This hotel and the women who worked at the front desk were amazing! The room was absolutely enormous and so cozy and clean. I spent the morning doing a beach cleanup in absolutely horrid weather… Strong wind, rain, and freezing cold. When I got to the hotel, I took a hot bath and the tub was so deep and it was just perfect! I was able to unwind to the fullest before heading back out for the evening. It is also pet friendly and they offered me a dog bed at check in! I didn’t need one but it was a nice perk.
I do suggest that if you’re sensitive to sounds, bring ear plugs. The sea lions will sing you a song in the morning. That being said, they do make a point of letting you know that sound travels easily and to be considerate of neighbours / quiet time. Although the room next to me had a family and two dogs, and I didn’t hear them much at all!
The hotel is within walking distance from quite a few local businesses and has nice views from the balcony.
I will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Ukee.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious

We only stayed one night but everything was great

Comfortable beds in a spacious suite with balcony. Great views over inlet, marina and mountains. Helpful front desk staff.
Walls a bit thin, so noisy neighbours can be a problem. However, front desk helped by enforcing the noise policy so all quiet when needing to sleep.
Wouls love to stay again.

not convenient for getting luggage to our room

We were very happy with our stay. The reception staff were outstanding. Shan was amazing.
As there wasn’t any eating options on-site, the staff pointed out places to eat and we even got an upgraded suite to a Loft.
It was lower season, and we didn’t need it, but what a nice touch by the management.
I would highly recommend staying here. Outstanding. Way better to stay in Ucluelet than Tofino.

Great room for a group and close to everything in Ucluelet. Accommodating staff and altogether a pleasant stay.

I took the “executive suite “ as it was advertised as good for families with children. Most certainly NOT!!!!! The stair case is only partially enclosed… when you get to the top there is a half wall with a 10 foit drop onto a staircase. In addition there is NO soundproofing between the rooms. The people next door and us had small children/baby… we did not sleep at all as we could hear everything! The baby was not overly loud… neither were we but you might as well have been sharing the same room! Two night of this and I am exhausted! I brought this up to management and as if this time… no compensation offered! Ver nice and respectful receptionist…beautiful view of the Marina.

The staff were fantastic and super accommodating. We had a large suite with view of harbour which we enjoyed, especially the wildlife such as birds, harbour seals & deer we saw during our short stay.

We booked a second night after arriving for the first night and was told that the rate had almost doubled, from Thurs to Friday night. This seemed excessive.
No room cleaning for the second and expensive day.
Location is central and in the harbour which is quiet and quaint.
The hotel layout is spread out to 3 buildings connected by wooden boardwalks and pathways which could be difficult for persons with mobility difficulties.
Coffee and kettle provided. The room was big and comfortable.
There is a communal kitchen for guests to prepare their own meals while staying.
Overall a good stay but a bit bare bones for the price.

Not impressed for the money per night. No cleaning service, mold around sink, ice and vending machines broken. Overall a let down.

My sister-in-law was visiting us from SanFrancisco and we wanted to take her to Ucluelet for a westcoast experience. We made reservations at the Canadian Princess Lodge for 2 nights. Upon entering our room we noticed a very strong cleaner or chemical scent so we opened the windows and cracked open the door. The smell got stronger and we all developed headaches. We could even taste it. It was awful! Finally I went to the office and they found us another room. In the morning we still had headaches from the previous day, but we decided to try to make the best of it and went out for a drive. We didn’t get better so we decided to just go home a day early. We were not credited anything for our inconveniences. This is the worse time I have ever had at a hotel or motel.

Spacious room and comfy bed! It is an older building but well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly.

There are limited options for hotels in Uklulet in the summer. This seemed like one of the best and the price was very high $600 per night. The hotel was 2 star quality at best. Rooms were tired and in need of a deep clean. The toilet seat didnt fit the toilet. Caulking in bathroom was dirty and peeling. Bathroom door cracked. Whole hotel felt worn and dingy. It was certainly not anywhere near worthy of $600 a night.

What a wonderful little place. Staff were absolutely amazing, could not hear any other rooms, beautiful views right on the water, shared kitchen area perfect for a family BBQ. Just everything about it was perfect. Thanks to all the staff

Old carpets, Why you wouldn’t put laminate in a place which is constantly damp I don’t know. Mirrors were streaky. Blood on one of the duvets.

We couldn’t find any other accommodations, due to busy holiday weekend. this place had one very large room available. It was overpriced, I wouldn’t have booked it otherwise but my fault for waiting till last minute.Clean enough but they definitely need to give the place an update.

Absolutely loved the loft area. Wished we could have had a window that opened and faced the bay, but I guess not every window can face the bay:) Beautiful hotel, beautiful location, beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Overall an excellent experience.

A perfectly adequate place, but not worth the price, and the "resort office" sign should be changed - this isn't a resort. Instead, it was a motel experience with resort pricing. The coffee cups in our room were chipped, and the communal kitchen was shabby and lacked an electric kettle and a complete set of dishes (no bowls, lots of plates).
The beds were comfortable, and the area was quite quiet at night. We had a view of a tidal mud flat.

The staff were friendly, The hotel was clean. The room was spacious however the layout was a bit odd.

Great location & property. We had 4 people in one of the larger rooms so making sure there are enough cups & towels for that number of people would be an added benefit.

Hotel was very nice, arrived at the property and the receptionist told us are room was upgraded. The stay was amazing very clean. Parking on the top lot was a bit of a mess with all the boat trailers but other than that I would stay here again!!
4.0
The rooms had no air conditioning and did not have a phone to contact the front desk. They provided a QR code in the room which routed you to WhatsApp in order to contact the front desk. The room was decent, beds were alright. The tv however was comparable to a computer monitor, very small.Gravel on the stairs to reach the rooms seemed unsafe, especially when carrying bags.
