Clean room. Area around isn't too great

Beggars can't be choosers. Since our original hotel "burned," (we did a drive by and it was fully operational) when we were just 2 hours away (8 hour trip) this was the only place we could find under $500 last minute. We paid $220 for a $39 hotel. Supply and demand at its finest. The carpet in the hallways was filthy. Entire hotel absolutely reeked of weed and body odor. No coffee in the rooms and had to walk FOREVER to get to the front office for a tiny cup of coffee. Front desk clerk was very friendly. Man that sat in the lobby with her was fragrant enough that I couldn't get it out of my nose for hours. Lighting in the room and bathroom is terrible. Not great for those of us that wear makeup. Doubt the mattress protector has ever been washed. It was gross. Sheets appeared clean and a/c worked. TV had 1 channel and remote did not work. Mini fridge made strange noises randomly throughout the night. Sketchy area and the "gated parking" was always open. The hotel served its purpose but WAY over-priced, and now my child knows what weed smells like.

We rented this room after our Airbnb fell through. The last thing I wanted was a motel 6 while on vacation, but I was very very pleasantly surprised by the place. The rooms were huge! The beds were soft. It was extremely clean! There was nothing that wasn't exactly what we needed. We had brought our own toiletries thankfully. It doesn't provide toiletries, but you're still getting extremely comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again!

The microwave didn’t work. They did not replace it or put me in another room.

After given the room key, our room was located in the back of the hotel. The entrance to the back section of the rooms was inaccessible as the handles were taken off. Then we had to walk midway to the other door for entrance just to walk back down to the end of the hall. I guess it would not have been a big deal but considering we drove non stop from Western Carolina and was very exhausted. The room was decent. The A/C made noise but not a big deal. The ice machine was probably another mile away as we never could find it.

Clean and comfortable, very good service

I paid for my room for 3 days Friday -Monday traveling from Florida , so i didn’t arrive untill Saturday early morning, when i arrived my reservation was canceled , they said because i didn’t check in by check in time , so the whole reservation was canceled, why does it matter what time i checks into room , if i had already paid for my stay. So now after driving 9 hours from Florida I have no place to stay . And now I have to also wait 7-10 business days for my money , and spend more money to get another room.

The day was amazing only issues when I first got here on Friday there was two roaches in the room and then a bunch of gnats that I had to kill other than that it was OK

We stayed for four nights. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room - nice and big with a mini fridge and microwave. For the price, I would stay here again.
I deducted one star because the halls really stank of cigarette smoke, which gave me a sore throat.
Note that you can get public transit downtown (takes about 45 min). And there are things nearby (eg, frozen daiquiris, fast food). Close to the highway.
As expected at a budget hotel, there were sketchy people staying there (yelling at times, etc.). And the room isn’t perfect. But this didn’t bother us, as I expected it.

Staff was disrespectful.. couldn’t find my reservation had to pay twice

Rude front desk girl!!! TV not working…called like ten times before anyone picked up. Then a guy called my room 5min later speaking Spanish & when I spoke back in English he hung up on me?!?
3.3
The WIFI code that the front desk worker supplied did not work, when I called to inquire about and confirm said code she was very rude and off putting. Aside from that, their were roaches in the bathroom, I highly doubt that I’ll visit that property again.

The only thing good about this place was the girl who check me in. She was very friendly. As soon as I walked in, the whole place smelled like smoke, and you could hear large dogs barking in several different rooms. I ended up using my own blankets and pillows because they had not washed the bedding. There was visible dirt on the floor, a dirt ring in the toilet from never being cleaned, and visible scum in shower/tub. Also, even though I had a credit card on file and everything paid in advance, they charged me a deposit for my 6 pound dog, and a week later they still have not released it even though they assured me it would be returned the day I checked out. When I called and asked about it, they say it’s been released and that they were going to check with the manager and then hung up on me. I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company. I only stayed here because it was the only place in NOLA with rooms left because of Jazz Fest. I would have had a better trip if I would’ve slept in my van.

The towels and rags were dirty.

I don't know what y'all are complaining about. It was perfect for our needs, and when we needed to extend our stay, it was done in 15 seconds. If you want a concierge, maybe don't look at the bottom of the cost list. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Great value, close to freeway onramp

Super dirty & a really sketchy area, there was stains on the bedding, the toilet and tub was so dirty and it stunk so bad. I walked in and walked straight out, I couldn’t even stay there because it was so bad. Save your money and book somewhere downtown.

I thought my stay would be much worse but the staff was nice....the room was relatively clean but smelled like cigarettes despite being a Non-smoking room.
I will not stay here again; they are drug users in the area and it's located too far from the main attractions.
3.3
Very comfortable quiet place. I’m definitely going back soon! Thanks Motel6

The staff did the best they could and relocated me to a room at the end of the hallway, but somebody in there is smoking like a coal train, and there is nothing one can do to get away from secondhand smoke, it just gets through and into everything. Windows don't open either so that's no help. They really need to have a smoking and a nonsmoking building altogether, or enforce whatever policy they have (if there is one). If you smoke, this place is fine. If you don't, well-
It's about as expected otherwise. Room was clean and met my needs.
Located right next to the freeway and area is marginal at best, but that is what comes with the proximity to downtown.

Only thing I didn’t like is no breakfast
3.3
I have been going to New Orleans from Atlanta every 3-6 months since 2017 and staying at this property. I have never had a problem and I have always tipped the housekeeping and stripped my room and gather the garbage for them but this time I’m really unhappy and upset. We checked in Saturday night/Sunday morning stayed. We went to families house and when we came back to our room my laptop was shattered. When I said something to front desk the girl at the desk wanted to get an attitude and argue with me. I then told her I didn’t want housekeeping the rest of my stay and she said I had to have it but yet the last day I was there I didn’t have to.

Liked convenient location
Could have benefitted from a breakfast option

It was ok a place to lay your head also it was a ok price for the weekend but it had roach but other that it wasn’t so bad!!

Place needs to be updated on EVERYTHING
3.3
No real complaints … served my needs for the night … a clean shower and a clean bed

The area around this motel was questionable, however, the property and the room were top-notch. Plus I did feel secure in the room I had. It was clean and everything worked well. I would definitely stay here again in the fiture.
