Haimurubushi is an exceptional hotel! It is true reflection of the exquisite Japanese hospitality. My family and friends stayed there for 4 nights, everything is superb.

This is a great place to relax and unwind. We were lent a golf cart that we can use to travel anywhere within the Haimurubushi. We were treated with utmost respect the entire time we were there and the staff were very courteous. The breakfast is absolutely splendid and gorgeous. There were no shortage of food to enjoy and many of them were delectable and tasty. We wish we had the space to eat more over there.I dont think I need to talk about the scenery since the pictures speak for themselves. But I will say this: In addition to the beautiful scenery, there are many facilities and affordances here to help you enjoy the natural scenery more. I personally liked relaxing on a hammock and staring off into the sunset.

Super relaxing, lovely suite with an open bath with views of the ocean. Great snorkeling nearby with super calm and clear water. Whole island is easy to cross via bicycle, and its peaceful to enjoy the lack of other people as you pass by rows of sugar cane. The night view of stars is beautiful, due to the absence of light pollution. Its fun to rent a golf-cart and putter around the resort.

Everything about this place was great. Island itself, transportation, food, room, etc but the best was the friendliness of the staff and their genuine smiles. I will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful hotel with very good choice for breakfast buffet (both Weetern and Japanese). Room was spacious, bright and comfortable with an exceptional ocean view and outside sofa opening on a neat lawn. Swimming pool area is very nice. The beach is stunning and the beach bar/cafe was our favourite out of all the options available at the hotel for both food and drinks. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice view and comfortable living area. The beach is so relaxing and you can spend at least half day there. There is also plenty of activities that you can join, such as, yoga, fishing, spa, etc.

The dinner buffet was bad, other than that, it is a great resort.

After a long journey from Scandinavia, I was looking to do a little swimming/snorkeling, as advertised online. To my horror, the beach is closed this time of year. We found plenty of places for a dip elsewhere AND the hotel staff were extremely acmodating when I expressed my disappointment. This is an absolutely beaitiful resort, fantastic food (buffet to fine dinning) and ultra relaxing. We would return, recommend and suggest you too. Just know the season and beach rules in advance, they do have very fluent English speaking staff. Just ask. Cheers!

Overall this is excellent facility, located in the best part of such small southern island.Cozy and clean room, staff is very caring and attentive, and variety of facilities make our family trip unforgetable one.Only my complaint is their scarce choice of, and expensive restaurant. Most of foods are served as buffet style or course dishes (except for lunch). Since this Southern islands area are very famous for unique food and drinking cultures, we expected to have wider choice of foods and eating styles. We only had one dinner at the hotel in my 5 nights stay. For other time (including lunch), we went out and mingled with local/tourist people in the small local bar/bistros, enjoying their local foods and drinks. That was very fun AND cost saving!Other than that, we pretty much enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Highly recommended!

Though we go as a couple, I find that this resort caters to everyones need. There is a sort-of mini animal area (wont call it zoo though) such as water buffalo in a pond, sheep/lamb?, ducks wandering around an area which is perfect for kids. The cute part is that you can buy the feeds from a vending machine and feed the always hungry ducks lol the whole resort is very scenic and has recommended photo shooting area for guests which is always perfect for Asian like me. If you like reading under the trees, there are plenty of huge trees for you to do that. If you like lying on a hammock underneath trees, there are also scattered throughout the resort. The private beach is a bit too shallow for adults and this is why i think this resort is meant for family with young kids even the pool has an area thats 0.3m ideally for kids/infants. We rented a cart/buggy for a day around the resort coz from one area to the next there is a possibility you need to walk for like 1 km so cart is essential (cant remember exactly and you get to drive you own cart!). By the way, they provide free shuttle services to and from the port. The rooms are clean, big and accomodate our needs. Toilet and shower are separated. There is Nespresso machine in the room. The breakfast was good and even serve Champagne for the luxurious feel. I will definitely come back when i have a small kid one day.

Friendly staff and some can communicate well in English. It does help if you can speak some Japanese. They offer tour bookings from the hotel which makes it much easier to plan activities. The rooms were very nice with hardwood floors. The pool has a very shallow side for children to play in. They offer a view spa as well that overlooks the island. Overall a great resort and I intend to visit again.
