The Inn was beautiful with lots of character. The hosts were amazing! Friendly, helpful and made our short stay very enjoyable. The breakfasts were excellent with a good variety and cooked well.

Feom the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, the service was great. Owners Marty and Gaile were great. Whether it was to offer information about the house, the area or just to make you smile, Marty and Gaile truly made the experience a great one and felt like we were staying at grandma and grandpa's place. Breakfast was great as well as dinner at the in house restaurant, My Daughters Place. Marty is an excellent chef as well as his daughter who cook dinner with Marty. The house is over 100 years old and has it's own character and charm. The bed was big and comfortable, we both slept well. The only minus was that our room, #2, had a stand up shower that was a bit small and the toilet was a bit close to the wall, but these things can be expected. Other rooms had larger showers with tubs and the rooms in the 3rd floor had a nice shared bathroom.
Overall this was a great time with great hosts. We cant wait to return.

Never really interacted with the staff. Desk empty at check in and check out. Explanatory note.

Loved our stay at Brookview Manor. Gail and Marty were friendly, hospitable and tended to our needs. We felt like family. The breakfast was amazing, plentiful and so delicious. Marty is an awesome chef who loves his craft. It was convenient to have dinner 'at home'. The menu was extensive, inspiring and very tasty. Our suite was comfortable and we loved having a separate sitting area. We were close to nature, the casino and the Outlet Mall. Plenty to keep us occupied on a rainy weekend. We left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed and taken care of. Perfect getaway destination. I hope to go back. Highly recommended.

My first impression was not great. We had a communal bathroom; the heat was not on the first night, and it was very cold. The room was too busy; knickknacks everywhere; no place to set my coat. The breakfast is served at 9 am which was not convenient for our departure day. BUT, the place grows on you, the breakfast was absolutely hot and delicious; the hosts were friendly and very nice. The second night we had heat so it was much more comfortable. I am on the fence as to whether I would stay here again. Brookview Manor is in the heart of the Poconos, and the area is absolutely one of our favorite destinations.

Definitely one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in, and I stay almost exclusively in B&B's when I travel. It's a bit remote, but well worth the drive into the mountains, furnished in Victorian style with a lovely wrap around porch perfect for reading. Innkeepers Gail and Marty are welcoming, accommodating, and hilarious--do yourself a favor and linger over breakfast to talk with them. The food is beautifully presented and delicious, especially Marty's Egg Bellied Owl breakfast and his Fried Green Tomato dinner appetizer. The room was comfortable, quiet, and well provisionsed. I will be returning there again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is heavy and freshly made with cheerful chef! - Marty. Don't count calories!!.
The owners - Marty and Gaile are jolly people and makes the stay fun. Evening dinner is only available on Friday and Saturday. The food is excellent and big portions. Wines are expensive, so take your own drinks and enjoy in your room before hand!.
There are few restaurants 3 to 4 miles from this B&B, on rt 390 towards Cresco.

The inn was very quaint and the owners made us feel at home. The food they served was very good and they went out of there way to let us eat early as we needed to check out early for an excursion we were going on in the morning.

My wife and I stayed here for out fifth wedding anniversary and we had a great time. Gail and Marty were very welcoming. We had dinner there the first night and it was very good. The breakfasts both mornings were fantastic. We stayed in the library room (#6) and it worked well for us. Overall, our experience was very nice and I would recommend staying there if you are in the area.

We had a very pleasant stay at the B&B. We stayed there because we were going to a retreat at Spruce Lake Retreat Center down the road. The breakfast was amazing and we're especially thankful that they accommodated our early schedule (breakfast is usually served at 9 AM but they served us at 8:15 AM because we had to leave early).

I paid for a (4) star hotel not (3) and I stayed (1) night not (2) nights because it wasn't what I expected nor what I could accept. I expressed my level of disappointment with there management to no avail. There was no way I was only to stay another night at a place that has (cats) roaming around the grounds , I thought I was on a Farm for the most part .my attire was not conducive to staying there because I didn't dress for the (Farm) I dress for fun and excitement. Having said that my (G.P.S.) couldn't even locate the place I now (understand) why. As far as management (Marty) was funny but rude is wife was pleasant but (Firm) they refused to (credit) my credit card even after I said I couldn't stay another night and explained to her why. As result of this unpleasant stay I now have a case # E10123530 with Expedia awaiting there responds to my concerns as it relates to getting a part of my $ back. Since I don't (Twitter) this is the best vehicle of communication. On an more positive note Dinner at (40.00) for Duck was good (thanks Marty) and so was breakfast. In closing I blame most of my disappointment square in the lap of (Expedia) in that I asked to stay close to (COVE HAVEN) even within the same zip code which by the way is (18438) not (18325) more than 45 min. drive one way. this created an logistical nightmare for me travel wise. All I want is a refund for an unused day who in there right mind would want to hear (CATS) at 3 in the morning trying to sleep.

My wife [of six months ] and I took part of our belated honeymoon at Brookview Manor B&B. Had a wonderful time! Food was excellent, Marty is a master chef! Everything was great! Have no doubt we will be looking to go back!

There was a situation by which I mean a thousand police & FBI were in the town looking for #1 on the FBI's 10 most wanted list. I should have been told. I wanted to take evening photos (I'm a photographer,) and I couldn't. We were rather trapped once we arrived at 6pm. The innkeeper was gone for the night. There was no dinner, the bar, while open had a sign asking us not to touch, but to call for assistance. I called. No one ever came. Maybe a microwave with a popcorn selection? A few softer pillows would have been nice too! Breakfast was superb by the way! I did photograph in the morning.

It was a wonderful first time experience at the Brookview Manor Inn. The hosts were amazing, and if you choose to dine in the restaurant attached to this place, be prepared for some amazing food!

If you ever stayed in the New Hope Inn in New Hope, PA the atmosphere was "garage sale chic". This hotel reminded me of New Hope. The third floor room we stayed in was to warm and even though my husband knew how to adjust a radiator we still had to open a window to get the room cooled down. Private bath was very small and the water trickled from the shower and sink. Parking lot was like a skating rink. Price was right, staff was friendly, breakfast was very good but like so many things in the Poconos the Inn appears in need of some TLC.

We enjoyed the hospitality of the Brookview Manor Inn. The restaurant serves first rate food, and they are willing to modify the meals to suit your dietary preference. We told the waitress that we were on a low carb diet, and she substituted a cucumber salad for the dinner rolls. We had the seafood entrees, and they were well seasoned and delicious. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.We also enjoyed the grounds of the Manor, which are well maintained and feature tall evergreen trees. The large dining room window was open during our dinner, and we could hear the babbling of the brook and the chirping of the crickets. The evening air was fresh and cool, which was a refreshing change after the hot summer weather we experienced elsewhere during out East Coast trip.

Beautiful location, warm and friendly staff (my husband and I chatted with the owner and her daughter over a beer on the porch one evening), family atmosphere. Great place to relax and feel at home.

We had a great time at the Brookview Manor. Marty & Gail the owners are great people & a lot of fun. We had good conversations & a lot of laughs with them over the 2 days we were there. My wife & I felt like we have known them for years. Marty's stories were great. They were very accommodating with telling us places to go, etc. Marty's breakfasts were incredible. They were not only delicious but also very filling. The room #11 was just like we expected. The jacuzzi was perfect for both of us. We would definitely visit again.

Spent a winter weekend getaway here. Cozy, romantic place with lots of character. The adjoining bar/restaurant was delicious. The owner, Marty, is a fun guy who knows how to cook and made you feel right at home. 20 minutes from Camelback Ski resort (and even closer to Alpine), this place was perfect for our short escape from NYC. Next time though, we'll get a room with a fireplace! :)
