Close to boardwalk. We have a larger van style vehicle so it was much better for us to use the large lot. Overflow parking lot was close and monitored. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I never complain about places or leave bad reviews but this place was terrible. We paid $600 and left early and didn’t even stay the second night because it was so bad. It was grungy, smelly and I didn’t feel good about hanging out in there. It served its purpose I guess but we won’t ever be staying there again.

Contacted the hotel prior to the stay via hotels.com messenger and they answered my questions that I had. People there were very friendly and polite. We arrived early, was able to get parking as well as get into our rooms early. My initial concern for a lack of parking based off pictures was resolved as they said they had an overflow lot. Parking is tight, but that is the case with all hotel parking in OCNJ. It is conveniently located by Augies Waffles/Omelette that we frequent for breakfast and is a great spot. Found out we get 10% off at Augies for staying here. Room was a nice size, spacious. It had 2 beds that were both of different softness that worked in my favor. Our room had 2 mini fridges, that was nice if we had more stuff, but was not needed. Bathroom was up to date. Room itself you could tell they tried bringing it up to date, but the ceiling/walls are original but painted. The downside of this room that we had was the floors. Floors are obviously newer style laminate or vinyl floors. The floors were buckling upwards as if it had flooded at 1 point and never replaced. Weather stripping around door could be added to keep the cool dry air in and the warm humid air out. I also would have preferred an additional interior door locking device instead of just the knob lock. Overall, the stay was great. It served as a home base for us while in OCNJ. It is close to the boardwalk and other spots.

I realize the motel is old, but the rooms need alot of upgrading and attention, especially for the price they charge. The room did not match the online photos at all. We also had an issue with bugs, there were several slugs crawling up the wall the air conditioner was on.

Very nice, friendly, helpful staff, but room was pretty rough. Beds are old, lumpy and very squeaky. Walls are thin and had to listen to a kid (not a baby) screaming until midnight. Old school OC kitsch is funny at first, location is good but might look elsewhere next time.

The C sands was very clean and well kept. Newly renovated space makes you feel comfortable. The staff was always around making sure everything was up to snuff. Quiet at night and friendly during the day. What more could you ask for. Except a pool. Haa haa

Beds were not very comfortable. Anytime you moved, you could wake up the people across the street. Felt like we were “roughing it” for the two nights we stayed there. On site parking was very tight but they do have off-site parking. Liked that they give you beach access tags. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again for a night or two.

Management and staff were extremely accommodating and happy to help. Motel was cute and retro. Rooms were spacious and very clean. It is apparent that renovations have been done and rooms were great for what we needed. Only complaint was the loud window air conditioning....but at least there was air conditioning! The motel was super close to boardwalk, beach, and plenty of restaurants! Would stay again!

Wonderful trip and great stay at the motel. Very clean room and great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. If you have a large vehicle, there is overflow parking around the corner. The front lot is tight for large vehicles.

It was the best place that I have stayed at out of all the times I have stayed at the beach, it’s clean, quiet and well taken care of … the only suggestion that I would have is that it is a little out dated, maybe a few renovations could attract more to the eyes walking by but that is nothing compared to the dirty motels near by … it doesn’t look like people are living there, and by far is not in comparison to the motels that look like a drug house … I would recommend this place to my family and friends. NOTE : it’s very close to the boardwalk and beach … many place say close to the beach and then you walk many blocks to the beach … they are true to their word about where they are located … no it’s not on the boardwalk but it’s only one block away … pictures online are true, what you see is what you get.

We booked through Expedia and weren't told about the 60.00 pet fee so we had to pay this upon arrival. It's a 2 star hotel so given this fact, it was okay. Wouldn't book again but I prefer 3 star and higher. For a 2 star it was clean enough and adequate. Location is great. Balcony off our room was an added bonus.

Since this place was the least expensive place we could find on the Jersey Shore, we didn't expect much. However, we were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. The room stayed the temperature that we set it to, and the shower was warm with great water pressure. The room was small but was plenty of space for a couple with their pet. I did not feel like the photos misled us about the room size like most other hotels. The staff were incredibly friendly and willing to assist me with anything I needed. I even forgot my earbuds at the hotel and they mailed them back for me! The only issues I had were the lack of privacy when you have the drapes open and the large gap that was at the bottom of the front door. I would definitely recommend the Coral Sands Motel for anyone looking to stay within walking distance of the Jersey Shore without breaking the bank.

The room was clean, not too noisy, tv box was kinda hanging off the wall and beds were very stiff but maybe some people like that. Very close to the beach which was nice. Front desk was super nice and helpful even offered to let us borrow beach towels which most places would charge for.

The location is great, but that's about it. The room had a weird smell, the place is just down right old, and the walls are paper thin. I could hear the TV coming through on one side, and guests screaming at each other on the other side.

The room was spacious! The floor was dirty and the wood flooring was sticking up all over. The only window in the room was frosted, so the only way to look out the window, was to open it. Parking was limited in the motel parking lot and the parking spaces were tight! There was additional parking off of the side street near the motel. The young man who checked me in was very polite and he warned me about the flooring sticking up. We had two queen beds, but one of them had a mattress that you could feel the springs when you either sat on it or laid on it. There were two refrigerators in the room. It was about a two and a half block walk to the boardwalk. The bathroom was about he size of a closet! (Very small)

Check in was easy and awesome. Property Manager Jeanie is GRRRRRREAT!!! Gave me a first floor room because I had knee replacement -101. Parking can be a challenge but there is an overflow parking area close by. They allowed our dog to stay. Everything is fresh and clean inside. New flooring and bathroom. I would stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

Short walk to boardwalk was great. Staff person was very friendly and accommodating. Only dislike was walls are thin, loud group somewhere in the vicinity, but it was a short length of time an to be fair it was pretty early for a Saturday night in OC. We had to go to bed early to get up at 4am for the MS bike ride, hopefully we didn't disturb anyone at that time! :)
