Highly over-priced buffet for a very poor selection and mediocre quality. Very disappointed. The room was fine with a nice view.

The hotel was close to the airport, the room was clean and the staff good. The hotel looks like it was built in the 1960's with no updates. The structure is tired and in desperate need of modern updating.

A disappointing hotel. The place had a musky odour, the towels smelled used, the breakfast was very limited and lacked flavour.

My stay at the Hotel Fleur D’épée was marvellous. The reception staff as well as the dining and cleaning staff were professional, courteous and polite. I made the right choice to sta at this hotel. I was ver pleased with the staff in general. I will return to Guadeloupe and I will stay again at the Hotel Fleur d’épée. Kudos to you all . Thank you

There are cats in the hotel and mold in the downstairs bathroom

We wait 1h after the check in because the room was not ready but the worst part was the staff that didn’t care to let us know when the room was ready. Also the parking lot is a mess, there is not control so the guest doesn’t have places available

We chose this hotel for a one-night stay primarily for its easy proximity to the airport to fly home the next day. The staff were all great and very accommodating to my limited French.
The property itself is tired and in need of complete renovation... particularly the guest rooms. The mildew smell from the air conditioning in our room was overwhelming.
This could be a great venue if the owners invested in the infrastructure.

There are very few sunshades around the pool, otherwise the pool area is fine. The beach is covered in something like gravel (not white sand as it is advertised), the water in the sea is shallow (might be ideal for kids though) and the seabed is covered in big, chunky stones/pebbles - it'a nuisance to walk in, quite unpleasant in fact. The room with a seaview is alright, however, the airconditioner is very noisy giving off a rather bad smell. Actually, the whole room stinks slightly. The breakfast buffet is not too varied but again alright. There are blackbirds flying around the restaurant over the tables occasionally stopping to nibble your breakfast. In the evening usually there is no hot water in the bathroom.

This is beautiful beachfront hotel with a large swimming pool. It has, apart from Standard restaurant which serves breakfast and/or lunch and dinner for all inclusive customers, nice "a la carte" restaurant. Beach in front of the hotel is sandy with free sun loungers, however they charge returnable deposits of 25 Euros for beach towels.
Staff speaks French language only, apart from front desk where most of them can speak English.

typical simple island hotel, located right on the coast, nice park, quiet peaceful beach,

The service was great for most of my stay. There is an employee at the bar who definitely needs sensitivity training. Tourists be aware!

Only stayed for 1 night but the property was nice, clean, friendly staff and plenty to do. Would definitely stay again

Property itself is beautiful, beach right there, nice big pool. Staff were often rude, as if they are not happy being there. No ability to get anything to eat once restaurant hours are over, only eating option is the all-inclusive which we did not get (i.e. no a la carte options)
You need a car if you want to go anywhere - nothing worthwhile is within walking distance
Nightly "entertainment" is non-existant - one poor guy trying to get people to dance to outdated music
But...we made the most of our 4 days there by enjoying the sun and water

The room was clean & temperature was good. My bathroom nah no soap holder since it was broken.
The 2 lamps beside the bed were broken so the room wasn’t as bright.
The wifi signal is very weak. Room service wasn’t bad the service was quick.

Nice hotel for a 3 star, spacious and right on the beach. Most of the staff were pleasant however, they had made an error with my booking and it was a nightmare to sort out. The reception and restaurant staff implied that I was trying to con them even though i had proof and confirmation of the reservation! I had to call Expedia to intervene. It was completely unnecessary and extremely bad customer service.

The Wifi was not working for 3 days…..and during all this period the staff didn’t know what to answer you when you ask why the wifi is not working….
I can assume that eventually can be a problem with the wifi but….3 days???

This property is situated very nicely. We understand they had been closed for quite a while, so conditions seemed to reflect that. Its a lovely setting with beach, pool, sidewalks, lots of open air in the public spaces. Our first day the pool was closed--very disappointing. Our first night into the following morning there was no water. The airconditioning in the room was very weak. Sometimes a definite musty smell in the hallways. Cleaning in the room and outdoor balcony definitely not thourough. Wonderful waterfront restaurant for evening dining.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with our stay at Hotel Fleur d'Epee. From check-in to check-out the staff were very courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel made it quite easy to get to from the airport and I felt it was centrally located so that I could get to the rest of the island easily. We had a rental car and drove all over. The island of Guadeloupe is beautiful.
We had a very nice Sea View Room with patio that also had a small sofa and chair. The view of the beach and water was magnificent. The room was well maintained.
We had not gone the all inclusive route and our stay only included the breakfast which was quite good and started our day out great. The breakfast buffet selection was extensive including meats, cheeses, vegetables, fresh cooked eggs, and a wide array of fruits and bread. There was actually a lot of other things but this is what I focused on.
It is hard to describe but there were actually two benches. The beach on the right was magnificent, calm and very nice to swim in, The beach on the left, because of its particular angle to the sea was much rougher an I saw several people surfing on this side. The waves were not to big and this would be a great area for a beginner or the older surfer.
As we checked out quite early, Fabien (who was fantastic) offered to get us some coffee and food for our trip the airport since we were leaving before the breakfast started.
It is good to know a little French!
