Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Very well located in historic area. Good WIFI (you may need to insist on this. Some of the staff did not seem aware of all the options). Great value.

It was amazing, first time in Cuenca celebrating my mom's birthday. Excellent customer service, very friendly. They made us feel welcome during our stay.
The price was great, the location was great, and overall very satisfied. I highly recommended
Thank you for your service.

I came to a conference and the hotel's location was perfect! It was two blocks from everything. Great people and service. Front desk was attentive and the breakfast was very good. Service was wonderful. Room was quiet!

Near the center of the historic district, we could easily walk to all the sites, shops and restaurants from this hotel. What most impressed us was the warm and very helpful staff. They helped us to contact the cab company to look for an item we lost. We really appreciated their support because we are not good Spanish speakers.

The staff was excellent, they went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The breakfast was good, hot and fresh and the coffee was out of this world.
The hotel is older and unique, very clean.
We enjoyed our stay and the price can't be beat.

Very nice staff, great location close to the New Cathedral, decent value for the money. Would have appreciated an elevator.

Outstanding value. Comfortable, quiet, simple rooms. Excellent water pressure. Location is terrific, directly across the street from the light rail stop. If arriving in Cuenca by air or bus, simply buy a $1 ride on the tram and disembark at Santo Domingo.
The only exit is the front door, though, and it is locked at night without an attendant, which seems like a fire hazard. I once tried to ring the bell for the night clerk, but there was no response. I opened the door myself by locating the electronic release behind the desk. But if the electricity went out, what would you do?

Great little secret in the middle of the historical district. Don’t let the price scare you away !

The only friendly staff was the girl who did breakfast. The front desk staff couldn’t put their phones down long enough to help. You were locked out and hoped someone was at the desk to let you in. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Excelente ubicación y precio, muy acogedor con ambiente colonial y hermosas vistas desde su mirador.

The hotel was nice, however they assigned us to the third floor and there was not elevator. Also, they charged us an extra fee because we booked in Expedia.

Very helpful reception. Our time there was very short and we couldn’t enjoy their breakfast as our flight was early. The room was perfect, the receptionist gave us a view overlooking a lit cathedral which was glorious! Very affordable! We will return to enjoy more:)

Hotel was lovely and staff was excellent. Breakfast was very basic. The room, while well-appointed, was small for two people with two suitcases.

Room was tiny and dark, tv didnt work (despite front desk claims that they fixed it three times), and they really shouldnt even claim that they have internet service, much less wifi. See the attached pic for the MAXIMUM speed I was able to achieve over a three day stay. The interior, common areas of the hotel are nice looking, but the room was seriously grim. They need to work on that or else you can do much better in Cuenca.

Hotel Morenica del Rosario is well located just around the corner from the Plaza Calderon in Cuenca. The hotel is comfortable but decidedly old fashioned - kind of frozen in time in fact and filled with Catholic icons. After a first night in a small single room with little ventilation and a chattering bathroom fan, I requested a room change and was pleased to receive a larger room with a balcony above the street, which I was comfortable in for the next two nights. That’s where I left my iPad. Request room 205 and you’ll probably find it still there: on the top of the clothes closet where I forgot it. It’s yours to find!

This is a little gem of a place to stay. Each room is decorated in a different style. Our's had hand painted details on the walls. There are plenty of comfortable spaces to read, play cards or check emails. This is an old colonial hotel remodelled decorated tastefully. Lots of interesting local objects to look at. The hotel is centrally located 2 blocked from the main square and New Cathedral. Everything is a short walk away or an even shorter cheap taxi ride away! The staff is efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. Reception speaks English and are very knowledgable about the area. The hotel is secure . You are buzzed in and out. The area is safe and is patrolled is a hotel we would stay in again and certainly would recommend to all who visit Cuenca.

Its location is very good, less than 10 minute walk from the main Plaza and Cathedral. It is restored and the furniture they selected is really nice, it resembles a House of the 1800's on a very sophisticated way. Our room was very nice, comfortable, hot water, wifi. Breakfast is good, they have Tea/Coffee time at 5pm. It worked pretty well for us

We booked for a room with queen-size bed. We got a small room with a cramped bathroom and a doubtful queen-size bed. The shower wasn’t properly cleaned, but it had a good flow. The bathroom walls were freshly but badly white washed, we could still smell the paint. Breakfast wasn’t exciting, a buffet with a couple of chopped fruits and granola. Cheese and ham portions as well as butter and jam were so small that it was ridiculous.
The staff tried its best.
Overall disappointed for the money spent.
