Hotel is nice. Since last time I went, fitness center and spa were renovated and for me was perfect.
Anyway, best part of Hotel I believe to be the staff. All of them very kind and ready to help.
A special thanks to Mrs. Assem. Amazing quality manager. So helpful.

A bit outdated furniture and carpet in the room, would be much better with a refresh. The pool area is amazing but some services were unavailable. Food was good.

The staff was really helpful and very nice!

The Rahat Palace has been our favourite hotel in Almaty for some time
Most of the facilities are excellent and the food and in particular the staff who are first class
The one issue is that some areas would benefit from some TLC
The hotel opened circa 1994 and it is fair to say that some areas would benefit from being refreshed otherwise we always enjoy our stays and will continue to do so
We had some particular issues with our last stay which we addressed directly with the hotel during our stay and which were resolved to our satisfaction

I booked President Suit for five nights. The air conditioners from 3 were not working. People at the front desk were disrespectful. Regarding the room, we did not have anything. I had to book another hotel and ran away from that place. The worst experience ever. Thank you to the Expedia team they work with, and I got a full refund in 24 hours.

Staff was extremely unfriendly. They were unable and unwilling to help with anything, most didn't speak a word of English.
The pool - for which we chose this hotel - was not available during the whole 6 days of our stay without any excuses/ alternatives, due to maintenance.
The carpet in the room was dirty and torn in multiple places. The room wasn't cleaned/vacuumed during the whole stay (6 days), despite it being a dedicated room for allergic people. The toilet paper was not filled up, we had to get some ourselved for the restaurant toilets. We booked a roome for three and had only ONE bed cover.

I had booked my room nearly 40 days before the actual stay. I called the hotel specifically to request for a non-smoking room. They confirmed the same on the call as well as via return mail. Nearly six weeks later when I enter into my room, the pungent smell makes me realise it was a smoking room. I told the reception who said they have no other rooms. I then went down and demanded to speak with a Manager - after some time, they allotted me a non-smoking room. When I went to the room, I realised it was much smaller - upon calling the reception again, I was told it was indeed one category lower and that it was the only room they had. So, in more than 20 years of travelling around the world, it was the first time when a hotel messed up and then, to make up for their mistake, DOWNGRADED ME!! And none of them even had the decency to apologize, let alone offer a voucher or credit to at least make up for the fact that they charged me for a higher category room but forced me to stay in a LOWER category room. Extremely unprofessional and thoroughly disappointing

A very nice hotel ! I stayed 10 days. I had a beautiful suite, really large. Most of the time, I had diner at the restaurant Moné : excellente and creative cuisine. At Wine store & Grill, I had a diner only one time It was good and very well done. Large breakfast the morning at the Dzhambul restaurant. There is even a vegan buffet. A lot of choice. A cook can prepare your food on demand. I recommend this hotel without any hesitation. I will come back.

Great location in the city, and a lovely place to stay at.

For the weary traveler who might have had a long journey to Almaty, this hotel is a great place to stay. Clean facilities, good food, friendly staff, and 24 hr room service. I was happy to get a cup of coffee at 430 am when I really needed it. Breakfast buffet is also very good.

You didn't include the breackfast, which was unpleasant surprise for me.

Initially liked the floor plan but ultimately found it inconvenient. The lasting impression was that - with exception of one waiter and one very helpful and competent manager - the staff was unfriendly. They did not smile or greet guests and were often even resistant to help guests unless the guest insisted. There were other things: A 24-hour restaurant that looked closed at night because there was almost no lighting. A key card door system that went down and temporarily locked guests out of their rooms. A bed with a broken bedframe. Weak air conditioning. Would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Dated carpets emitting unfresh smell

The rooms are a bit outdated but has a balcony and overall very clean, it might be the best hotel in this price range. The breakfast is great and lobby is beatiful, and has a restaurant in the middle thar works late.

The hotel is nice in general, but needs the repair- carpet, trimmings etc. The amenities are very good- sauna and swimming pool.
In walking distance a lot of dining options.

There work very brave people who despite the January riots in Almaty, remained very smiling and friendly.

I like to stay in this hotel, when in Almaty. The premises are good, and rooms clean, although age is showing already. And the staff is always so friendly.

Отличный отель в центре города, немного требующий обновления особенно в фитнес-зале, но за свои деньги прекрасный вариант.

Rakhat Palace is still a lovely hotel with great beds and nice rooms, but the public areas are definitely showing signs of neglect - the carpet is clean but is in below-average condition, for example. The staff at the breakfast buffet is wonderful, but the selection of items available is greatly diminished from years past. I would stay there again, but I would not be excited about it.

Still a good hotel, although over the last few years general services have deteriorated a bit. However given price / quality / location ratio it is a value for money. Be aware about breakfast set up during corona pandemic - main restaurant is closed so they serve it at the lobby; no more buffet but pre ordered breakfasts with rather basic choices. Breakfast time 7-10am with extra half an hour during weekends and public holidays. Spa centre is open from 10am until 10pm these days. Still good although some equipment in running and cycling room is out of service for several years now. Gym is still fine though. Swimming pool, sauna and other wet zones are still good as well.

The room was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Massage at the spa was great! Fitness equipment in good shape. However, I forgot they have no kettle, not coffee or tea in the room. Disappointing. No mini-bar or snacks. I would really like these things to be there.

The room itself was ok and clean. But this hotel needs a staff training for breakfast service. It took 40mins to get just omelets even we pre-ordered and time arranged a day before and finally the staff brought it without a table set... and asked a couple of times but took another 10mins without any news. Food got cold and I don't understand how he served food only..

Good staff in context of service in Kazakhstan and CIS.

I spent almost 4 weeks at the hotel and was very pleased. The friendly staff, cleanliness and delicious food made my vacation unforgettable.

When visiting Almaty I usually stay in Rahat Palace because it has good location, it is clean and I like the impression, how the hotel is situated in the park. The age of the hotel begins to show a little, but friendly staff, good services and very nice breakfast are very much on plus side. Especially in the summer the garden restaurant is very nice place for eat or have refreshments.
2.0
It was very nice hotel.
There was outside cafeteria, in the garden. It looked so amazing and so nice.
Just few things, the wifi wasn't connected as automatically that I had to connect wifi every morning.
Also, the room number order was unusual that it was hard to find my room. Room number 12 was next 10, not 11.
