Receptionist was friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room was tiny, tired, tatty and very basic. You open the door and are faced immediately with a wall and small gap to negotiate around through with your case to where the beds are. Towels were clean but clearly very old and tatty. All in one shower gel/ shampoo container was dirty. Got 2 slivers of soap and that was it . Having a shower means a large part of the floor is soaked so be careful not to slip. TV was broken but I fixed that as part of my services to the hotel owner. Air con was noisy but effective, with 1 window relatively high up that to let in light could either be fully opened or closed, no half way position. No pictures or anything to brighten up a very bland room. All of the walls were badly marked and desperately needed painting. Location is very central which was ideal and the sole reason for booking. Skipped breakfast as the area (reception & breakfast seating is all in the one area) was full to the brim and looked chaotic & stressful. I would never have rated this as a 4 star hotel. I've seen other sites rate it at 3 which felt generous. Receptionist lady is brilliant. No real noise issues at night. It is 10m down what is effectively a back ally which as a lone female traveller could feel intimidating when the restaurant staff have cigarette breaks at the back are staring at you.

Amazing, Highly Recommend 10 out of 10

A perfect city centre hotel in a fantastic location
4.1
Great location, the only issue we had was that the door appears to close but you actually have to give it a solid tug from the outside or push from the inside to get it to latch successfully. Very nice hotel, nice breakfast, amazing location. Thank you!

Great location and great rooms
4.1
Nice, quiet room in a small hotel. It is very well situated for the tourist - in the middle of everything and a quick walk to the river!
The breakfast was nothing special - canned fruit, 2 choices for dry cereal, some sliced meats, and croissants and toast. I stayed for 10 days, and half of them had stale bread.
The shower in my room (107) is a little alcove, and if you don't but the bathmat down to cover the water, it will run all over the bathroom.
The staff were very nice and helpful, and the cleaning staff did a professional job.
There was no real view - just of the alleyway.
Overall, I would stay there again.

Nothing in particular

We stayed here in family, safe, clean and excellent location

A fully renewed hotel, it is a very convenient option to stay in Florence. Just 2 minutes away from the Uffizzi Gallery it is a perfect destination to walk around

Fantastic location! Perfect for seeing all the sights, good breakfast and staff are super friendly and helpful. The one bed’s mattress was hard as a rock but the other had a nice one. Overall would recommend and will hopefully be back.
4.1
Good location, yet adequate and inexpensive.

I had a room for five nights just for me. It was a small room, but it was only me and I only really needed the room for washing, getting ready and sleeping. So I didn’t need anything special, it was ideal for me really. The staff were friendly enough, only thing I would say is that the air con machine could have been more central, I found that it only blew over my legs so I had to be at the end of the bed to really feel it for my top half. Apart from that I had a good stay.

This hotel is in the heart of the city! We were able to walk everywhere. The only negative thing I would say is the front desk staff was not very nice. Another than that the hotel was perfect.
4.1
In the heart of the old city convenient for everything. Modern interior in an old building in an unassuming alleyway. Rooms are small but successful mix of modern with a little bit of Tuscan heritage. The air conditioning uses individual units and this is clearly an issue in some rooms. Avoid #206, but other guests had problems too. In three days staff were unable to fix it and during July 2024, it was insufferable. The manager was ‘traveling and unavailable’. There were other excuses. This is a showstopper and clearly has been a known problem for some time.

Room too small for 4

Great location, quiet area and very close to the Uffizi Gallery. Unfortunately our room smelled as it overlooked the alley where many companies put their rubbish out. Smell not noticeable after a couple of minutes in the room and we were only in there to sleep.

Ac was not working too hot
4.1
If I could I’d give this hotel 0 Star. Room was cramped, nothing like the picture shows. AC didn’t work. Their breakfast was a joke. No curtain on the window, lights and noise all night. Just a disaster of a hotel.

Great find. Clean, modern inside, brilliant location. Staff very helpful. Breakfast basic, but enough. Would definitely go back.

The property was fine for the price. The room is very small but worked well. Has an elevator which is nice. Really great location. Everything is close and you can walk. Breakfast was okay.. nothing fancy. My biggest complaints that I have are the pillows were terrible and the wifi was not good. Pillows were flat as a pancake and you only each get one. The wifi would toss you out constantly and would not stay connected. Everywhere you go in Florence, there’s great wifi.. except here for some reason. Besides these two things, I would stay here again.

Air conditioning was non working and limited breakfast items.

A great stay right in the center of Florence center, walkable to all of the attractions.

I generally don’t write reviews but the service and amenities at Aurum Uffizi inclined me to share my experience to all. We booked this place for 4 days (7/9/24-7/12/24), paid around $600 USD. Upon checking in, we found the room pretty dirty with no toiletries provided - there was a lot of dust everywhere. However, the worst part was the shower. There was no separation between the shower and toilet so all the water just flooded the bathroom! We went down to request for towels but the front desk lady (black curly haired one) gave us attitude and said she didn’t have anymore left so we would have to wait until the following day for the cleaning lady to give us one. She was busy on her phone and didn’t seem to care that her guests were walking around a flooded bathroom. She did give us some toiletries though. What if one was to slip and fall and get hurt? Clearly not a safety concern for this hotel. The following day we called to request for a pillow and the same lady told us, we had to pick it downstairs which we did. Talk about service, there is none! You have to do everything by yourself pretty much. We went on for 2 days without the extra towels from day 1.On the 3rd day, there was a much helpful guy who gave us a towel for the flooded bathroom. The bathroom here is very poorly designed and prone to slip and fall. If you are traveling with kids and family (older parents) I do not recommend staying here. The only thing I liked about this place was the location but that’s it.

Bathroom shower doesn’t have a door so the bathroom floods after every use and doesn’t drain. The walls of the room are dirty and marked up, that paired with the dim lighting made the rooms feel very uncomfortable. Our AC broke the first night, but thankfully it was fixed by the next evening. The location is great, but definitely would not stay there again. It was a 2 star hotel at best.

Perfect location for everything we wanted to see in Florence: museums, Statue of David, churches, and many food items. High level of security. Morning breakfast was great with fresh fruit, crossiants, boiled eggs, juice, and coffee. Highly recommend.
4.1
The best thing about this hotel is the location, very walkable and easy to get around.
4.1
The was nice, the location was near to the city center. Because the location was on a side street, Google Map did not find it.
4.1
It’s less than 1 star. Our room was hot like a sauna because the two (2) ACs were broken. We requested the staff to look into it and fixed it. No one came to even check. She said there is no maintenance personnel. We dehydrated over the night stay. The shower is too small that when you take a shower, you get the whole bathroom floor wet. The steam in the bathroom just made the room even hotter. Breakfast food was alright. As expected on a cheaper place to say, this is indeed cheap. We didn’t even get our money’s worth. Read other reviews before you book this hotel.

Great location. Close walking distance to all the major sightseeing locations and best restaurants. Room is very clean and affordable.
4.1
Our air conditioning was broken and we had to talk to the front desk 3 times before we got a new room (it was warmer in our room in June than it was outside- 80 degrees). The food was good and they were helpful with arranging a transfer.
4.1
Our "AC" was at 23 degrees celcius when we checked in and I turned it down to 16 on arrival to just try and cool down the room. Our last night, the "AC" went up to 27 degrees celcius even though I had it set at 16 for 3 days. Sleeping was gross. Hot and humid each of our 3 nights in the room. The walls were all scuffed up, the safe was missing a battery so therefore we did not use.
Breakfast was just okay.
Overall, you stay for the convenience of the area and not the amenities of the hotel itself. The whole "AC" thing is false advertising. We've stayed in 5 places throughout our 3 weeks in Europe and this the only place that we rated pour.
4.1
Great location but it can be noisy to sleep at night
4.1
Very convenient to everything. We only had to walk =< 15 minutes to see most of the top tourist attractions in Florence

Steps away from FSU Study Center. Very Good location

The location was great. The breakfast wasn’t good. The room was clean.

Convenient to dining and attractions.
