The place was beautiful. A bit short on the cleanliness but ok. It’s a really old building and its history shows but the rooms are updated and nice. The breakfast was nice as well. I stayed an extra night and didn’t have to move rooms. That was a plus and nice of them to accommodate. It is very close to Wellness Center. I will be back.

When we book the hotel, we were excited to experience and explore the areas because of the hotel structure & history, the surrounding areas, and its close proximity to Maastricht. The hotel is a 4 star and I guess are expectations are high. As we book the rooms via Hotel.coms, we were given a Basement Room, which was okay on size and decor, however, the rooms were too cold even without Aircon, the toilet was not part of the shower but designed in an enclosed built in type, that one who is claustrophobic would not like to use. The service was not that particularly good, missing towels, toilets paper and etc. Overall the experience was not that pleasant for my family and would probably prefer to find other hotel nearby Maastricht.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are nice and space. Breakfast is very good. The service could be better. We came to check in quite late and there was no one there. We had to wait for a long time for someone to come. Then I had some questions but when I would call the reception no one would pick it up.

The hotel is very interesting, located in the building of an old coal mine. The renovation is very well done, and the room comfortable. Breakfast was not the highlight - not many choices for people with allergies or vegan, also very crowded space with lots of queueing. Restaurant is very good, with very friendly service. At the same time, reception experience is not at the level expected for a 4-star hotel. Location of the hotel is great - between hiking routes of the national park and the shopping outlet.

Hotel prachtig gelegen tussen Maasmechelen Village en Connectera natuurpark. Alles kan te voet. Goeie bedden en gratis parking. Heerlijk ontbijt.

The hotel has an amazing garden and the public areas are very well-decorated. The room however didn’t feel very luxurious. It was clean and spacious but the decoration wasn’t as nice as the public areas. Great location for nature and shopping.

The hotel is as grand in real life as it looks on the pictures. Very stylish exterior and hallways that ooze history but are in great condition. We had the more spacious superior room, but other than the higher ceilings and windows and a few more square meters, I don't think there's a huge difference over their standard comfort rooms. And that's good, because our room was great. Great stylish interior, well maintained, a practical bathroom, a great bed and plenty of storage space. The only thing to pick on were the pillows; way too small and soft.
While on the topic of things to improve; for a hotel this size, I would have expected a gym and I was quite disappointed they had none. The hotel is connected to a wellness centre, but it's a separate business. It's also quite hard to work out how to get to reception when you arrive late like we did. There's poor signage other than warning you not to park anywhere and with only a single person manning the bar, phones and reception, we struggled to get in and get served. There is free parking outside the hotel as well as secure parking at the hotel.
There are lots of things in the area to explore as well as a shopping village and restaurants right next door. Which is good, because if you only want simple breakfast you probably don't want to dish out Eur 25 per person for breakfast at the hotel.
All in all we had a great stay. This hotel is close to being the best one in the area, provided they address some of the points above.

The property was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were all so very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and well worth the 25 Euros. Such a beautiful property. Comfortable rooms which were beautifully styled and perfectly adequate. I would absolutely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay in Terhills. For me, it was even better than my stays in other famous hotel chains. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and check-in/out were quick and easy. I specially enjoyed the room furnishing.

We only stayed the night and unfortunately had to get up really early :( however, from the moment we walked in to when we left the 2 receptionists were really friendly and helpful! The rooms have very high ceilings and give onto the main entrance/garden which was stunning :) the nearby area was also very peaceful. I would definitely recommend this hotel :) xx
