Did like the proximity to the beach and town. This property is need of an update. The lights in the room didn’t all work. The room we had was right by a door that led to other rooms and it slammed shut every time some one went in and out.

The location was good and central and the room provided the basics including a comfortable bed and basic bathroom facilities. The AC worked poorly and could not maintain a steady comfortable temp- was either too hot or freezing cold. Walls were thin and you could easily hear noisy neighbors. The room was clean enough but the property was not- stairs going upstairs were dirty and parking lot had lots of litter. The staff were not helpful or responsive at all - bordering on rude. I spent 4 nights there and was very anxious to leave on my checkout day. Overall, I was not happy as a guest and felt that the staff and management could do a much better job at taking care of their guests. Thankfully I had a wonderful time in Sechelt with friends and did not have to spend too much time in the motel. Motel was generally disappointing and overpriced for what I got. I would not recommend.

We found that the property lacked proper maintenance. Sliding doors were so rusted and dirty that you could hardly open them. The screen doors were off the runners. Hallways and outside were filthy. House keeping was sloppy; beds just had the covers thrown over sloppily, towels just thrown in the bathroom, coffee was not refilled, dishes in cupboards were dirty and not enough for the guests, hair dryer had been broken off the wall and just laid on the vanity. Thank goodness the sheets were clean. From previous visits we expected more. We love the location.

The days we spent in the hotel were disturbing and not worth the price paid for it. The room was not as per request the blame was placed on Expedia while the front office was not able to provide explanation the reason why we have been put in a different room. Lot of mistakes were done by the staff. The unit was overprice being a 1 star hotel at best. Ew will never book a hotel through Expedia or visit an inn where the price is noted as a hotel.

Amazing location in beautiful Sechelt! Ocean walk right outside the Driftwood! Ocean water clean for swimming or paddling. Rocky beach so bring your water shoes! Shopping and various dining options just a few blocks away. This location is a little piece of heaven!

This probably won’t get posted but I feel the need to warn others/provide feedback to encourage change by hotel. I checked in, viewed my room and immediately booked an alternate hotel. The manager refused to refund (as communicated to me through the kind front desk lady). I will preface this with, I am not a princess, I’ve stayed in some less than ideal hotels but this was beyond what I was willing to sleep in. This is my first poor review of a hotel in my 45 years of travelling. Hotel room smelled like urine, stained bedding, stained chairs, broken curtains, flickering lights and bathroom light bulb had a nice to touch it to make it work (faulty electrical?), filthy, booger on the wall (yes you read that right), bathroom mirror had I don’t know what on it but it was hard to see through. I took several photos which I’ll share on trip advisor. It was not up to basic cleanliness standards. Until these reviews are taken seriously by management the situation will not improve.

Location is great, beach is directly nearby, and gener area around the hotel is gorgeous but the hotel is in poor condition. Feels like the building is ready to be torn down but is still operating until the last minute.

Everything on the sunshine coast is both weird (in a quirky way) and wonderful - that is what makes it so special. The hotel is no different - weird in it has had a few minor upgrades, but is still relatively sub standard (especially the exterior), and wonderful in it has a fabulous location on the seawall / ocean, and a few blocks from food and shops. And the bottom line - it is the only hotel in Sechelt, so we keep going back.

Ready to be condemned! There was no smoke detector in our room, we had spiders and centipedes crawling around the head of our bed, black mould in the shower, an ant trap in the closet, multiple lights were burnt out, the AC was broken and it’s filters black and disgusting, the TV was from 2002 and also didn’t work and finally… The internet was broken. This dump is not up to fire code or basic health standards. I’ve alerted the fire marshal and would not be surprised if they shut this place down. Sleeping in your car is a better option than this place.
