Loved our stay. The crepes at breakfast were excellent. Ever get a hug from a hotel owner upon departure? Well I did !

Though we were the only English speakers in residence the owner was bilingual enough to communicate. Very quaint place in rural area. Breakfast made daily by owner and it was a treat. Definitely would go back.

I contacted the host for canceling my booking, never responded….No refund….
The house is so old and lost in the middle of nowhere

This bed and breakfast is so quaint! There is a very peaceful feel about it and the breakfasts are great. The cats and Margo the dog are a great addition to the feel of the place

The owner of the property said that she never received any booking request from expedia. So late in the night, we, a family with a 5 year old and a 66 year old were left stranded. After over 2 hours of frantic calling and hunting for hotels in 2 different towns, almost giving up, we luckily got a room in a much expensive hotel after midnight.
I want not only a refund, but also compensation for the extra stress and unsafe conditions from expedia.
What's the point of receiving an email with wordings such as "you don't have to call the hotel to confirm your booking" when the hotel owner says she never received any booking request.
What's the point of being an Expedia "member" when there is not even a phone number to reach a call center employee?
Really horrific experience.

Having all the animals around was good, the hosts were over the top with helpfulness

We had heating (baseboard) problems when we arrived, we had to fix the problem ourselves which was not planned in our stay at this hotel. The cats go in the bedroom despite of what is written in the host room description. No smoke detectors are present on the first storey. You cannot lock your room from the outside so anybody can enter your room which is a additional stress when you try to relax.

We had a lovely stay. The house is old but charming and our hosts were friendly and patient with our efforts to speak any French at all. Margo, the resident dog, accompanied us on a lovely walk to see the old covered bridge. Breakfast was delicious!

They do not accept babies.
Very rude clerk, no place for accomodation.
We had to book another location.
We were still fine for the room at 100% without us knowing.

Excellent breakfast of crepes and good coffee. Quiet and pretty location just 10 minutes from Baie St. Paul. Helpful host gave us tips on other places to stay and restaurants to try.

Much overrated accomodation except for the quality of the breakfast which was excellent. Don't get fooled by the photo. The reality is a far cry from what is advertised. If you don't mind the overwhelming smell of cat's litter in your room, along with the single ceiling light switch located outside the room (yes) and connected to the ceiling fan, and if you don't mind driving eleven kilometers out of town in the middle of nowhere in the back country to get to the premises, an owner too busy in his garage to greet you when you arrive, well go for it. But definitely not our cup of thea!

Very comfortable and charming. Dakota was a delight, serving breakfast a half hour early to make sure we didn’t miss out when we had to check out at an early hour. And oh were the crepes worth it! The auberge seemed kind of far off the beaten path at first but was really only ten minutes outside Baie Saint-Paul. Baie-Saint-Paul was much more of a scene than we’d expected- wish we’d allowed more time for it! I would definitely stay here again

This B&B does not provide enough toilets and shower facilities for the number of guests they host. Lineups to use the bathrooms in the middle of the night and too long a wait to use the shower which we gave up eventually. There is no air conditioning in the place, only one little window for some air to enter. They provide a fan to circulate the air. Breakfast was somewhat decent, very little choice of proteins, mostly carbs.
I was dumbfounded when the owner asked for a tip when I settled my bill.

Auberge Carpe Diem is a nice place. The couple running it are very nice and the breakfast was very good.
If you have any cat allergies, do not stay here as there as numerous cats in the Auberge.
Also, our room was one of three that shared a bathroom, so something to think about.

Super old but very well kept home in B n B style. Quiet, clean and comfortable. A little off the beaten track but for a romantic getaway, its perfect. Elegantly decorated with period pieces and run by a very nice couple. If you are skiing at Massif, this is one of the closest motels to the slopes. There are 2 small towns within the same the same distance to massif as Carpe Diem with many motels but I am certain that none of them have the charm and feel of this one. Morning breakfast come with a nights stay and it was prepared with care and served individually for each guest. VERY impressed. One heads up to consider. If you are allergic to Cats or do not like cats, Carpe Diem may not be for you. There are many cats around but despite that, the hotel is very clean and the cats well groomed and well mannered. Highly recommended, especially for couples.

It´s a beautiful house with amazing rooms. Clean and friendly. Tasty crêpe variations for breakfast. Parking lot in front of the house available.

Stayed at the Carpe Diem while skiing Le Massif (15-20 min away). Catherine's breakfast crepes were amazing and Stéphane was a great host. Would definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights during our ski trip to the Massif de Charlevoix. The auberge was simple & cozy, the room was very clean, comfortable and spacious (2 Queen beds and private bathroom). Wifi worked great. The owners are very nice and accomodated us with earlier breakfast so we could get to the hill for opening time. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed a very nice gourmet dinner during our stay. Its bit out of the way, roughly 25 min. from Baie St-Paul but its a very easy drive to the hill (which is what we wanted). It is surely a picturesque area in all seasons and the charm of this Auberge will definitely please those who are looking for a quiet getaway.
