Really friendly staff, and a good price and location! However it was a walk-up which was tough with my big suitcase to the 4th floor. It’s also not the most comfortable, very hot inside.

We stayed for 5 nights. The location is really good. However we stayed in the deluxe studio 5 people. And it is not deluxe. It was okay and I guess you get what you pay for. B
The beddings seemed old and some had holes and stains on.
The kitchen was really bad regarding equipment, there were for example only a 1 wineglass, 1 champagneglass and three beer glasses, no “normal” glass! So we had to buy some since we were 5 people staying there. We asked for some, but they just told us they all were broken!

Super cute rooms!

I loved the accessibility of the subway to the hotel, as well as different food options. This was my first time to NYC and this property was the perfect place to stay!

Great place love the location super friendly staff and good rooms. Only annoyance was the aircon unit which was right behind our head on the bed and it would like an airplane taking off… but I would happily stay again.

The staff worked with me and made my stay great. It’s nice to stay in the heart of the action!

The hotel was very much in need of repair. The beds are AWFUL. The room was "clean" But everything is so old and warn you couldn't get it clean. The staff were friendly but didn't know any more about the area than we did. There was no phone to call the front desk so I called with my cell phone, no answer several times. So had to walk down to ask questions. We wanted to stay in a "hip" place to be close to the cruise port. The area was nice but the hotel was just so uncomfortable and on bed of repair I would never go back.

Room was exceptionally clean. We love the double sinks in the bathroom. It was a great surprise to have two separate rooms for each bed. I assumed it would be one room with two beds in it but it was two separate rooms with a bed in each. That made it nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful and made sure we were happy. Would definitely go there again.

We loved our stay! Very clean, comfy bed and linens. Very clean..The front desk is very helpful… Great location with a short walk to the Highline, Chelsea Market and Pier 57 with great views of ground zero and The Edge. We highly recommendation staying here!

great location if you don't mind a walkup

No elevator, but staffs are very friendly and can help with the luggages (free). The rooms are randomly assigned. Rooms near the street are still a bit noisy.

Really friendly staff at Chelsea Pines Inn. Clean, comfortable room - average size by NYC standards but that means not cramped. WiFi signal good. Killer location in the heart of Chelsea; 1/2 block to the subway. Nice backyard garden with plenty of seating.
Lacks some of the amenities I'd usually prefer (gym, pool, restaurant) and there's no elevator but if you can manage stairs it's a great price for a safe comfortable NYC hotel. Would stay there again.

Very friendly staff, good location, very cool and unique room.

It is a very simple hotel. The single room has just enough space, a TV, a small desk, a comfortable bed and a small bathroom, totally renovated with a good shower. You don’t want to spend time in your bedroom but it has all you need to get some rest at the end of the day. Staff is very helpful and location is great if you want to explore the High Line, the Whitney Museum and the Chelsea Market (all one block from the hotel). There is a subway station at the corner to reach everything else.

Basic, small, cute, clean, historic but well kept up. Good neighborhood: feels safe, with lots of restaurants. Low traffic street. Close to subway. Friendly, helpful staff. Narrow stairs, no elevator. Good value.

Pretty convenient place in Chelsea.
A lot of transportation options around, restaurants, pharmacies and famous neighborhoods from a short commute or walk.
Staff was very friendly, room was good, but be careful if you got a front street room, street noise can get pretty loud, even in late hours.
Room was cleaned daily, and they had coffee and tea in the common areas on the lobby.
Overall a good place to stay, recommended.

The hotel is a walk up so no elevator, this can be a little annoying if you’re on top floors but the location is top notch, staff are friendly, amenities are nice, and everything is very awesome. I would say not to go here in the summer though because there’s no working AC

My college-aged niece and I I spent four days at the Chelsea Pines Inn, and we had a great time. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Our room was small, but it had one double and one single bed, a shower, and a toilet, so everything we needed. It’s not a luxury place but it’s funky and I liked it.
it has five floors and no elevator so that might be an issue for some. The hotel tells you that before you book though, so it wasn’t an issue for us, even though we were on the fourth floor. The Chelsea location is excellent as well, and for Central New York City, it’s very affordable. We took the subway everywhere and it’s about 30 seconds frim the hotel.

Loved this place. It has its quirks & feels a little run down... but it also captures the charm of Chelsea, is filled with character, and I found it incredibly cozy & functional: the bed was really comfortable, shower was great, staff were very welcoming. A great home base for exploring Chelsea & anything nearby! Also the street is well-lit & busy... I arrived at 11:30 pm and wasn't worried at all.

Great breakfast, wonderful staff.

Very bare bones room on floor 5 of a walk up. Both TV’s did not work. Room was very small. On the plus side, convenient location in Chelsea area of NYC.

amazing apartment that was very spacious with excellent kitchen and dressing room. Huge shower. very private. Easy location to get to everything with subway at the end of the street. Felt safe. Nice happy helpful staff without exception. Four adults stayed very comfortably without feeling crowded. Did not feel like an anonymous hotel all and was an oasis of calm after sightseeing. Good choice at continental breakfast even for 3 vegans which was better than expected. Spotlessly clean.

It's not very quiet and the building doesn't have an elevator, but the room was cozy and the staff very nice.

It was a happy experience, finding this hotel pre-trip, and staying at the hotel during my time in Manhattan. Everything was perfect and upon return(s) to Manhattan, this will be where I will stay.

I love this property so much! It is quiet and convenient to the L train and ACE train. There are great places within walking distance to eat. I have stayed here multiple times. This isn’t an overly fancy place but it will meet all your needs. If you need a safe, quiet and comfortable place to rest and sleep, this is your spot.

Friendly people, quick and smooth check in process, the room is very clean and well furnished. Many unexpected treats as well and charming decorations.

The mattress feels like one of those inflatable, you sink in it, couldn’t sleep at all, the kind of mattress that you find in a furniture store that same beds and the mattress is a dummy mattress, that’s is what they have in the beds. Couldn’t stay there for the 4 days that I booked, found other hotel with a decent bed.of course because the reservation was not refundable it was my lost.
The room didn’t have a thermostat, I got super hot and the only way to cool it off was opening the window, closing when it got cold and open it again when it was too hot. Very bad. Pay the extra $50 and stay some place else.
The only good thing was the location and the lady at front desk DJ, she was nice.

Was in the city to visit my son. This was close to his apartment in West Village, clean and friendly staff!

Convenient location to an event we were attending, and the staff at front desk were really nice and welcoming. Clean, comfortable beds and a decent sized bathroom. Basic in amenities, but really just what we needed for a quick trip to the city. Enjoy the neighborhood. Would stay again.
