Location was great. Walkable or short uber rides to many sites. Friendly staff. Puzzling shortage of hooks for towels in bath room as well as stinginess in suppling towels. But in general, what you expect from a Radisson.

Had an amazing time! The hotel was very nice, the staff was friendly and the hotel restaurant was very good. Our room had a balcony with great views of the city. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting from out of town or just want a staycation in the city.

Nice room nice view clean great staff very professional
4.2
the rooms are fab, beautiful building and friendly staff. just a few things to consider if you’re traveling with elder folks: hotel staff are not allowed to print off boarding passes for you. just a little thing but that’s the type of thing that gives my beloved elder some extra stress.
4.2
The hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. However, due to the fire station located immediately adjacent to the hotel and the noise, I was unable to sleep. They had numerous call all night long. The wind noise from outside was very intrusive. Considering what I paid for the room, my expectations were higher. My expectations were not met.
4.2
The finishes within the room are low-end, which would have been sub-optimal when new. As the hotel has aged, blackout curtains with holes in them, furniture bolted to the floor with peeling laminate and pillows that are thinner than a folded sheet are no good.
In addition, it is completely inscrutable that any property, anywhere on the planet, still attempts to force people to use their pay as you go mini-fridge. EVERYONE wants to use the fridge for themselves and NO ONE wants to buy whatever crap you put in it - especially since CVS is right downstairs.

Great place! Loved it.

A hotel that has seen better days with some of its amenities.
having stayed here twice previously can certainly see the decline especially at the price point they put themselves at. Nothing major just a few frustrations with various facillities etc that shouldnt happen.
One key benefit was recognised on check in and an upgraded room was given which was appreciated, excellent view of park with balcony!
Staff are excellent in the main, location is very good. Bed was very comfy which are the main issues.
Ok shower ameneities, shower spacious but water pressure on the low side but manageable.
Just need to iron out the issues and give the hotel some TLC.
Next time i visit Chi ill prob try somewhere else tbh.

Everything was great. Only disappointment was we thought we would have a balcony, and we didn't. Otherwise, it was perfect.

We were very happy with our stay. The location is excellent. The hotel is lovely and comfortable. We even enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Everything went well for us there except the indoor Jacuzzi didn’t always work, and the outdoor Jacuzzi was too cool. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The elevators were quick. They do not offer complementary coffee and tea in our room, which was a first ever. We will likely stay there again on our next visit to Chicago.
4.2
The pool was awful. The room was ok but smelled of smoke. The night desk person was very kind and helpful but absolutely everyone else was very difficult and rude. No one would help with my bags or help me store them after checkout. Would not return.

A perfect stay for an end of summer getaway with my sisters. The pool was wonderful, the pool party was so fun. This hotel is amazing.

I’ve been staying at the Blu for years and this time I wasn’t very happy with my stay. The bed was hard as a rock, killed my back. The pillows were terrible. Very cheap feeling. Motel quality. Not like before. The amenities in the bathroom were literally just soap and hair. Not $300 a night worthy. Had my thermostat set at 65, woke up sweating each night- felt like 80 in the room. Room service woke us up knocking to clean at 9:30am! Before check out! And came knocking at 6:30 pm and many other random times while we’re trying to nap or relax. Very disappointed in my stay. Parking from Friday night to 10 am Sunday was $118.00! Also.

Nice hotel with very good service
4.2
Rooms little out dated but not having our room ready by check in time left a sour taste … especially since I tried to get early check in
4.2
Great hotel on a prime location.
Walkable to Millenium Park, Magnificent Mile, Chicago River Walk, rooftops bars and many shopping stores.

Got an upgraded room with a balcony

This is a lovely place in much need of TLC. Having stayed here before, we had other stays to compare it to and the rooms are in need of both a deep cleaning, but many of the common areas are really showing their age, wear and tear. The service has fallen terribly. One of us fell and hurt ourselves. We needed room service to bring us ice (no matter the cost) as our need was rather urgent. Calling room service and NO ONE ANSWERED. So we tried calling the Front Desk: No one answered. We called the concierge: Same; NO ANSWER. The operator: NO answer. Every single option to call and no one answered for a very long time. The ice maker on our floor didn't work (once I found it... it's not marked on the map to know even IF there is one available. The realization that in our need, no one would even answer a phone told us we were not in good hands when it comes to caring for the guests in any way; casually or urgently.

We had a great time in Chicago also thanks to this hotel! When I booked I did not know that was a small architectural gem!
4.2
Small room with no usable minifridge. Not able to use Uber at location. Parking confusing. Lot of staff on cell phones, ignoring clients.
4.2
Great service,
Great location.
Everyone was very helpful and the hotel itself was exceptional

Lobby remains very cool. Check-in procedure. What's not good? We were offered a better bed configuration which was nice. We were told to come back when we got a text. We never got a text, so we came back and we were told that our room was not ready. We asked the agent at the desk to check and there was an identical room that was ready.? We were not able to check into our room until around 7 pm, which was four hours later than the regular check in time. The room was fine. Nothing special. Most of the electrical outlets did not work, and the bathroom door got stuck and someone had to come and let me out from the outside of the bathroom. The barista at the coffee shop in the lobby had an attitude and told me next time to order an item that was not on the menu. " You should have ordered a short." a short is not on the menu. We had lunch in the Fire Lake restaurant, which was very tasty but took an hour and a half even though the restaurant was only approximately thirty percent filled. The area around the hotel is very quiet and gives you a nice escape from Michigan. Ave and the Loop, the proximity to millenium park is great. Huge gym with tons of equipment shared with the luxury condo upstairs. The doorman was always cheerful and made us feel welcome. Overall, the hotel is fine. Nothing special, and I think you will find nicer places to stay at a similar price point.

The hotel was in a nice location and the hotel room was clean. Parking in the garage seemed limited and it was difficult to find a spot on the weekend. We finally just valet parked it. The amenities are not in good condition. The pool looks so nice in the pictures but the cement could use a powerwash and there were cracks around the pool. The hot tub was luke warm. The pool room seemed like a good idea but there was only on pool stick and it was broken. The sauna was nice but the steam room was smelly and I decided not to even go in there. For the price, I will not stay here again. I've stayed at a lot of hotels near the Magnificant mile since I like in the Chicago suburbs. But this is the only one that I will not rebook.

The hotel was nice. My family and I stayed for 2 nights . I did not like when I took my kids to the pool, there were no towels left in the towel closet. I also didn’t like how multiple people were doing swim lessons in the pool causing my children to feel restricted to one corner of the water. The restaurant on the property was excellent. The food and services were great. Housekeeping came into my room while I was gone, but only replenished the snack bar. When housekeeping left, they didn’t close my door completely, causing my room to be left unsecured. I also had to request for housekeeping to bring fresh towels. Overall the hotel was okay. With the cost per night, they were not as welcoming to the hotel guests as I had hoped.
4.2
very cool space and the hallways on all the floors are super artsy. The staff really was genuinely kind at attentive. TEN STARS to the bellmen... I had to store my suitcases when I first got there and when I checked out as well. No matter how many times I had to get into my suitcase they were pleasant and smiling. The location is perfect - easy walk to anywhere including the park. The pool indoor and outdoor were clean and inviting! Looking forward to my next stay!

Nice hotel. Good location
4.2
There was no fridge or microwave in the room. You only have an automatic bill to room minibar fridge that you cannot store personal items in or you will be charge both for the item and a restocking fee.
There was water damage in our room near one of the beds, probably from one of the top floors.
The ice machine on our level did not work, so we went to floors 4,5 and 6 to see which did work and nothing. Only until we made it to floor 8 did we get ice with terrible tongs to pick it up.
The second shower attachment did not work.
The mirror on the wall kept falling very slowly.
The towel rack does not hold the towels very well because they were folded too thick.
No fan in the bathroom to air it out.
The only microwave in the hotel, which by the way you share with the apartment and condo tenants as well, is on the second floor with no direction to where it is.
The walls are so thin you can hear anyone who makes a sound.
The pool closes early, even though it got super crowded during the day.
There are only two elevators for hotel guests but six for the tenants living in the building.
There was no trash bags so all bathroom trash had to go either in the toilet or laying flat in the can.
The TV was not a smart one, so you had to use cables to watch anything.
The only good thing was the location and closeness to the parks and main attractions.
There is a CVS next door, which has scammers outside all night, but its cheaper than buying from the minibar.
The construction..

The staff is really kind and respectful

The property is conveniently located to Grant Park and the downtown area. I was disappointed that when I attempted to checked in at 1:30, although the room was ready the front desk wanted to charge me $30 to receive my key and check in or instructed me to wait for 30 minutes until 2 p.m. to check in to the the room. This was disappointing since the room was cleaned and ready and we were 30 mins from check in time. I was also disappointed that the front desk did not readily provide us with the hotel guest wristbands that would allow us to enter and exit the hotel without issues since the Lollapalooza music festival was going on. She didn't offer the wristband until I said that we would be back later in the evening to check in.
Overall, the hotel was average but overpriced for the amenities, room size, and overall facilities.

Great stay, friendly staff.

This is our most favorite dog-friendly hotel in the city! We will continue coming back! The most perfect summer location!
4.2
It was our Anniversary trip we were there for 3 days. The hotel overbooked so we had to take what was available. Instead of a king we got double queens and a 50 dollar room voucher. Hotel is always clean and staff is very friendly.

The staff and park view were the highlights of the night. The pool party was great fun!

This hotel was great! Very clean, staff was awesome, great location, fitness center is legit. And there was a balcony! Within walking distance of Navy Pier and the riverwalk. CVS was attached to the hotel and just around the corner was a grocery store and some restaurants. Only complaints: the hotel on the site lists a refrigerator, what they don’t tell you is it’s part of the minibar and you can’t use it for anything of your own; and the hot tub was not hot, it was lukewarm at best.
Other than those 2 things, highly recommend staying here if you’re look for an awesome hotel with great places to visit right around the corner.
4.2
We selected this hotel because it was in a good location and reviews and blogs said it was great for families. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially with a family.
The ‘crib’ we requested was not sent to the room until well after we arrived and was a pack & play (which is fine, but there was no padding except for the folded full size bed sheet the hotel provided and you could obviously feel the support beam across the middle). We could also only put the crib in one room because curtains were missing from the other room and was too bright at night from the city lights.
Unlike most hotels, there was nothing to block things from going under the bed or couch. Again this is fine, if it is cleaned. When reaching for a toy, I found a few pills, a knex piece and 2 toothbrushes under the couch.
One night we decided to fit in a quick swim before bedtime (we didn’t go earlier in the day because there was a pool party that was not at all family friendly). There were no towels on the pool deck. I went to the front desk to ask for a few towels. They could not give me any, but said they would bring more up to the pool deck (didn’t happen) or to my room in 15-30 minutes.
Other frustrations include:
- The hotel staff was not friendly or helpful.
- Laundry is listed as an amenity, but there is no laundry on site.
- There were no extra sheets or blankets to use with the pull out couch.

I've been staying at this property for years and they seem to amaze me each and every time with their service.
