I rarely feel compared to leave a review but the staff were so accommodating, the building is beautiful, the rooms clean and the beds huuuuge. Had a great stay. The nice gentleman who showed us to our room and gave us a tour was the highlight, just great service.

Beautiful building highlighted by some antique artwork. Room was impeccable. The hotel is very clean and very well maintained. Service was very courteous and helpful. The location is ideal for visiting Arequipa and the area very secure. Lots of excellent restaurants and stores nearby.

The staff was very kind professional specially Jaime who works in the restaurant.

I really enjoyed the architecture of this property. The spacious room were also a plus, not to mention the great location. Breakfast was also an awesome touch!

The only downside of my Peru Trip. There was no air conditioner in the room, and the staff did not provide any solution such as fans. The room was hot during the night. If you open the windows, then the mosquitoes and the street noise did not let you sleep.
The staff was neither helpful nor amicable. We had to request for a hair dryer more than three time in order to receive it.
We requested the same-day laundry service, yet our clothes were received a day later with stains in it. Nevertheless we were charged the same-day fare.
Arequipa is such a beautiful city. Please visit it yet stay away from this hotel!!

Great balance between colonial and modern feel / style for everything… Good breakfast, fresh juices, fruit, granola, and eggs every day. Harder beds, also lots of neighbouring construction going on at the time that we were staying there starting at 7am, so that was crappy for sleeping in. Awesome restaurants and bars in the area, great & safe walking district, plenty to see and do within 3-5 minutes

Very good choice

We stayed here a few years ago and the hotel has had a major makeover. It is now a much better experience. However, there are still a few minor things that we feel could need attention. The pillowcases are too small for the pillows, and there are no protectors fitted. The bottom sheet keeps coming loose - maybe investigate using fitted sheets.
One real plus was breakfast. The hotel is always busy, yet there was never a shortage of anything, and our used plates were always cleared away.
Overall we were impressed with the service in all aspects of the hotel.

The street noise very loud till 3am every day. This is a problem as windows need to be opened for cooling.

Lovely location, nice room, but so warm I had to leave the window open with noise outside until 2:30 am. Room 204

Nice location staff really friendly

Is a good option, the best is the location, just in front to the "Monasterio", two blocks from the main square. Outside you could found the restaurant/bar "13 Monjas", we really love the enviroment and the food of this restaurant.
The room is big, clean and the bed is confortable.
The common spaces have the local arquitecture built with "sillar".

The hotel is right in the middle of Arequipa’s scene of best restaurants and steps from Plaza de Armas. For the evening out you cannot be more central. The historic building is very nice and you feel in the middle of everything right oposite the monastery.

Location is very convenient, charming common areas. Room clean and spacious. Excellent breackfast. WiFi could be improved in the rooms.
Staff supportive.

Traditional architecture. Great location. Small room, verify it can accommodate the number of people. Nice staff.

They gave me room without heating. Night temperatures 8 degrees C. Common areas unheated. No restuarant and room service non existent at most times. Staff attitude defensive.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean, and convenient.

It was beautifully decorated with colonial paintings and statues. The gardens in common areas were beautiful.
The breakfast offering was good, however items weren’t refilled or replaced often enough and we had to request more hot milk or plates…
The room cleaning was not great. Tea, coffee, towel not refilled or replaced completely. Also long hairs were found in the room (not ours!)

Very nice! Located within walking distance to a large variety of restaurants and attractions. The Santa Catalina Monastery is located right across the street. It’s a must see! Artesanal Restaurant, 13 Monjas, is right next door with good food and beer. The staff was very attentive and helpful. To name a few, Larry, Araceli, Sra Blanca, and Jaime from breakfast. You will not be disappointed of this location. The price was excellent. Very affordable for I believe Top Hotel. If I ever go back to Arequipa, I will definitely stay there and recommend it to all my friends and family.

The hotel is very well located, i would say the price paid versus what you get is fair but a couple of thing could improve. Check out is at 10 which i think is too early as it is usually at 12 everywhere else. The reception security guard at night was closed so you depend on someone to open the door for you or in some cases you had to call a number which was a bit annoying as i had to wait around 15/20 minutes to get out of the hotel at 10:30pm, he wasn’t very friendly either when you would ask him questions, also my room was extremely hot not sure why but i didn’t feel very comfortable. Breakfast is fine.
