. Good location. Good value

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel location is amazing - a few minutes walk to several attractions, dining, and shopping.

Nice hotel - a little dated - the art in the lobby is fun. Felt a little expensive for what it was.

Great location and great staff

This boutique hotel has a unique style and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. I especially liked the lucite chair and the wood slat shower. The staff was gracious at check-in and check-out and greeting on every return. The area is pleasant and convenient and it’s easy to take transit or a taxi wherever you need to go. Oddly the ubiquitous convenience stores aren’t quite so close as it’s on a fancier street but no worries.

This is a very nice property. It was convenient to public transportation and the night market. I could do everything I wanted to do by walking. They have a very nice happy hour for guest. I like the offbeat decor too.

This a strange review because I actually extended the stay from 1 to 3 days because staff is wonderful.
However the room is outdated and there was mold on the toilet bidet and the shower heads.
Also the auto toilet, lights, and ac kept flickering so I began to think the room was haunted. It was quite loud.
I would recommend that if you get a bad room to immediately ask the front to change it for you.

This is my third stay with the hotel, and it's definitely starting to seem like it could be left behind by the newer offerings in town, or the neighbourhood for that matter.
The developer/ management definitely put in a lot of emphasis on the decor & hardware in the beginning, eg B&O speakers, Mont Blanc accessories, automated curtains/ drapes, bathroom TV & smart glass walls. But with the rapid movement of tech, fads and high-end brand design, they do date very quickly and the maintenance of these were not kept in tip-top conditions. Mind you, everything still works (somewhat), but you just get the feel that they are not kept near to the standards you expect of the hotel and image it wants to portray.
For what it is worth, I had a comfortable stay, didn't have any issue with anything, but it just didn't wow and impress like it did all those years ago.

The rooms were very small and the elevator quirky but the staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and the location was great.

Not much facilites - no gym, no pool, no spa, and only 1 restaurant.

The hotel’s facade is very cute but overall the hotel is quite average.
The building is dated, the room we got was most likely a back up room for staff as it it right in the stairway with no ventilation at all. Very creepy and completely unsafe as anyone can access to our room (the door was literally not locked when we got there)
The room wasn’t very clean with lots of dust on the floor.
The mini bar was laughable
Only positive point was the early check in at 1:30 pm (although it wasn’t really that early)
Disappointed with the experience as all my emails were ignored and we got arranged with the worst room of the hotel.

Love the privacy and professional staff
It would be great to have omelette cooking on the spot in the morning Buffett.
The flags over the entry makes big noise to my room 203 in the night when there is gusty wind. put WD-40 lubricant oil may help.
Thanks,
Kay

The hotel is nice with some good style, but is located farther away from Da'an Park than expected - city map scale is a bit deceptive. The hotel staff didn't really speak English. My top of class room was large & well appointed (though bath tub was small - not for 2), however, there was no upgrade offered (just a single drink coupon). The power outlet next to bed had lost it's tension to hold onto my phone charger block (like in many hotels), so charger kept falling out and not charging. They attempted to fix it and things improved slightly. Wi-Fi system is old, not fast, and not to current basic security standards - my phone "recommended" not joining their network, which didn't inspire confidence. I had items delivered to hotel and left at front desk, which they put on a table adjacent to front desk in plain sight to other guests. But several evenings I came back somewhat late, and there was no one watching the front desk for extended periods of time - so anyone could have easily removed my property. Taipei is a very safe city overall, and this is a small hotel with only one staff after hours, but I was surprised that the hotel front doors were unlocked after a certain hour - if the front desk was left in attended (seems a doorbell system or room key entry set-up would make more sense if the desk is left unattended). Overall, pleasant hotel, nice comfortable bed and sheets, and well meaning staff!!
