Close convenient quaint quiet neighbourhood with a hop, skip & jump to the beach, restaurants & metro.

The room was small, but it was fine for just my boyfriend and I. The bed was two twin beds pushed together, not the most comfortable, but not a big deal at all. There’s a few bars nearby. The beach is a super short walk away. The metro is also super close by. About 20-25 minutes to the city. However, it’s good to note that the metro stops running at midnight during the week. Taxi’s are super expensive coming back from the city to the hotel. If you’re looking to explore the city without limitations, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We saved on hotel costs, but spent SOOOO much more on transportation. You get what you pay for. Don’t expect anything extravagant for the price. The room is clean and neat. The comforter in the closet didn’t look so clean, but I honestly don’t think many hotels wash those at all so I didn’t find this abnormal. Staff was nice. We didn’t communicate too much because of our language barrier, but we communicated enough to know they were kind. Sometime at night, they lock down the entrance. There is no longer someone at the entrance. You have to go through the restaurant entrance and ring the bell in order to be let in. I believe the owners live there. This was just a bit uncomfortable, only because we did stay out late and felt bad every time we rang in. Side note: There are no irons to iron your clothes. This was tough for someone like me, who hates wrinkled clothing. Make sure you pack lotion too. Only small bars of soap available.

This place is really cool. There are many places to eat, shopping and view to take photos. The Ocata beach is a beauty beach. To go at Barcelona downtown you can take the train (Rodalies) that is near to this hotel (30 min.).

Hotel Torino is a simple, clean, well located family run hotel near the beach in Masnou, a bedroom community of Barcelona. This hotel is not for those who like to be pampered in luxurious surroundings. Also, I don't think it is for those who want to see all the sights in Barcelona in 3 days. If you want to spend some days at the beach and some days seeing Barcelona, Hotel Torino is for you. If you want quiet, comfortable, clean accommodations in a quieter, slower paced location, Hotel Torino is for you. The hotel is two blocks off the main street in Masnou, so it is quiet. The beach is across the main street, and across the rail line (a pedestrian passage takes you below the train line and back up, no big deal). The beach is awesome with lifeguards, bars and restaurants serving drinks and tapas, restrooms, and great clean beaches. The main street has plenty of restaurants and shops for just about anything you might need. The hotel is small, with an elevator. Our room was comfortable with air conditioning, shower, toilet, basin, desk, chair, closet, nightstands and a tv. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

Exactly like advertised. Convenient location, decent price - dont expect a lot but youre not paying a lot.Shower hot water was a bit of an issue.Rooms smelled a little musty but were clean. Did not see any bugs/insects.We needed to leave at 7am- front desk not yet open (small hotel run by an older couple-very nice people who managed to speak a little English). We found front door completely locked shut by a metal roll-down door. We felt around for the back door in the dark and managed to unlock it. Which got us to thinking about fire escape issues- but perhaps north american standards are higher than Spain.

Its a greta location if you want to be in Masnou, which admittedly is REALLY FAR AWAY from the centre of Barcelona. On the plus side that makes it relatively cheap in terms of room rent. The hotel is simple, rooms are tiny but spic and span, staff are very friendly and obliging.
