I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at this historic pub.
Kitchen did a fine job with food offerings for both dinner and breakfast. The staff are phenomenal in making sure your needs are met. Pack light as you will need to navigate stairs, which can be a challenge with a heavy bag.
For sure, this is on my list to return again.
Thank you Crown and Cushion!

We had a lovely stay at the Crown & Cushion. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Evening meals and breakfast were great. Our room was very comfortable, although one of the walls could do with some tlc, but in a 500+yr old building you've got to expect some wear and tear and quirks. The landing floor was wonky and floorboards above us were creaky, but if you use the earplugs provided this isn't a problem. Great location for exploring Windsor. Literally a few steps from the front door you can see Windsor Castle which is about 5mins walk away. Free parking for your stay was a plus for us too. We would definitely stay again.

loved Windsor great location handy for castle visit disappointed with room very compact thought we had booked bigger room for what we paid staff were very friendly and welcoming marked down because of the room

Ideal location to visit Windsor castle and Eaton. It's an old building with a great deal of character. The room was small with a tiny window and it could do with a bit of TLC . Restaurant bar food was tasty the service excellent. Breakfast has a limited choice and unfortunately they burned the bacon. Free parking at the rear was a big plus.

We had a wonderful stay and the staff could not do enough for our visit. The food and room were very good and clean for such a characterful old building. If you are a light sleeper ask for a lower room, as the staff live on the top floor and get up early to get the breakfast ready. You get given ear plugs and me being thick I never thought to use them. I’m quite a heavy sleeper, so although I heard the noise, it didn’t bother me or my wife.
Once again that was the only negative.
Located a short walk over the River Thames to the castle, railway station and plenty of bars and restaurants, whilst Eaton was also in walking distance.

Ideally positioned for walking into Windsor and the castle.

Stairs are difficult. No proper fire escape without going down the stairs. No chairs in the room. Floorboards creaked badly when moving about at night. Nowhere in the shower to put your soap whilst using the shower. No bedside light on one side of the bed.

Amazing brilliant accommodation. They let us in at 12pm instead of 3pm
Superb friendly

Absolute Gem of a Hotel, bed and pillows were comfortable, nice big room, absolutely fantastic Breakfast, one of the best I have enjoyed, this is a 250yr old building yet oozes character, attached to a lovely pub, some of the big brands and more expensive hotels could learn a lot from hospitality from these guys.
I will definitely stay again, the location is amazing across the road from Windsor castle, and on the Thames were there are some lovely walks, amazing staff, a Big thnak you from me my stay was a dream !

The staff members at this property are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property has a lot of personality. It is a taste of Old Britain (uneven floors and all). It is a little quirky, but that makes it interesting.
The bathroom had no countertop space, but the shower was great. The stairs are very steep, but that wasn't an issue for us.
All in all, we had a positive stay at this property.

Stayed local to Windsor Castle. This hotel is roughly a 7 min walk away.
Staff were welcoming and the hotel is full of character. A gorgeous old building

Great hotel with lovely staff, very helpful good meals. Very old historic building somewhat uneven stairs and floors due to age (several hundred years). Only complaint is completely unnecessary phone message within 15 minutes of checking out asking us to remove our car from the (virtually empty) Car park. We popped across the road to Costa coffee for a quick cuppa before leaving!

This is a lovely old pub in a brilliant location near the bridge across the Thames between Eton and Windsor, just a few minutes walk from most local attractions including Windsor Castle itself, and the lovely riverside walk. Staff are friendly and helpful, the free parking for residents is a real bonus, and their breakfasts are a great start to the day. Would definitely stay again. Also has a lovely beer garden, and was quiet during the week.

The bed was very comfortable. The building is very old and as such the floors are a bit out of level but that’s part of the charm. The staff was very accommodating and the location could not be better. We are very happy we chose to stay there.

Wonderful very old building, the rooms have been redecorated recently. Our room was immaculate. Modern feel in a properly old building with lots of character - creaky stairs and floors which may have a bit of a tilt. (When 400 years old you are, look as good you will not) Breakfast was delicious: buffet for toast, cereals and yoghurt and full English cooked to order and was one of the best tasting I’ve had. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Myself and my son had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Great location.
Would come back again.

Great location! Everything was so close. Hotel can be a bit noisy given the wood frame of the building but small trade off to being right around the corner from everything.

Much nicer to stay in Eton than in Windsor. Much quieter location. Room was spacious and clean and staff very friendly. We arrived early and were able to book as our room was ready.

We needed to stay near Windsor for the night and the Crown and Cushion was conveniently situated in Eton near the footbridge over the Thames to Windsor. Our room was to the side, quite near the High Street at the front; in the very hot weather the outdoor bar area beneath our window and passers by were a bit noisy until around midnight - though thankfully there were window shutters so we could leave the windows open. We had a large, comfortable bed, a small bathroom with a decent shower, and a good dinner and breakfast. Both Eton and Windsor were very pleasant for walking. We were able to park for free in the pub car park at the back until 10.30 the next morning and then moved our car into a public car park nearby costing £15.50 for more than 5 hours - which we thought expensive until we saw that car parks in Windsor charged up to £25.50 for the same amount of time!

Nice touch having bottled water in the room

No elevator. No air conditioning, just a fan. Extremely small bathroom. No screens on the windows so bugs enter the hotel room. Crocked circular wooden staircase makes it extremely challenging to carry luggage to your room. Reception closes at 10 pm so don't be late. No guest car parking, you have to go to a nearby outside parking lot.

THIS is THE location for a visit to Windsor. We were in walking distance to the town center and the Castle, yet we weren't in the hustle and bustle.

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Crown and Cushion. It is very well located and serves a tasty breakfast (from 8 to 9am), although we would have liked if the breakfast was available a bit later.
