Located right on the beach in Jacksonville. No parking on property—had to park across the street without security or liability.
Lots of homelessness on the beach and around the public parking lot right next door to hotel. There was a wedding party there for two of the days and the noise above us wasn’t awful—except at 2am and 3:37 am when there was a loud crash and disturbance. The staff was very accommodating and gracious as it is NOT AN ADA PROPERTY (it’s old and historic) but they let my 100% DAV use the service elevator so we could enjoy the rooftop restaurant. We loved the view and the food and the staff was phenomenal (free REAL BREAKFAST)
Just didn’t enjoy the homeless population we had to walk through and around at every corner and juncture.

Pros:
Beach front, great location and courteous staff.
Cons:
Old hotel that is not well maintained. Room furniture are slightly broken and needs replacement. Low water pressure for the bathroom shower and water temperature does not get hot.
Overall: Disappointed..Very uncomfortable room for romantic couple getaway trip.

Friendly and helpful staff at check in and check out. Room was clean.

Casa Marina self-identifies as an events driven hotel. It is. We had to leave the night of our check-in due to a wedding and music that basically made any room activity impossible. That said, staff was apologetic and understanding. Probably super for events, not do much for just staying at Jax Beach.

It's a quaint hotel in a premium location. Reasonably priced, beautiful rooms. I can't say enough good things.

My wife and I weren't able to stay due to overbooking. I received a voicemail at 4:00 on Saturday, the night of our reservation, that their was miscommunication with Expedia and the hotel was experiencing overbooking. We will be receiving a refund, but very disappointed.

This hotel was musty and smelled everywhere. There was no water or blow dryer in the room and a wedding was happening so you felt like you were trying to go to sleep with a night club on the other side of the wall. Staff was less than stellar and parking instructions were "you're on your own". The small lot they had was full and paid parking everywhere else and they couldn't advise on rules for the paid lots, extremely disappointing as a local resident recommended the hotel to me.

What a find first they upgraded us to nicer room because it was slow because of the weather. Then we went to have a drink at the bar and grill at the hotel the staff there were fun and cared about our experience. Would highly recommend this hotel

Stayed one night. All staff encounters were just wonderful. Room on the first floor was in rough shape. While the sheets were clean, various surfaces in the room were not. Several guests came in close to midnight and were talking loudly in the hallway.

Old historic hotel but well maintained and comfortable. Well worth the stay.

Wonderful spot on the beach. The room was a basic full size bed. It was pretty small but true to the vintage style of the hotel

unorganized , they gave me a room i went to eat and my keys didn't work, I went to desk and they reprogrammed my keys , I went to room and almost open the door but the security bar was in place , they gave my room to someone else , this 10 pm , so they gave me another room with a bed that was in such a bad condition , that i had to sleep at the foot of the bed , and the noise for the ceiling fan all nite , and every 10 minutes and motor or something would come on for 15 minutes , so i got no sleep , i should have just sleep in my car , never again will i or anyone from my company stay here .

The best owners EVER! So kind and accommodating! 10/10 would return!

I did not realize this was a party hotel. The first night we got there, a fashion show was going on with really loud music and people partying. The second night was a bar mitzvah-again loud music. We stayed on the second floor on the other end of the hotel so the noise was not too bad. I would not stay there again or in the area. The hotel is next to beach parking and again there was lots of noise at night. Engines revving and loud shouting and partying outside.
The best part about it was the beach access which was great. If you want a calm relaxing weekend, do not stay in Jacksonville. Go down further do Destin beach. That is for sure what I will do next time.

Don’t stay here unless you’re there to party! It’s a charming historic building but the penthouse bar and ground floor event space are far too noisy for a comfortable hotel stay.
The musty smell and slightly shabby rooms could be overlooked if it weren’t for the live DJ music pumping through every room and party people clomping and hollering up and down the stairs and hallways.
The suites have a small sofa in addition to the bed but don’t expect to sleep 3–it’s not a pullout, way too small for even a child to sleep on, and the rollaway cots are a joke.
Although it’s directly on the beach, there is no beachy vibe to this place. There’s not even a shower to rinse off sandy feet, and I thought I could live without a balcony but ended up feeling like I wasn’t even close to the beach. We ended up getting a refund and moving to the margaritaville next door and it was amazing

Beautiful hotel with super views upstairs bar does get quite busy and crowded but otherwise it’s fantastic

1. The hotel has NO parking what so ever. You must fight for very limited and taken free parking, as well as daily paid parking. All parking is taken all day by beach goers.
2. I had room 214. There is a stairwell to the roof top bar just outside the door. Extreme noise from the bar and band stream down the staircase until 2 AM every night except Sunday. There is a door at the top of the stairs that the bar manager refused to close.
3. Drunks engaged in a fight come stumbling down the stairs from the bar screaming at each other.
4. Staff on site at the front desk refused to do anything about the above. The owner was not on site. There is NO security on staff.
I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone until the above is corrected.

Location is 5 star.
Room was not clean. Prior guests hair everywhere and accumulated dust and grime evident.
Elevator broke while we were in it.

Unlike all the bland corporate box hotels surrounding it, the Casa Marina has distinct character, great vibes, and the spirit of classic Jacksonville Beach.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The environs were comfortable and inviting. I would choose the Casa Marina over any of the nearby hotels each and every time.

The hotel is a little dirty overall everywhere; it’s historic and needs a good deep cleaning. Bedding was adequate but overall just kinda gross. Toilets don’t flush well. It’s best quality is that it’s on the beach and situated near great dining you can walk too. The penthouse bar is also nice. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This was our first time at Casa. I knew it was a historic hotel so it was as expected with historice charm. Check in was amazing, Tiffany at the front desk was welcoming amd friendly. The room was older so it had a slight smell but it was clean and had everything we needed. We went to the Penthouse upstairs for drinks. The band was great and service at the bar was prompt despite being very busy. When we returned to the room later that night we had a slight maintenance issue but the woman at the desk that night quickly moved us to a different room that was great. Unfortunately, we slept in and missed the breakfast but I was told it was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

I loved the nostalgic feel and look of the place, amazing location right on the beach.
One small draw back is if you have allergies you may want to bring a small dehumidifier, it’s a beautiful place that’s well preserved but due to the age and moisture it may trigger allergies in some people
Having said that I would definitely stay there again. It takes you back to when times were elegant and simpler also the photo art on the walls is like an added perk for the eyes

A beautiful, well-mannered and very comfortable hotel. Great location so close to axterrific beach.

Really pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised - it’s an older place, but that’s expected. They were having a very raucous party in the evening - it was PACKED. But by 10:30-ish they shut everything down and the hotel was pretty quiet. We’d stay again for a party beach night.

Location was perfect! Loved the charm. The breakfast was wonderful! Now for the not so good stuff. Need to do a much better job of cleaning. Floors were not clean. Carpeting on stairs was absolutely filthy. Sofas and chairs in rooms were very old and dirty. Water pressure in shower wasn’t strong and didn’t get very hot. Staff was wonderful and accommodating but cleanliness is super important to me and this hotel just didn’t make the cut this time.

Shame on the naysayers, this is a quaint historic inn with an excellent location, accommodating staff , comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast. If you are expecting the Ritz, stay at the Ritz. Furthermore, if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all, especially if you haven't asked to speak with the general manager to allow the complaints to be addressed and rectified. Come on people, it's the hospitality industry, no matter if restaurant, hotel or ice cream shop, if your not satisfied with the product, at least give management the opportunity to make it right or stop your whining. Also keep in mind that when you point your finger at someone, you have three fingers pointed back at yourself.
I am a retired resort ops professional team leader who spent the bulk of his career at resorts in the Caribbean, have won many industry awards including one of the most coveted in the hospitality industry.
I have had the pleasure to stay at this hotel three times in the last five weeks while in Jacksonville on personal business, I will be making weekly trips to Jacksonville for the next several months and the Casa Marina is where I will be staying. A definite pearl, in the Jacksonville beach sand!
My hat is off to the team at the Casa Marina for keeping the lights on at this grand historic inn, sharing with us her past and believing in her future.
Sincerely,
Dean H Morris

Very nice hotel. I recommend it’s for everyone

The location was ideal being right in front of the beach, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very helpful. However, there were many issues. One really big issue was the loud music all night long from Margaritaville next door and the noise from the Rooftop Lounge until 11pm. The air conditioner in the bedroom was very noisy every 10 minutes or so. There was mold growing around the bathroom vent. Lots of water damage on the walls in the living room and bathroom. The furniture has so many dings that need to be repainted or replaced. The couches are old and cushions are dirty. The pull out bed mattress was horrible. Lack of parking or parking should be specified strictly for guests next to the hotel. There are no modern accessories for USB cords. Need to replace batteries in remotes. Many cut corners like trying to cover up cords from the tv to the unit box by placing the table and chair in front of it and in other spots of the room. When turning on the cold water in the shower, hot water came out and the water temperature was not consistent. The bath towels were too small to wrap around one's body. There was nowhere to get water, ice, or vending machines where guest rooms were.
