Great location - parking easy in hotel de ville parking - 3 minutes walk away - only issue was a strange sliding door into bathroom but otherwise good

We stayed three very comfortable nights. Breakfast in the room was offered but we chose not to use this service.
The reception clerks were great; on arrival, on departure, and at all times in between.
If we ever return to Poitiers we would hope to stay at Hotel Central.
The only negative thing was the three idiots in the street shouting to each other at 3:00 AM, all three nights.

Pleasant hotel in the center of Poitiers. Breakfast (extra charge) served only in rooms. Paid parking available in nearby garages. Many restaurants and shops in the area.

Stunning location but the Hôtel disappointed, depressing reception area , lift about 100 years old , bedroom & bathroom tiny. Double bed too small. Ok for 2 nights max

Excellently located, very nice, clean property with extremely kind and welcoming staff. I was very pleased and would absolutely return.

This hotel was exceptional value for money. The room was compact (I was expecting that, because it was "economy"), but it was very comfortable and it had a desk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast was cheap and delivered to your room. Other reviews have mentioned the noise, but this wasn't noticeable other than one night when there was a festival in the square and even then it wasn't a big problem - well-insulated windows. Overall, a really great hotel for the very reasonable price.

The hotel is nicely placed. Prestations are correct but not sure at a level of 3 stars. Only 1 lift and ver narrow. Rooms are very small. No restaurant room even for breakfast.
Reception is spoiled with fast food at the ground floor.
Staff is nice and efficient, and is advising well about restaurants and places to visit.
This counterbalancing and the global experience is positive.

Hotel is located just in the center of the city. My room was super tiny and a bit dated, but was ok for one night stay.

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring the centre of Poitiers and has lovely views over the town square and town hall. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. However, the noise from other guests went on well into the night & started early again in the morning. The staff were all very pleasant.

Great hotel in the center of town with bio market around the corner and Boulangerie Emile within a block near the parking garage. Many restaurants nearby. Amazing, Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, clean, updated with AC! Great value for the price. Look no further for convenience and comfort. Paid parking garage nearby. Night time parking is 1 euro for the night. Otherwise 2 euro per hour. Would definitely return.

It was central to everything in Poitier and pleasant walking around the ancient town.
The hotel has basic amenities and a bit drab but location was perfect for me.

Nice hotel just facing the main square, a few minutes walk from all city center's main sites. The room wasn't very spacious but was comfortable and clean and had a great view over the square. I came by car, and used the city parking nearby for the night (1€ from 19h to 08h).

Chambre assez petite.

Great location for the city centre. Very noisy at night if you are in the front of the hotel, as the square was several times busy until 3am. However, after three nights suffering this, the hotel kindly moved me to a room on the other side of the hotel for the same price.

No one was at the Hotel when I arrived, it was locked and I had to find another place to stay. And, no. One answered my calls. Very I’m personable.

Hotel is find. You have to park in an underground parking 3 block away and lug your luggage. The parking in affordable but been in the downtown it is noisy. The city is very nice and the Hotel in a good location

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights over a 10 day period. Our first room was in the back of the hotel, a bit dark and small. We stayed there 2 nights, we left to Scotland and came back to stay 2 more nights in a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony looking over the square. They said this room was smaller than the first but with the large french doors, it seemed much larger and much lighter. It was a bit loud at night with the doors open but it you closed them you would be quite warm. The cost was the same for both rooms. Request to look over the Square and hope for cool temps. Both rooms were clean and functional. There is a very SMALL elevator to bring luggage up the stairs.

They "forgot" to mention that there was a concert scheduled for the night in the plaza right under the room window when I booked. When I saw the stage being setup and inquired they finally told me that the concert was going to last until 1am. But they forgot to mention that it would be followed by dismantling of the stage. So after going to sleep at 1am (windows were shaking from noise before that) I woke up at 5:30am to the banging of hammers and noise of pipes being thrown on the floor, plus machines cleaning up the plaza. And it only stopped at 8am on Sunday morning, just when I was supposed to get ready for my day. When I complained that they should have told me they offered the breakfast (7.5 euros, room was 65, breakfast was bad by the way - old croissant, bad coffee) and did not even apologized for the inconvenience. I will never ever book a room in this hotel again.

Myself and my twin brother stayed in the Central Hotel overnight before leaving for the Benedictine Monastry in Font Gom Bault the next day. We found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly and the hotels location is right in the middle of Poitiers. The rooms were very clean though on the small side but grand for a brief trip. Breakfast cost a little extra but served to the room which was very pleasant.
All in all,I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers looking for a reasonable, clean and very central location.
The hotel lived up to its name!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Central. Location was perfect - right in the middle of town. Hostess was very nice, helpful, and fun to talk with. The hotel was within walking distance of all of the sights to see and plenty of restaurants. It was wonderful to walk around this old city and enjoy the surroundings. We will stay there again.

My hotel room on the top floor was excellent. It was compact, but well set out and had obviously been renovated to a high standard recently. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The reception desk is not manned at all times and I arrived on a Sunday at a time when the hotel was locked. However, I had phone them before hand and was given an access code to let myself in and the key and room details were left for me on the desk. The hotel in is in an excellent central location. I thought this hotel was great value for money.
