This was very well priced. Despite being in a run down neighbourhood, the room was clean and acceptable. The girl on reception was very pleasant and willing to be of assistance.

The breakfast was lovely. The staff we lovely. The hotel is lovely with a bit of character. The pub was lovely and the beer was lovely too. Lovely and quiet. Rooms were basic but lovely and clean. Price is great. Definitely recommend staying here.

Saturday night was very noisy in the street under single bedroom with drunken abusive shouting - window had to be open on a hot night because no A/C in the room.
Breakfast was very reasonable for £5.50

The room décor wasn't great, very drab, lots of brown, unmatching pillow cases and the mattress base was visible. Felt an unloved room to be honest. The TV was quite small and having stayed there previously for a more budget room it was disappointing the room was worse than the first one we stayed in. The noise from the hotel generator impacted on my sleep on both occasions as couldn't switch off from it a night. The bathroom had marks running down all walls that were slightly oily touch. Not sure what that was? There was also an empty wine bottle and glass left outside our room on top of a radiator for the two days we were there. The bed was comfortable and the room size was good but I wont be staying there again.

Friendly and accommodating staff regardless of race or colour. The environment is serene but they serve purely English meals.

There was a wedding reception and my room overlooked it very noisy and lots of people smoking outside so had to shut window but didn’t sleep till noise stopped gone 12am had to be up at 5am. Other than that the room was nice enough and staff was fine. Should of been informed of the wedding reception before booking

Just very basic. Room 19 had a whole in the bathroom door. The shower tray flooded when in the shower. But staff were excellent

Booked this as was the only one available near IceSheffield for my sons hockey tournament. The room very basic - you get what you pay for which was VERY economical! BUT it was on the whole clean - the windows had lipstick kiss marks on it and the shower tiles still had shower gel on them! the bed lined was clean - bit tired but the bed was comfy! didn't stay for breakfast but it smelt good. The bar was great! great for all the shops round the confrere and the chinese opposite was excellent food!

Service at breakfast was a joke. Very basic room, not even a sachet of shampoo. Inadequate towels. Cheap but not cheerful.

Hotel reception and cleanliness all good. Party on however in back function room which went on until midnight. We were there for a sports event our child was taking part in who needed rest. Unfortunately very little rest was had. Such a shame as parking and everything else was good.

We came from Burnham-On-Sea to spend a weekend to visit a friend, we were greeted by a lovely lady on the Friday. But when it got to the evening, I travelled back to the hotel at 8:30pm to put my 2 year old child to sleep and not long after mid-night the music was still playing although it is law to turn music down from 11pm (I know this due to my own bar work experience). Between that time until 3:45am, a man also staying at the hotel was intoxicated and kicking the door opposite ours due to being locked out! He was shouting “Megan let me in” consistently even after me having to speak to him to warn him there is a child asleep. Between 4-6 I managed to sleep and then the staff who came in around 6:15/6:30am all went outside for a cigarette on the tabled area right beneath our window talking and laughing. The second day we were out mainly enjoying the Meadowhall and nearby shopping centre to come back in the evening around 8pm, we sat and enjoyed the karaoke till 11pm when we thought the music would have stopped. However the music continued to 12:30am and we could hear every conversation and door shutting a from our neighbours next to us.
So the walls are very thin, the windows do not restrict sound from outside and there was no staff to report this to through the night! We were also informed that breakfast was available in the mornings however between 8-9 when we came downstairs there were no breakfast services.
We wouldn’t recommend staying here with a small child.

A really nice and cozy place!👍👍

There was a party and people kept pounding on the back window, the place is just a lodge not hotel, too much heat, they said it included breakfast, I had kids, got in the morning and there was no breakfast, nothing like a flat iron, it’s generally basic, for business not family or couple.

Friendly staff and greeting on arrival, clean, good food and bar available, couldnt fault the hotel, staying for daughters gym competition so did the job, just struggled with the fact a wedding was on in the reception room till nearly 12.30am and we had to be up at 6.20am and it felt like the dj was in our bathroom but what can you do. It did what we needed to do and the location was ideal. Great price aswell.

If you are after a quiet stay then make sure your room is not above the bar at the front as it was lively till after midnight, plus the main road in front is a very busy/noisy thoroughfare. The room was stiflingly hot with no temperature control and asked receptionist to turn heat off but no joy ! The bed was 2 singles together and very lumpy. The TV was the smallest i have seen in a hotel and remote didn't work...however shower was excellent as was the full english breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful and place was clean and tidy. Situated at the end of an industrial estate spoils any views...Price of b&b was decent tho'.

Room was terrible. Loud humming noise in room all night. Think it was either fuse box or key card unit for power to room. Not given wifi, contact number rang out. Had to chase staff for a roll of loo paper. The mattress was disgusting needs throwing out. Barman was scary. Bad area, left very quickly.

We booked through Hotels.com and were looking forward to staying in the deluxe double only to find out when we arrived that the picture on the booking didn’t match the room we were in. When I spoke to the receptionist about it she sort of laughed it off and said oh yes that’s the bridal suite? Was pretty annoyed about that so wasn’t the best start. Tap in the bathroom was broken, there wasn’t enough towels and the bed was very firm and uncomfortable.
