Smooth airport transport. thanks a lot

This small hotel is off the beaten path. The rooms are basic but clean and have everything that we needed.
We arrived late at night and no housekeeping came the next day.
Pool and beach were wonderful as was the breakfast that we had. Great coffee.

Such a gem in Dar-es-Salam. Restaurant with many options a nice place to chill and telax.

The location and ambience of the hotel are superb. I greatly enjoy listening to and watching the waves crash against the rocks under the restaurant in the morning and evening. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good. The service this time was not as on point as before (staff seem very young and distracted), but was still average in their response to my few needs. I'll be back.

In a way the hotel is ok, beautiful garden, beautiful view, cozy restaurant and the staff was kind and friendly, so far so good but the room could be cleaner, food could be better, music from the neighbor ( hotel/cafe/whatever, not sure what it was ) every and hole evening/night ???? ok for me, i have teenage children at home so i am use to noisy behavior, but i can easily imagine that some people will find it very irritating when they finally take some vacation but again, ok for me i could live with that which means i have no problem sleeping. But close the swimming pool for four days without announcing it ! my god there was an angry couple and i still feel so sad for the young lady at the reception who did her best to explain why it was necessary, there should be a manager or somebody in that category taken care of episode like that, very very unprofessional, poor girl it just wasn`t fair at all. Again ok hotel but not totally impressed

Excellent hotel! Good view, quiet and cozy. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy but worth it.

We had a wonderful short stay at this property! We wish we could have stayes longer. The property was stunning! So beautiful and peaceful! The staff were so friendly. The rooms were beautiful and we loved the porch outside each room! The pool was wonderful. We had lunch by the pool, which was delicious! Dinner was delicious and so beautifully decorated with phenomenal live music. Breakfast was also lovely before we headed to the airport. We would definitely recommended this hotel and stay here again! We wish we could havw stayed longer. Thank you to all of the staff!.

Inotially going to the property, the scenery was same as main road, once we got on the property and is beautiful. If you did not know where you were, you would have thought you were at a world class 4-star hotel. Staff is great and helped us with our wedding reception. Awesome by the Indian Ocean.

The staff are excellent, with very good English skills. The individual room veranda seating is very nice, and public views of the ocean are excellent. Mosquitoes are a major problem, so have some repellant. Prices at the restaurant are steeper than at similar hotels around Dar, but the food is excellent.

Perfect stay at a super nice location

This was a great change of pace in my long journey on the continent. Also I had stayed at a local resort for a few days and needed to get a new booking and Mediterraneo was perfect. It was quiet, and boutique, and great views. I wish I had more time to just sit around the place, but I had to work. Check in was easy, and even when there were glitches with my reservation people were so helpful and kind. The food was wonderful. The ambiance was what made it just what I needed to recover from high stress travel. If I return to Dakar, I will return here for sure. Solo travel or with friends.

It was a beautiful hotel. My girl friend was so excited to stay there. I wi definitely be going back.

The plants are great and all over. The staff very nice and very assisting

Impressive environment. The grounds were maintained meticulously. The service courteous!

I've been multiple time but this hotel is going a bit downhill.
We stayed for few days, the rooms was not clean and the A/C was barely working and I needed to rely on the fan. After the first night no hot water in the room.

Just a fantastic hotel in every way!! We’re going back.

This is a peaceful and lovely place to spend time at.
Some minor little niggles here and there, but they don't deter from the fact that this hotel is a lovely place.
Well worth a try.

Nice place ..only need un-Salt water at bathrooms …they would treat the water from salty waters to normal one

I had an amazing stay, the hotel was in an ideal location next to the beach. The staff were very, professional friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and welcoming. I felt very safe and at home. The staff went out on their way to provide me with any assistance that i needed. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel to stay during at trip to Dar es Salaam.

Mediterraneo continues to be a wonderful retreat outside of crazy Dar. The sounds of the ocean coming in for high tides much more of the afternoon is great

A taxi from the bus station or airport is 24,000 TSH. If you order a taxi from this hotel, it will take more than 30 minutes and will be 70,000 TSH. It’s really unfortunate that they exploit their guests like this. The food and drinks are the restaurant are way overpriced. After traveling Africa for 10 months, this was the most I spent of food and drinks and they were by far some of the worst I’ve had. The staff are slow and not attentive. The hot water does not work and the air conditioning only works if you’re lucky when you’re in the room.
There are much better places to stay for the price.
They exploit travelers and charge them $35 for a 20 minute taxi ride? Disgusting.

The Hotel was right on the water of the Indian Ocean! The restaurant had great food. The swimming pool was refreshing, but the fact that it closed at 6:00 pm nightly was disappointing. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only place with A/C is your room. Would be nice if part of the restaurant had A/C.

A Beautiful place to relax

Always a pleasure to stay here, even if you are working downtown, it's worth the extra drive! Staff great, but most of all it feels like a holiday even if it isn't. Wifi also pretty good, was strong enough to take calls etc. Just remember to plan ahead for the traffic when heading downtown or to the airport!

The room was very good and the service excellent. (Kudos to Mwana & Edward.) It would have been good to have more choices on TV. Our room was near reception and the WIFI was excellent. Breakfast choices were good considering being a small hotel. Kawe Beach is not the most appealing. I have seen that the closer the beach is to downtown, the less appealing it becomes. The pool water also appeared dirty but perhaps it was due to the brown slate stone in the pool bottom. Overall, a positive experience.
