Was staying overnight before a cruise. Have stayed before and will again. Clean and in a good location. We usually try and get a beach view.

High cost to value ratio. It’s ok, but price is too high.

Had an awesome time staying at this cute hotel. Very convenient location with comfy beds, staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and met our needs for our overnight stay.

Confusion in the lobby. But good friendly service.

The pics do not reflect the hotel at all, this is a very run down hotel it’s very old and it’s visible, staff in friendly but it needs tremendous upgrades not worth the price at all. Breakfast felt like being in jail at a food line at least that’s how I imagine it.

We went for our 21st anniversary. It was a great experience from check in to check out. Always loved Gaidos and we will be back! Great for adults and families with little ones.

There is a lot of potential, but a lot of work needs to be done.

Clean room, great service from front desk. Also a great location as it is close to several restaurants.

Across the road from the beach. And it had a wonderful swimming pool!

Place is falling apart. Touted as a 3 star hotel but in reality it is 1 star hotel.

Stayed 2 nights. This hotel need an update, the photos on the site are very deceiving, had a slight view of the ocean, aircon was very noisy and went on and off, room was noisy due to being right next to pool which had something running all night, was squawking all night too from birds/bats, the pool carpet ran along outside the hotel doors and was sopping wet all the way along, so smelt musty as probably never been dry. Got up for breakfast on first day, but didn't have anything was limited says full breakfast but more like continental and to be honest didn't look that great. Was a nice bar/ eatery next door called Nicks. You could still towards the pier abs their was a few eataries along here, brick house very good.

Room was nice.
They closed the pool day after we arrived, for the whole week.

The hotel is very well maintained, the breakfast is excellent, the pool is super clean... My only complaint was that the cleaning staff entered my room before 11, I had not returned my key, and they threw away the food I had in the refrigerator for which I had paid a high price and was planning to enjoy it for my lunch. In the confusion and because I was angry, I left my cell phone cable...When I reported it to the front desk I just got a look that said I don't care.

The staff were awesome! The room was very clean and comfortable. Pool was fantastic after and before a hot day in the sun. Definitely my choice whenever I visit Galveston.

Generally the place was nice, and clean. However, it smelled like mildew and the carpets felt wet. Having carpets in such location is not a great idea, it will never get dry especially that the AC unit is located in a niche of the room.

Person that checked us in was welcoming.
The person that checked us out never said a word, never asked how our stay was, was everything good, did we enjoy our stay? I was going to tell her about 2 issues in the room but since she didn’t care, why should I?
3.0
The room is crowded, the door was hard to open every time. The beds were uncomfortable. The air conditioner didn’t cool enough to sleep comfortably. The towels were rough on the skin and the shower had a constant drip. The tub was stained and the hot water was scolding. The shower head hardly worked. Won’t stay there again.

Right across the street from the beach, nice pool and courtyard area. Staff were friendly and upgraded us to beachfront room when our room want ready when we arrived. The free breakfast was better than expected, and plenty of restaurants within walking. The property itself is a little run-down, but we had a very pleasant stay.

The beach is across the street. The building is not impressive from the outside but room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The coffee maker was stuffed with a rotten coffee pouch which should be checked by the housekeeper at the time of service.

The place is showing its age, but it is convenient, and
clean and great restaurants within walking distance, not to mention the beachfront rooms. I would stay there again!

Very clean and nice hotel

**DIRTY & DISGUSTING** Do not believe the reviews. There were roaches in our ice bucket, poop stains in the toilet and the bathtub was dirty. The air conditioner had car air fresheners stuck to the grate, so the room stunk. The bathroom doorknob also looked like someone had been held captive there. We left immediately and checked in somewhere else, even losing the cost of our 2-night stay.

We went as a 2day last minute getaway...was affordable, safe, clean,....only downside..the bar at the pool area closed before 9pm n we thought that was a little early...other than that ..we definitely recommend n wewill be staying again..

The ac had obvious mold in it the fridge was rust ed the beds were way to high off floor they were st least 3ft off floor very hard to get into.
The property out front looked better than the area where room are and parking was horrible.
