Very clean, quiet, good value for money

The room is very clean and new facility. All staffs are very friendly and the option to communicate with the staff using chat makes it very easy and efficient
3.0
Excellent, friendly, professional and caring staff and management which go out of their way to assist and serve.
Expedia's presentation (by photos) of the property on your website is grossly misleading customers as being on the beach. This is a blatant deceit, hopefully unintentional. No hot water in sinks, hot water supply and control of hot/cold water in showers very bad, very low quality, old bed mattresses

Nice stylish hotel food and drinks expensive, remote location you need transport to get anywhere also not ideal for a single traveller more a couples hotel

Chi Samui Resort is a great. The staff was extremely nice. The rooms are exactly as pictured. There is a gym, spa, and so much more to keep you entertained or to help you relax. The Lanna Cafe has great food at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend Chi Samui Resort.

Quick overnight stay with a flight out the next day - 15 minute walk to conveniences but great hotel if you have some time to kill by the pool.

Very clean and tidy, room was immaculate, air con was excellent, swimming pool and sun beds/seating around was great.
We had inclusive breakfast but it was from a set menu and you only got one coffee which was a little dissapointing, beautiful food just need a little more variety.

Our 2nd visit to Lanna, as we enjoyed it so much on our 1st visit, which was for a special occasion. I notified them in advance it was for a special occasion and there was no additional touches added in the room and no mention of being a returning couple. On checking in we found the room to be rather dated as such, with the walls all scuffed, the sofa with stains on it and in general just required being freshened up to a better standard. During our stay there was constant wirk going on right at the pool area for the whole 5 nights we stayed there, which was unfortunate as there was constant noise and mess in and around the complex. Hot water and water supply in general was constantly off and we couldnt even get a shower some days, due to working on a leak somewhere in the system. As for outside, workmen were working on a new Water Well and there was constant drilling and digging ongoing and the muddy water was running freely down the street and your feet and footware got covered in it everyday. At the pool we had people in the swimming pool with bottles of beer and glasses walking around in their hands and even smoking cigarettes in the pool!. We raised this with the Manageress who spoke to the individuals and the minute she left, they just continued again doing the same and their language was absolutely terrible, shouting and swearing continously. This caused several people to leave the pool area as they had children and obviously felt uncomfortable.

It’s is beautifully decorated and right as you walk in, reception smells so good. The staff were generally friendly and willing to help. I liked the size of the hotel…not too small and not a giant resort either. It was my fiancé’s birthday during our stay and they had the bed decorated and birthday cake waiting for us..very thoughtful!
The hotel was not too far of a walk (about 10mins) from the main strip so that was also convenient.
Now for the cons…they need to change the beds asap! The 2 nights we stayed there were the most uncomfortable nights I’ve experienced in a long time and during our whole Thailand trip. Hard as a rock and just plain bad. For how much (which was a lot!) they charged for their food and drinks, it was severely underwhelming and they got my fiancé’s food orders wrong every time. You’re much better off walk down the street to street vendors or other restaurants along the stripe, which was what we did. Finally, the security deposit. It’s wild that the security deposit was 5,000bht which was way more than the much nicer hotel we had stayed in Bangkok. For 2 nights, that’s a whole lot to demand. Definitely needs to be reviewed.
Overall, it was a decent stay but will definitely go for another location the next time we visit Thailand / Samui.

This hotel has a boutique spa feel. The moment you walk into the main area you feel relaxed. The pool was amazing with great floating chairs. The yoga class and massages were amazing. The rooms were clean and modern with a great terrace overlooking the pool. The room was a bit small with the bed being almost up against the wall with no night stands. The bathroom door was strange and was glass with a hole for the handle and had a big gap around it so there wasn’t much privacy for the bathroom. I liked the fact there was a little kitchenette in the room though. The hotel is a bit remote and not very close to restaurants or shopping. It is about a 1 km walk to the village and beach. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We also loved the breakfast which had menu options as well as a buffet. Overall we had a great stay.

The hotel is far aeay and transportation is expensive the area is not good for walking

Good hotel and the staff are incredibly nice! Our room was great with a sofa and dining area as well as a small kitchen. The bed was not the most comfortable and overall I think the property is a bit outdated.
It is also situated away from the beach therefore taxi to the hustle and bustle as well as beaches is needed.
Very conveniently located to the airport though.

The place is lovely, a bit away from everything location wise and not by a beach but a lovely spot on its own. Our stay was great aside from the service - not ideal to get into a tiff around a cup that they claimed was removed from the room on our way out - turned out it was in the room and even if not, it’s a cup. Leaves a less than ideal impression.

If you like scammers and liars just come here.
They lied to our face multiple times and cheated on everything from breakfast to taxi.
Their location is awful.

The hotel is amazing, stuff is super friendly and helpful, food is delicious and fancy. The area itself is quite far from the center, and there is no walking way just a road, but it is something common in Thailand as I see. You can easily take a scooter for rent or use a taxi if you wish.

Very pleasant facility. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff.

Wonderful staff, clean and neat hotel, great rooms, nice pool area, reasonable priced. Only a little bit away from the "center" but taxi service from the hotel worked very well. Didn't want to rent scooters only for one night. Family friendly but suitable for adults as well.

We had an awesome stay at Lanna! As a young family, we found Lanna was the perfect place to stay, with them being super family friendly and with everything being in close proximity. The pool is great, with it having an adult and kids pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t recommend Lanna more and hope to be back in the future!

Long time reader first time reviewer. Let me start by saying we visited as a family, Mum, Dad and 2 kids.
I'm well aware of the youtube sensation P.D's review and subsequent interest in Lanna. I believe it is aimed at the short to mid term stays for professional singles or couples, (ie; those that like to sit by the pool with their laptops and order overpriced food). If that's you, fill your boots.
I believe the place lacks atmosphere, it's pleasing on the eye but you could invariably be in any warm climate apartment resort in the world.
The staff, despite the pleasantries are really not that interested outside of earning a dollar. Understandable to a point, but i found the customer service lacking in many areas.
As for the room, very pleasant but again could be anywhere. The bed was made of granite.
Now to the electrocution and this is where our experience will differ. However its the response that really shocked me, no pun intended. I place our charger into a socket on the second evening and got bitten, with sparks and blowing the fuse. The charger was fine and later checked by "Engineers". I reset the switchboard, notified staff and they inspected finding no fault. That's fine, but heres the kicker. Not an apology in sight asside from a whatsapp message to say, "sorry to hear that our engineers need to check." No face to face, no follow up. My arm tingled for days.
At the end of the day it's a souless joint for influencers happy to pay over the odds.

Absolutely amazing property. So gorgeous, the staff are amazing and do anything that they can to help you. Perfect for long stays and the manager/owner is lovely.

This is an out of the way type of place. It’s a 15-20 walk to get to civilization so either have your own transportation or a driver/taxi on standby

Very lovely and helpful staff, they are all friendly.
Unit is clean, small but enough for stay even more than a month.
shops are 10 minutes walk away from resort
Beach as well.

The hotel was beautiful. Staff was amazing and very helpful. A little off the from everything. But safe a clean!

Room design is great, it is very small but, it did not feel small. One of the best hotel room designs I have seen and I have seen many.
Breakfast was good, only negative thing was that waiting time was long.

Such a Wonderful Hotel with everything and more included! Food was really nice, lovely friendly staff and the pool was great! Only down side was having the pay extra for the shuttle bus to their own beach club surely if it is advertised as an amenity it should be a free shuttle bus but given it’s close proximity to the hotel we just walked. Other than that everything was perfect I would highly recommend

My spouse and I had an amazing time at Lanna. We were at first disappointed that it is not beachfront as advertised in the pictures. However, we thought the hotel wss amazingly clean, the staff is very welcoming and available. The pool is awesome to relax in. We did not eat at the restaurant as we thought it was quite pricy. We recommend using Grab to order food directly to the hotel. Fishermen’s village is also a good option only a couple of minutes away on a motorbike. We will gladly go back to Lanna if we are ever on Koh Samui again!

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The rooms are spacious, clean and of the highest quality. They are more like an apartment than a suite!
We had the best time here. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is the best I have had on my travels in Thailand and Asia for that fact. Chi club is a great little add on to the hotel as it is right on the beach. However the pool at the hotel is more than enough. They even have tennis courts! Even the housekeeping team took time to have a quick chat with you and make sure you are happy with everything. I honestly can’t pick faults with this place. It’s the only place I will stay in Koh Samui going forward now.
Honestly you won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay here.

Pure luxury and an amazing breakfast buffet. They welcomed us with cool beverages and great guidance for our stay.
The staff went above and beyond to help us.
Because of the worldwide COVID19 pandemic, our country wanted every citizen abroad to come back home. The Lanna staff helped us book new plane tickets, ferry to the mainland and packed breakfast for us because we had to leave in the middle of the night.
I can’t thank them enough.
