This property was good as I expected. Good view. This is good if you are coming with friends to hang out. I didn’t not find extra activities.

Thank the Sales Manager Aleena, and all the friendly staff here for preparing my proposal.
The decorations and the bouquet was gorgeous and my girlfriend LOVED it. It was a big surprise for both of us.
Everything was beyond my expectations.
We will definitely come visit you guys again!

The room is filthy, and the bathroom stinks. Roads to the mountains are very bumpy. The visibility was most disappointing due to wood burning in and around the valley.

It’s the staff that won me over. They were warm and did what they could to make it a pleasant experience - resolved issues, paid attention to my needs and responded quickly. Food options are great, too!

There are obviously some months when the view to the mountains will be clearer than others.
Love the multiple levels that this property occupies.
New construction is happening of a pool, viewing deck and an igloo.
What I didn't like was that there is not enough integration of the hotel with nature. It is situated on top of and built into a mountain, yet the local flora and fauna have not been acknowledged into it's design. It would be lovely and a great opportunity for the hotel to design the pools and
new construction in authentic nepalese rather than modern style. It also would be great to give the guests an introduction of the native wildlife the lives and grows there: plants, trees, animals, birds, insects etc. A well designed self-guided walking botanical tour would be very easy to set-up.
As much as I loved the view and the room, it would have been great to get noiseproof bathroom for privacy from my partner too!
Also think about providing better filtered water facility to your guests on all floors so they do not have to resort to purchasing water & more plastic. You kindly provided water in the rooms but they were in plastic bottles.
Please make recycling possible.

We stay with Hitel country villa only one night , we wish we could stayed longer. About two hrs drive from Kathmandu with all the bumpy road, but is worth. We stay at the suite room with a indoor spa tub, room with balcony with a amazing view. Service very good , clean n good size room , hotel restaurant good food and also very reasonable price. We are very happy with this hotel .

We booked the rooms with a view and we were not disappointed. The view was awesome and you can watch the sunrise directly from the room.

Spent 2 night's here for the views but we didn't get them. Can't do much about the weather. The hotel itself is lovely a great place to relax and have a wander about. Eat both night's in the restaurant which was good. Would stay there again.
Only negative is the journey, bumpy roads, but after all its Nepal.

On our last night in Nepal, we decided to stay in the Gaurishankar Suite since it was only ~$50 more than staying in the most basic rooms (note those did look very small) at the hotel. The suite is roomy, has a nice view, and a balcony (only complaint would be the wasp nest on the roof directly above the balcony which I'm sure they will deal with).I had read some reviews stating that the food was a sub-par buffet-only here. Fortunately, those reviews were completely wrong. There is a big a-la-carte menu with Western, Chinese, and Indian options all available. Everything that we ordered was very good and we would have little interest in going elsewhere even if our stay was longer. The restaurant patio is also very nice with a great view.Overall the property is very nice and there are lots of little quiet spots with seating and swings.I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nagarkot. Just be advised that in order to access Nagarkot, you will need 339 Nepalese Rupees in cash per foreign visitor in order to pass a check point most of the way up the road. We fortunately had this, but if not, it would have been a long ride back down to Bhaktapur to find an ATM!

We had to change room because of the strong smell of mildew. Can see water stain on ceilings and wall. Water was dripping over toilet. Finally switched to a suite, slightly better but still see mildew

Overall i would rate it 3 out 5 because i found it to be below my expectation. There are many reasons for it:
1. Food was average in taste and breakfast provided was below average.
2. We booked deluxe rooms but the size of rooms was very compact.
3. Electric kettle was not provided in any room, although it is a very basic amenity.
Pros:
1. Good property with several common sitting areas.
2. Good view and comfortable weather at nagarkot.
3. Isolated from the hussle of the city.

The best thing about the hotel are the views of the mountains (if not too hazy) and the valley from the restaurant and rooms. The only difference we could see between the standard and deluxe rooms that we could see was a shared patio versus a private patio from which you can still see your neighbors. The bed is a little on the hard side but we were so tired that we slept fine. The food at the restaurant was a little bland and could be improved. I think hotels.com says that the rooms have bathrobes and kettles but the rooms actually do not. With all that said, this seems to be one of the nicest hotels in nagarkot.

The hotel has a great position with views of the valley, and on clear days, views of the mountain ranges ahead. The area offers little to do other than explore the countryside, and limited with places to eat, you will be captive to what the hotel has to offer.
However, the food in in the restaurant is poor, and fails terribly. A buffet style of eating, catering to the bus loads of people that come to take in the view, but fails terribly in delivering anything edible - I ate only the the plain rice and pushed away the rest. Bring something to eat if you are staying the night.
The price it demands does not match the service and quality you get. Yet there is so much potential with this property, they do many things correct, but requires a better execution of delivering a higher standard of service, particularly when it comes to the food served in the restaurant.

It was a dream...has to be the best view I have seen in my life. And the hotel was like being in heaven. The ambience was perfect.

Stayed for 1 night with family of 6 pax & were pleased with the room cleanliness, location, cool environment & choice of Vegetarian food available, besides the excellent service. Would certainly like to stay there again for minimum 2 nights.

I visited there in March. It was a very cold day, but the water was not cold enough for shower. Not great selection in the menu for dinner. There was was no restaurant in the neighborhood so it was disappointing. The staff were friendly and helpful though.

The hotel is nice, nothing extraordinary for the price, but the real worth is the sunrise view of the Himalayas. It has a perfect view of the mountain range but first check if it's going to be cloudy that day, if not don't even bother to go to Nagarkot. The food is not good in the hotel (and expensive!), try to eat somewhere else.
