Excellent location and breakfast. Nice friendly staff. Shower was too hot. Towels were gray in color. I recommend it.

This town was amzing, we had so much fun walking around and seeing the beauty of this place. The roads are crazy to drive in my opinion but everyone insists on driving on the wrong side..haha. The hotel was quaint, parking was tight but they did have it. The bed was not very comfy though. It was a little warm in the room so we slep with the window open. We didn't like that the keys were old skeleton keys and you had to lock it with the key from the inside, we aslo had friends across the hall and realized our key worked on their door also...just a little unnerving. Breakfast was great and staff was wonderful.

Honest review - Do not book this hotel if going by photos and reviews. Our room was very compact small, low ceilings, creaking floors, paper thin walls (can hear everything) door key wouldn’t work and not very clean, also had bugs and spider webs. Breakfast is ok if you eat eggs, however, I don’t so my option was fruit and toast. Way over priced for what you get, it’s below standard. The whole place is so dated and the only guests were seniors 65+. Worst hotel I’ve been to.

We had 3 lovely nights here. Although the room was rather small, it was cosy and suited us well. Breakfasts were delicious and any combination on the menu was able to be ordered. The breakfast toom was small and full of light. The lounge area was intimate, cosy with comfy lounge chairs. Lovely ambience. The only problems were the pillows were not very comfortable and the shower had very little pressure. Perhaps if the glass wall was wider and a new shower head was installed that would make showering more enjoyable. However, we would be very happy to return to Broadlands in a heartbeat. So close to the shops but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Kylie was a wonderful host, very obliging and cheerful not matter what we requested.

Great location. Short walk to village. Room was nice however it would be nicer if it was dusted above eye level ...
No replenishment of water, tea, milk etc while we were out which was a bit disappointing. Also someone had been into our friends room as door was left unlocked but nothing else done apart from duvet being straightened.
Breakfast lovely & friendly hosts but got the general impression that they were short staffed

Bathrooms are in need of updating.

Hotel very nice, age is beginning to show and needs updating; however it’s very clean and tidy and staff are lovely.

Our stay at the Broadlands was excellent, from the easy check-in and onsite parking, to the room and amenities. The folks running it are always accessible and very friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

Definitely not 4 star. Room (no1) was clean, if tired and there were stains in the bath. The small wardrobe felt like it was about to fall to pieces. During the evening our toilet stopped flushing so had to flush using a bucket! When reported in morning got a non eye contact "oh really" response. Was fixed by time we returned in late afternoon. Following morning was told "your toilet is fixed. Lucky to get a plumber and job was very extensive". Again no apology. I get the impression that the hosts, go through the motions, but are not really interested in whether you have had a nice stay or not.

Lovely place with friendly staff. Set in a fantastic location in the Cotswolds. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely place to stay. Would recommend to all.

Our room was very clean, the staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good too. The fact that we could park there was important to us
Location is excellent.

Ideally situated in this picturesque Cotswolds village. Close to village centre shops restaurants and miniature village. Freshly cooked breakfast and clean comfortable rooms made this the perfect choice for our 2 night stay

Great location, clean, tidy and with helpful hosts. Breakfast was nice. Only downside was some issues with the water temperature/pressure in the shower.

Our room (possibly number 9) had some kind of leak under the bathroom floor the kept it damp along with the adjacent carpet outside the bathroom door. And no bathroom floor towel mat was supplied. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Let us put bicycles in room which was much appreciated.

4.5 stars. Minus a half star purely for room size and lack of shelf space in bathroom. If I’d been alone it would’ve been perfect but for two people it was a little small and trying to maneuver around one another was a bit silly. Bathroom size was great tho- would just be lovely to add some shelves for places to set cosmetics bag on, etc. there was definitely room for a couple shelves. Staff was friendly, bed was wonderful, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect.

The property is conveniently located for a short walk into Bourton, being just 5 minutes.
Service needs to be more accessible as a couple of times during our stay we were unable to make contact with any member of staff despite telephoning the main hotel number several times.

What a beautiful and charming place in wonderful Burton in the Water. We loved it so much! Everything in waking distance as well!

Room was filthy and run down; all room covered in dust, the carpet and the bathroom floor were dirty and not hovered in a very long time. When we checked in there was a paint can left in the room. They didn’t make up/clean our room after the first night but they came in to retrieve the paint. The room is also very noisy, one can hear when the next room is switching on and off the lights. If another room uses the bathroom and run water there is a very loud noise from the waste pipes until the water is shut again. I don’t see how other reviews could be so positive about this place. It is a Very overpriced experience and we have been asked to pay an additional £10 to park on the property’s premises. Breakfast is average and service very scattered. The host is polite.

Lovely room with comfy bed,
Breakfast was very nice with good service
Property is in excellent location for nice walks around the village and quick drives to other villages.
Would have preferred a more powerful shower. Shower was very weak

Loved Bourton-On-The-Water and Broadlands hotel is the perfect place to stay. Literally 150yds from the river and all the restaurants. Hotel is great and a really friendly place to stay. Ross and his sister are great hosts and make your stay special. Will 100% be visiting bourton again and we’ll definitely be trying to stay at Broadlands hotel.

Wonderful hotel, quiet, very close (in) the historic downtown area. Lots of great dining options, plus an excellent breakfast and really friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Thanks!

A good location for exploring Bourton-on-the-Water. The room was comfortable but small. The toilet was not a very efficient flusher. The breakfast was good with a number of choices, however it was very slow. Good to know if you are eager to get out and about early. Overall, the service was good and we were happy with our stay there.

Nice property. Central enough to be walking distance but far enough to be tranquil.
Checkin went very smoothly and then we'll be left in peace to enjoy our stay.
I would definitely return here if I was going to visit this area.

Parking was an issue on arrival, but along with a friendly staff member (gentleman) we made it work. No hot water on the morning (5:45) of Xmas day to shower. When reported in the afternoon, met with resistance that I was telling the truth “well no other guest has complained” “we have two water tanks”. This was not helpful or polite. There was hot water on my return that evening.
There were large cobwebs above my bed. Toilet seat fell on to my back (room 4) every time I sat to use the toilet. Other than that room was decorated nice, clean and comfortable. Fantastic location.

We had a very nice stay at the Broadlands Hotel. Property was comfortable, clean and warm. Our room had added bonus of small upstairs lounge with corner sofa and large TV which was good space to relax. Our hosts looked after us very well and the breakfast was excellent. Only short walk to Main Street with shops, restaurants etc

Spent two days at Broadlands at the end of a week long trip in the UK. Chose it specifically for the very close proximity to the village and it didn't disappoint! Very short walk to the action and eliminated the need to fight for parking spots.
Room was clean and comfortable. We struggled a little to easily get the temp of the shower regulated to a comfortable temperature but the water was hot which was better than cold.
Breakfast was superb. The family who runs the property did a fine job pitching in to ensure a smooth breakfast service. Food quality was good and portion sizes generous.
Service overall was very friendly and helpful!
We would definitely stay at Broadlands again if we ever come back to the Cotswolds.

We really enjoyed our stay. Bed was comfortable and the area quiet. Great service and full breakfast though the bake beans were warm. The staff were lovely and friendly and recommended restaurants. We tried the Italian and it was an amazing meal. Thank you for a great time. Highly recommend.

Broadlands is absolutely the best place to stay. It's centrally located to everything in Bourton On The Water. The room was spacious and had a full living room, plus another bedroom with a twin bed. Only place I would stay. The staff was friendly, helpful, and gave recommendations for dinner.
