The Hotel Regina was clean, comfortable, beautiful, and charming with its old Heidelberg type of architecture, pretty furniture, cozy breakfast room, and flowers and other happy decorative touches. The hosts answered our questions and suggested a restaurant and places to visit. Breakfast was very much to our tastes -cold meats, cheeses, salmon, soft-boiled eggs, granolas, and cereal flakes, yogurt, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruits, breads and rolls, honey, jams. Pots of coffee and tea were also provided.

Staff very friendly & helpful! Breakfasts were fabulous.
We stayed during a hot spell in the area; however, there was no air conditioning. We would suggest providing a fan.

It was a very nice room. The internet was stable and fast enough for virtual meeting. Everything was well guided and people were kind.
+1: The hotel is also closed to the old town and also a market (REWE).

Nice and clean big room with balcony in town center. Free very good breakfast.

The location was excellent, close to the old town. The front desk clerk showed us a nice walk on the other side of the Neckar river. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had many options. By 8:30 the breakfast room was full so arrive on the early side.

Good location, close to Old Town, the river and plenty of eateries. Hotel has own parking lot and cost only 10€ per night which we appreciated a lot. When we arrived the lady at the front desk was very kind and actually came out and brought us to the parking lot as it was dark and the was no obvious signage. Hotel is very secure as it is always locked and only persons with key could enter. Our double room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable, only gripe was perhaps that the shower area is small and the shower curtain and shower head need to be replaced. Complimentary breakfast was decent, enough choices to fill the tummy, the room is however really small, only 5 tables, so I imagine sometimes you would need to wait. All personnel were polite and friendly and provided good service.

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. The furnishings were a little dated, but the location was perfect.

Very friendly staff and the cutest dog you will ever see lives there. I stayed there 4 nights and had a pleasant time.

Situated just outside the old city, very close to a center for trams. The hotel was very comfortable and we had a very large room, which although it was on the road (side street rather than main road) was quiet. Only negative - the breakfast room was small and during our stay other guests had to wait for a table. The breakfast was good and refreshed frequently. At the end of our stay were given a gift of two pots of Christmas jam, a lovely thought. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and our visit to Heidelberg.

Small but friendly hotel close to the centre. Good German breakfast included, and friendly staff.

The Regina was located a block away from the main old town shopping and restaurant scene. Buses and street cars were even closer. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and I liked the old style ambience of the hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff is multi lingual as are many of the guests. One review noted the lack of an elevator. This is true but did not cause any problem.

Was a very nice hotel right in the heart of Heidelberg right in the middle of everything you cant go wrong.

Some important things to know: Most rooms are upstairs and there are no elevators (very handicap unfriendly). Even the downstairs rooms require getting past the entryway stairs. The small, old rooms do not have air conditioning and have bad circulation so they are stuffy and very hot in the summer (opening the window out to the common square out back means reduced security or no sleep because of the bar next door). The internet is the worst Ive experienced at any hotel. The WIFI signal was spotty in one room, worse in the breakfast room and non-existent in the first room I got. Huge key means youre carrying around a dumb-bell with you all day. No clock in rooms. Just one soap for body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

Was very nice and perfect for what I wanted...the city is loaded with tourists and I got everywhere I wanted by walking from this hotel.

Great location. Staff super nice. Room clean but the room rug needs to be replaced as it smelled musty.

Maybe it was just the day, but it was very humid and we had a hard time getting comfortable sleeping, even with fans.

I was unlucky that I got a room right next to the reception, which was noisy. But the hotel is on a quiet side street in a convenient location, and the staff was friendly.

This is a great little boutique hotel in an ideal location to access the key areas of Heidelberg. The old town district is a short walk away, as is the main hub of the tram and bus system. The hotel is on a quiet side street. The staff was great, and the continental breakfast provided (included in our rate) had a nice selection of items including a variety of meats and cheeses. If the room had facilities for making in-room coffee/tea in the morning, I would have scored it straight 5's.

A very convenient hotel.

The hotel itself is a no-frills decent hotel. Very basic but clean. And I love that it's 100% non-smoking! It is centrally located to most of the areas you would want to go to in Heidelberg. Especially Old Town Heidelberg. The only issue that I had is that the hotel is located with a noisy street on both sides of the hotel. There's no room air-conditioning so I opened the window at night time and heard people on the street making a lot of noise in the middle of the night. This is probably not a big deal in the winter time when you can keep your window closed. But overall the price of the hotel is very reasonable and I don't have a sensitive disposition so I was totally OK with it. (Maybe ear plugs might have helped.) For me alone, I would stay there again (especially because it's non-smoking). But maybe I would consider a different hotel location if I was there with my family. Otherwise, this is not a bad hotel at all. I departed satisfied.
