Very well located, big room and beds. Very pleasant place. Good service! The rooms towards the street may be a bit noisy. Recommended hotel in Quito.

Loved the place! Super cool hotel, better than 3 stars

This hotel, in the historic area of Quito, is a beautiful and week run hotel. The employees are attentive, helpful and most speak English as well as Spanish. There is a lovely shop attached to the hotel for gifts & treasures. Also, a fun “chocolate” sampling and history is presented each evening. The food is terrific, both morning and evening. Our only complaint is about the pillows … too hard. Oh, and earplugs are provided as occasional outside revelry can disrupt sleep. Use them:)

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Old Town Quito. Welcoming and warm interior, very hospitable and friendly. We sat with the manager upon arriving and he immediately made us feel welcome and important. We had questions about touring the old town, and touring the important sights of the city. He helped us plan our itinerary, told where & how to be cautious, and then sent us off to settle into our beautiful room. Dinner and breakfast both wonderful and delicious. The next day he lined us up with a driver/tour guide who spoke both Spanish and English, and had grown up in the city & environs. He, also, was wonderful so we used him for all of our various adventures. We highly recommend this lovely hotel for any time one is in Quito.

Large room, lounge with city view, lots of natural light. The taxi couldn't drop us directly there, as the street was closed for festivity, but the security guard came to assist us.

The hotel was very lovely, staff was helpful. I liked the chocolate tasting they held. The food in the restaurant was great. Thank you.

This was one of the most amazing hotel experiences I have ever had. From the beginning, the staff offered us tea, coffee, and water while we waited for check-in. They also brought up our luggage which was so appreciated because of the altitude change. The hotel itself was beautiful and felt so safe. There is 24/7 staff and security A security guard even walked us to the restaurant and waited for us to walk back. Ask for the driver named Alex as he was so knowledgeable about the history of Ecuador and we felt so safe with him. Also, there is a restaurant attached to the hotel and the food is amazing! They are always open and the food is fresh, healthy, and delicious. I have absolutely enjoyed my time here and will recommend anyone to visit this hotel. I can not wait to return one day.

It is a beautiful colonial property with big rooms. We loved both squash soups and their desserts. Omar and the rest of the staff are very helpful.

This property was perfectly located in historic center. The staff and security were beyond helpful and made us feel so safe and welcomed! The hotel was clean, authentic and so cozy. Breakfast was great, the front desk staff were more than willing to help with taxis, things to see/do and restaurant recommendations. Would stay here again!! Highly recommend!!

My second time in Quito and loved this property so much the first time I decided to stay again. Like the fact they have a cute little restaurant in the cellar and the service is exceptional. Rooms are clean and big located very close to the main Square and you can walk easily to the goal church.

The staff was efficient, friendly, and went out of their way to be accommodating. The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. We were warned not to walk down certain streets but that seemed to be the case in other areas as well. It would nit deter us from staying there again.

We stayed here for a few nights on either side of a trip to Galapagos. The place is really a beautiful boutique hotel Built in 1738 in the heart of the historic district of Quito
They payed amazing attention to detail in the restoration
and the place which is very classy and comfortable. The staff was extremely attentive, the restaurant was great for the buffet breakfrast. It is on a very lively street for shopping and nightlife, which is very safe at night as well
as they have their own security and the area is well patrolled by the tourist police who are also very helpful for directions. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this place!

A very lovely property. Our room was beautiful, quiet and well-equipped. We loved the special touches like the robes and slippers, little chocolates and easy access to a water refilling station on each floor. The attentiveness to safety and security was excellent. There were additional spots in the hotel, such as a third floor room with couches and a beautiful view, and areas on the main floor, where coffee/tea/snacks were on hand each evening.

Well-managed boutique hotel with excellent staff. Love the readily available filtered water available throughout the hotel. Convenient airport transfer and great private tour arrangements as well. Will stay again.

Beautiful hotel, amazing 9 ft. wife bed, right in the Colonial old town.

Staff was super helpful. Hotel is a quaint boutique feel and we loved it. Parking is the only tough part but totally understandable based on location. Location is perfect for a tourist though. Staff was incredibly kind and worked with our changes.

Great historic boutiques hotel. Bear in mind you are at altitude and there are stairs. The restaurant is terrific and so is the service.

We stayed in a family apartment at La Casona de Ronda. This is an annex to the main hotel. The location is excellent and the condition of the units were impeccable.
My main complaint is service related. Prior to the trip, I had made specific inquiries to the hotel about the stairs in the hotel as I had an elderly mother in her late 70’s. I also knew that Quito was at a very high altitude @9300 feet. I was concerned about climbing stairs and putting her at risk. In my email reply from the hotel, I was told that it was 8-12 steps up to the unit. This wasn’t perfect but doable. Upon Arrival at midnight ( after a very
long day of traveling) however we found the unit was 3 flights up with more stairs in the duplex. We were told by the manager that there were no other two bedrooms. After we stayed for two nights, I discovered that the whole building was empty except for our family and the other side of the annex had an elevator! Seriously? I told the manager Aaron( who was very nice) but he just shook his head and said the other units were only 1 bedrooms and two bedroom was a luxury suite. We had paid for a 2 bedroom luxury suite so even if an upgrade was needed, it was possible. Alternatively, we could have had two 1 bedroom units too. But, nothing was suggested. This is the reason for downgrading my review. I don’t usually do this but this was an important safety issue. As a manager, he had the discretion and knowledge about capacity and should have used it.

What a lovely property. Very historic and the plants and wall paintings give it a welcoming touch. Excellent friendly service, especially from Daniel. Breakfast was also very decent. Very good location in historical center, but the only drawback is that the hotel is on a street that has a lot of noisy bars. Best to request the very quiet rooms in the back. Otherwise a perfect stay.

We rented a two bedroom apartment (separate from main building) and it was spectacular. We had more space than we needed, but it was nice to be able to spread out with the family. We had breakfast daily (for a fee - which was a little high, but convenient and delicious) and a dinner at the restaurant (absolutely delicious). The area can be dangerous at night - we were told many times not to walk the area after dark - but they have security cameras and even a security guard that escorted us back to our apartment after dinner at the main hotel building. During the day, the area is charming. The service was impeccable!
