It was a very convenient location for exploring. I was able to visit ost places on foot. The room was bery compfy and absolutely quiet, despite being on a main road. All the staff were efficient and polite. The breakfast was also very good.
I would definitely stay here again.

Very good hotel worth what you pay. About 10 min walk to main town. Rooms are good. Restaurant was a bit overpriced but good food.

If you're looking for a place with a focus on service, then this is absolutely your choice! You might find a slightly better mattress (maybe) at Radisson or Holiday Inn but you would be trading a very small comfort for an unbelievable level of service. I don't know who in the management is motivating this fantastic level of attention to detail, but keep it up!

I enjoyed my time at this place. it is more like a business hotel than a typical Nepal place. It is quiet, clean and very comfortable. the staff was great and the food at breakfast and restaurant amazing. I recommend if you are looking for a place to relax after or before a long trek

All the staff were amazing. I didn’t get most of the staff’s names, but the one’s sticking to my mind are Prashanna, Kavita and Asmita at front desk. Also the house keeping staff were attentive and friendly. The Diplomat restaurant where the breakfast was served, those staff were very cooperative. On my last day, they were very kind enough to even pack me a couple of sandwiches for my onward flight. Only the food from their rooftop restaurant didn’t suit my

Excellent hotel to stay. However, room service has to be 24/7 to become better

Staff, location, and room were all excellent. I've stayed in other Lazimpat hotels, and this one is the best value for money.

Very friendly, informative staff. Clean rooms and amazing choices of food from the restaurants. Would recommend it if u are staying in Kathmandu, as it is easy to travel to different parts of the city from the hotel.

The staff were the best I have ever experienced. So helpful and polite. The whole stay was brilliant. If this place had a pool I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Katmandu

Overall the place is nice and clean. Well maintained. Our room was a bit noisy but because of the location that cannot be helped. I could also hear the alarms and the phones of my neigbors so sound proofing should be reviewed. All in all it wasn't too bad though.
I did not like the huge number of cameras all over the place. While I do understand the need for cameras in strategic places for the safety of the guests, this safety should not be achieved at the cost of the guests' privacy. I am a frequent traveller but will not stay at this hotel again for this reason. Safety and privacy should be balanced reasonably.

Stayed here overnight after a long drive through the mountains. Late check-in but was accommodated by the manager to have a late supper when their dining room was fully booked. Was upgraded to a balcony room with a view of the mountains. The rooms are large, nicely appointed with modern fixtures. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. A good selection of cuisine on the menu and the prices are reasonable. This hotel is good value for your money. Most of all, the service was beyond my expectations from check-in to finding us a driver to tour the city to accommodating for late checkout. I plan to stay here whenever I return to Kathmandu and will recommend it to my friends.

If you go to Kathmandu, Hotel Ambassador is a fantastic place to stay. The location is perfect. Not in the heart of the tourist district but an easy taxi ride to all the sites and quieter. The room is clean and very comfortable with all the amenities. The breakfast is sensational. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this hotel!

The Ambassador hotel was a recommended stay by the mountain biking tour group we came to Nepal to ride with. Great accommodations, wonderful breakfast, very professional staff. Highly recommend.

The staff is friendly and warm but I think they need some more training in understanding what the customers need. I had asked for a quiet room and I was given a room right above the restaurant which created noise till 10.30pm and started again at 5.30am. The second room I moved in to had its toilet flush broken.Day three house keeping did not clean my room. The staff tried to resolve the issues swiftly but if they are well trained, perhaps the issues won't arise at all.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night. Our room felt like a quiet oasis in a very busy neighborhood of Kathmandu. The room was spacious, new, and very clean. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet. Although the hotel is in a central location, we mostly ended up taking cabs due to the bad air quality and heavy traffic near the hotel.

Room condition is nicer than other hotel rooms at same price level in Kathmandu.
Lobby is too small to have a casual meeting.

Small boutique property. Newly refurbished rooms, with comfortable bed. Helpful staff and good location.

The staff were ok, but amenities were quite lacking. The room we booked wasn’t available and there is no gym or fittness center at the hotel. Also no sitting spaces (other than the small lobby) for meetings and working. The location is ideal, but the hotel needs to work on customer service and amenities.

The Ambassador is a wonderful hotel that is close to Thamel. The hotel is clean and has a couple of good restaurants on site. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Ambassador by ACE hotels.
