Great little spot to relax with a great kitchen & bar… great vibes!

It seemed like a campsite. Checkin was at the restaurant which was kids running around screaming EVERYWHERE. Room wasn’t ready so we waited a few hours and ate. Food I will say was delicious!! It’s on the water - or lack there of. More mud and not a pretty sight. Our room was in the very back and no one offered to help with our bags. Then it was up maybe 20 stairs. Hot. Room was basic. A cat came in and wouldn’t leave the room. We stayed for 15 minutes and went to check out. Moved to another hotel which was great. Sea Flower. Right on the actual water and had an actual hotel feel to it. This camp seemed to have a certain clientele and we weren’t it. I’m not sure who gave them so many stars. Bummed I lost all my money for the entire stay but in order to not hate Ko Phangan we had to change.

This is a beautiful and very relaxing place along the water, not far from the Thong Sala pier. It's run by a wonderful couple, who were very helpful during my stay. The rooms are particularly comfortable and quiet. I slept very well. The breakfasts are excellent. I particularly recommend the French toast served with fresh fruit. They make their own breads, and they're excellent. The food is very healthy, and the resort is environmentally conscious. There's a good variety of restaurants in the town nearby. It's also close to Thai Immigration, so, if you're going to the immigration office, this would be a great place to stay. There's a pool. Not really big enough for lap swimming but great for kids. The wifi works great.

We truly loved the garden of the hotel and the pool that are maintained with great care. The restaurant served a very good quality food and had very relaxing atmosphere. The air condition in the first room we got was not working very well. Next two nights we spend in superior room with partial sea view, this room was superb and air condition was good.

Lovely and clean bungalow however it's a bit far from town and there's nothing going on there. No music or atmosphere in the evenings. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of town but would like to enjoy a few drinks it's not really an option here

Absolutely recommended. This is a gorgeous place to stay. Close enough to walk down to the markets and bars but you still feel like you are in a secluded little paradise. The pool is awesome.
Rooms are very well kept and maintained. The only issue I had was with the use of perfumes to avoid the “natural” smell the island sometimes has (to put it delicately). The room had a scented deodorizer, scented oils in the bathroom and most strongly- the bedding had a heavy fabric softener smell to it. I’d rather have the occasional whiff of unpleasantness than have the perfume smell in the room.

Great hotel for the price. Welcome drinks were great, great getaway from the full moon party. Beach and pool were nice, rooms were nice and clean. Brought free taster drinks to the pool which was great. Food was great! Good privacy in the room. Only down side is there is not much around so you stay at the hotel all day.

Very good rooms with neat and clean bathroom. A private cottage for all the guests. Resort located a walking distance from the Thong Sala Pier. However, with loads of baggage, u would still require a cab. Welcome drink served.
The location of the resort was a disappointment as it was not so beautiful as it seems to be in the photograph available online. At the same price, better resorts are available at much better location where most of the full moon parties happen(rin beach), though far from the pier. However, for people who want to be away from the loud music and want to relax, will find this an idle location.
The restaurant do not accept payment by card so you need to have sufficient cash to do your food bills.
Otherwise, the staff was very helpful and polite. A good stay overall.

During our time at Baan Manali, we truly loved everything about our stay! We stayed in room 3 for two nights & loved the proximity to town, including the night market, so extended our stay & also stayed in room 13 and both were wonderful rooms with comfy beds, mosquito nets, AC, and warm showers! Room 3 has a view of the garden, pool, and beach and both are easy to access the restaurant, free water machine, and the pool/beach. We also rented a kayak for only 100baht and had a great time kayaking to a nearby lagoon. It was great weather while we were there, so we were also able to walk, yes walk, through the water (about waist deep) and reach a small land mass near the hotel and enjoy the views, sand, shells, etc. We absolutely loved Jim at the front desk! He made sure we were well cared for and also mixed up great drinks for us at happy hour. The owners were cheerful and lovely. Overall, I’d say this is a must stay on Ko Pahngan! A short walk toward town and you can rent great motorbikes from Pai motorbike rentals as well. The owners there are very sweet and run a very respectable business. The last night it was raining and the husband was able to taxi us to our second hotel on the island. If Baan manali wasn’t sold out, we wouldn’t have stayed further away. All in all, stay here!! It’s worth it all. -Kristal & Andrew from Arizona.

The service and care was outstanding. You are just a couple minutes from the main strip of town. Enjoy the bustling day and night life in town then come home to a private serene bungalow on the beach. The sunset view from the beach is breathtaking, which can be enjoyed from the beach, pool, or restaurant. When in Koh Phangan stay at Baan Manali and you will have a fabulous time!

I love this simple hotel, it's a bit hidden from the town but not hard to find it. The best it near to beach. The room it cozy. Just less than 5 min you can walk to the 7-11, massage center. around 15 min walk to the town (not really far). Recommended to everyone to this hotel

The Baan Manali Resort is a lovely eco complex nestling in what I can only describe as reclaimed jungle on the outskirts of Phanthip Koh Pangan. The resort is basically 15 small bungalows a reception/restaurant/bar, infinity pool a beach and a sea view to die for. If you want peace and tranquility then this is the place to come. The chalets are all tastefully constructed to blend in with the surroundings, all have glass sliding doors that open onto either the garden or beachfront - which I dare say is the more expensive option. The beach is very private and the sea very inviting. If you’re feeling energetic you can hire a canoe or paddle board and take a trip round the small island a few hundred meters away - or just relax. The owners are French and the breakfasts reflect French tastes and standards. We enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to recommend this as a great place to stay. By the way; the sunsets are amazing.

After our initial check in we were allocated a bedroom with two single joint together beds (to form a king) it was apparently the only room left. Later that day the manager sorted it and we were shifted the next day to a bungalow with a real king bed. The bed was comfortable, clean and a good size. The bathroom was fully tiled and clean. We enjoyed the little sofa bed nook and the AC was strong. Pool was great and having the lagoon right there was excellent to go from one to the other. Loved the breakfasts and strong coffee served. The owner/manager and his wife are lovely people and I would recommend Baan Manili highly

Cheap and cheerful compared to other hotels we stayed in. The rooms were a good size and were clean.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.
If you can, try and request a bungalow that is overlooking the beach as oppose to a garden view as it's a bit nicer.
The shower was poor which often struggled to keep temperature and pressure.
The bed was really hard.
The WIFI was extremely poor.
Overall it was an okay hotel for a short stay. I would stay here again as it was good value for what we paid for the length of time.

Only thing good is hotel is near the town.
My room... 3rd row small bungalow. Yeah, its cheaper, but it's far behind other rooms. So dark during the night as there is no light along the path.
The hotel is hard to find with only a small sign and the rocky roads. It's very dark at night.
Terrible low water pressure for the shower, and reception was close and no assistant could be get.
The basin in the kitchen was clog.
There are still some hairs on the bed when checked in.
The beach is awful (expected) and the swimming pool is small, seems everyone is using the pool to wash and soak their feet only.

The location is fantastic. Very easy to access all of the locations on the west coast due to its central location which is walking distance from the ferry terminal. Despite its close proximity it has its own beach access in a very quiet and relaxed location. The rooms are comfortable and well priced. Staff and owners in particular are fantastic. Restaurant provided outstanding food. Overall great value accommodation.
