The place was small but served it purpose we were going to a wedding close by. Very clean very nice person at the desk she was helpful and really sweet.

We’ve stayed here several times for an annual event. Rooms have been nicely upgraded!!!! Much more comfortable.

The Whitman Motor Lodge is a hidden gem. The rooms are large and clean with nice furnishings. The room rates are very reasonable and you get housekeeping every day! That’s almost unheard of anymore in any of the larger chains. We loved it and will definitely be staying there again.

Looks old, but fully updated rooms

Super cute little room. Very clean! The bathroom was pretty big with a step down shower. Very comfy bed and soft comforter! Easy to get to lots of stuff since it's on the main road. Staf was super friendly. Highly recommend!

Needed a place for one night that wasn't $300. Always set my expectations low for motels and motor lodges since they give off an "pay by the hour vibe". This is NOT that kind of place. Easy check in. On a main road with a lot of new things around it. And the room was beautiful. Will stay again.

We had a great stay!

This location was a favorite on our trip! Comfy beds, lots of space, beautiful decor, friendly service, and (mom's favorite!) A sink outside the bathroom door (in addition to the sink inside). Unexpected bonus: a REAL freezer that actually froze our ice packs! As a side note: the owner was so kind and accommodating that she came looking for our neighbor so she wouldn't miss the bus that came for her! We would definitely return if are in the area again. This was our first ever trip to New York, and this stay was an unexpected gem- easy to pass on the "main drag" through town, but our room felt totally safe and quiet. Great place to catch the train into the City and also has spectacular local spots to see! So GREEN! Who knew?

As far as motels go, this is a nice one. Friendly and helpful staff; nice clean room, no safety concerns, competitive price. And, in the late morning people were working on maintaining the property. I will gladly use again when I need to stay in the area and need a good bed.

The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. I was amazed by the number of outlets and usb ports available for charging devices. Betty at the front desk was exceptional. Also my son left behind his shoes and they were turned on by the housekeeping staff. Quality stay at a very affordable rate. The area was also very safe and upscale.

This is a classic motor lodge, no frills, but a very comfortable couple of nights' sleep. Our room was clean and up dated. The bathroom has been recently redone with new tile, finishes, and fixtures. The lady at the front desk is the best. We would definitely stay here again!

First night stayed in one of the unrenovated rooms. The pullout couch was pretty much unusable. But then Betty switched us to a renovated room on night 2 and it was much better. Beds were very comfortable and the room was nice (for a motel). Betty (manager) was extremely helpful and friendly. A pleasure dealing with her. For those with an EV: there is a charging station a 15 minute walk away (at the Mazda dealership). They don’t charge you for it, but it’s slow so for a full charge you’ll have to leave the car overnight.

Clean comfy room at good price

While it is an older hotel, it was upgraded with modern amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful especially Betty at the front desk. It was also a good location.

The bed was comfortable. Musty when you enter. Dated decor, no mini fridge or microwave.

I was warmly greeted by the evening attendant who helped explain the location of where our room was since it was on the backside where our car couldn’t go. That was very helpful! The only unpleasant thing was walking into the motel room and having the heater on full blast! The room had to have been in the upper 80s and it was late July and we had been outside all day! It took a while for the room to cool down but once we reset the heater to use the air conditioning it was fine.

Extremely clean and modern unit. Bed uncomfortable, need a chair to sit, or loveseat.

Great hotel for a lot less money than any other hotel in the area. Situated very close to the road, but we’ve stayed there twice now and have never had an issue with road noise. Rooms are not real big, but they’re clean and well functioning. And the bathroom is a good size and very clean.

The owner, Betty, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We had five rooms ...all the rooms were immaculate and most of them had been recently redone. While this is a motel, it did not have the amenities of a hotel e.g. gym, restaurant, etc., but it also didn't have the pricetag. The hospitality, however, was better by far than at most hotels. I highly recommend the Whitman

Our family just stayed for the weekend (5 rooms). Betty couldn't have been more accommodating to ensure that we were grouped together. The rooms were renovated, quite comfortable and well-appointed. Incredible value. Highly recommend!

Property was simple/standard but very clean and quiet in our room at the back of the property. Morning coffee/tea in the main office area. Good location, several options for shopping and dining in the area. Close to Walt Whitman birthplace.
