This was an excellent choice for a day trip to Cinque Terra. Shert walk to the station and then 10 minutes to start Cinque Terra tour from the north. Much quieter than La Spezia and local secret I think. Right on the beach. The hosts were lovely people and though I booked the day later it was no trouble to change for me. They set a high standard in hospitality.

It is located 5min walk from the train station. You are outsider the Cinque Terre.20 mins on a train and your in the first village. With thousand of others. After a long a day hiking it was nice to come home to the little side side hotel with the friendly staff. Great breakfasts. My only negative thing is the showers is made for a very small person.

There is charm at Hotel Lido; the area though is kind of in search of an identity. It's further from Cinque Terre than my 10 minutes of research revealed -- the hotel itself is very close to the train but you lose more than 35 min getting to Riomaggiore and then you can buy the train pass. The staff there are incredibly sweet and professional. Very courteous. Breakfast food and service was quite good but marred by annoyingly constant presence of flies. Room and bathroom itself was quite large and spacious but the bed is old and creaky and the shower itself was quite tiny given how big the room is. There are serious possibilities for Hotel Lido but Deiva Marina itself kind of feels like it doesn't know what to be while on the outskirts of Cique Terre. But it's quite affordable; you're getting what you're paying for; you're just not saving what you hope to in terms of time and money.

Very clean and well managed, close to beaches and restaurants; The breakfast is freshly prepared. Sonia is great.

The hotel has very good location near the beach, with free parking. Also train station is within a 5 min. walk.
Breakfast is continental (not buffet), but it was of better quality.
Deiva Marina is not very lively during the evening, so don't expect many dining options.
The rooms are clean and decently equipped. The bed mattress in our room was very very soft (I got a little back ache). The soundproofing is awful (I advise you bring earplugs).
The bathroom is tiny and the shower is extremely small. I literally couldn't wash my feet because there is no space to bend over or raise one's foot to reach with the hands.

The location is convenient and the owners are wonderful - however, they did not deliver the ocean-view room that was reserved and confirmed. Parking is a challenge and be mindful the adjacent carpark is pre-pay/public. Non-payment for overnight stays is 30 euros penalty. The location is adjacent the beach, but there is a beach bar that blocks views of lower floor and the adjacent campground can be noisy.
