We got there after a funeral and the room smelled like mildew. then the bed was not comfortable. we wake up to roachs on the nite stand on my husbands cpap machine and in the bathtub. i move my husbands dirty clothes from the floor and 2 more roaches ran out from under them.

Great location and set up! Our room was very nice and spacious, but the mattresses were a little firm for my preferences. And it looked like someone had cleaned recently, but my feet got a bit dirty walking around, so they might have needed to sweep again after cleaning. The continental breakfast was just bad. There was plenty of food, but everything tasted stale, especially the cereal. And there was cold water in the hot water container. Hopefully they'll improve the breakfast soon.

We arrived about 8:30-9 pm (after dark) and were exhausted from driving all day. The desk clerk was very nice and asked if we wanted 1st or 2nd level. No elevator so we chose the 1st floor. As soon as we opened the door to the room we were blasted with cold air and a horrible odor. Not sure if it was mold or chemicals from a significant clean-up due to a flood or hazmat but it was bad. We were too exhausted to deal with it so we turned off the A/C that was set at 38! My refrigerator is set at 40! And we just went to bed. The room had no art on the walls but holes and patched holes that were painted with a different color. The bathroom looked old and had what appeared to be water stains on the bottom 1” of the door frame.
The breakfast room the next morning had 2 other guests when we walked in but almost every table was dirty with crumbs and/or spilt..coffee? Something liquid. When we checked out I told the day clerk, also very nice, that there was something wrong with “that room” either moldy or chemical as I handed her our room keys. She seemed to know immediately which room I was referring to and said, “I wouldn’t have put you in that room.” I added that had we not been so tired I would have asked for a change and she said she wished I would have asked.
I think something horrible previously happened in our room and it was NOT ready for a new guest. The odors greatly affected my asthma. Plus the dirty tables in the breakfast area, I won’t be back.

It was a good place to stay before a family float trip! The guy at the front desk was great!! Expedia allowed me to reserve a room that they didn't have, but he found us 1 and it was even a little cheaper! So glad we didn't drive all that way for nothing!!

They did not have my reservation in their system. They had no room for me. They offered me a room next to laundry which was noisy but it didn’t bother me. The room didn’t have a refrigerator, or coffeemaker. The light over the sink was burnt out, and we had problems with the tv connectivity. I felt like a price reduction in my nightly rate might have been in order.

I felt the bed was the best part. No coffee or clock in room. Floor did not appear to have been mopped, but at least did not have carpet. I went downstairs the next morning and got the last cup of coffee in the pot and observed several ants on the counter and floor. I booked the trip through Expedia and they could not find my reservation for several minutes. There are not a lot of places to stay in the area, so I would stay there again if needed. The parking lot was full of guest cars the next day

Room was great, A/C ran really well (needed since the temp was around 100°F). Housekeeping was helpful as well.

The location was so convenient and near a nice local diner that we enjoyed. The park was in walking distance and we enjoyed it as well. The hotel did not seem to have been updated at all, but was clean. The staff was very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. While the Hotel was merely average, I would stay here again for the location and convenience.

Nice little hotel on the state line. Perfect stop for our family road trip!

It was a clean property, but the room was not as advertised. We paid for two queens and a sleeper sofa and only had two queen beds with a sitting chair. There aren't many options in the area, but it was a good property for the location.

Room had a horrible smell, sink drained slow and finally didn’t drain at all. Just seemed liked a very old property.

Bed was great and comfortable. Place was clean, safe, easy parking, nice staff. Drain in the shower barely drained and the shower curtain was way too long.

We reserved a room at one price and we’re charged double when we checked in. The manager was not available. Apparently this happened to a number of the guests here. It was not resolved. Very unhappy. This was my first experience with Expedia

We booked over 12 months in advance for $115. When we walked in after driving 4 hours with our family of 5, we were told that the owner raised the price to $195 for the night due to the eclipse. We said it shouldn’t matter, Expedia bookings are a contract. The gals at the front desk called the owner to talk with us.
The owner argued that Expedia couldn’t know what the rates were a year out, but it let me book nonetheless. She told the front desk girls to cancel our reservation but there was a family of 3 behind us as well that also booked over a year ago and were told a much lower rate. The girl at the desk didn’t want to turn away two families who had no where else to stay in town, so she was able to talk the owner into letting us stay for $150.
We are still baffled that the owner thinks she can just change a contract agreement on a whim and get away with it. This left us with a very bad taste in our mouth for the experience, but it was worth the hassle to see the eclipse at the beautiful state park across the street.
As for the accommodations, the front desk was very kind and apologetic. They let us check out an hour later at no extra charge. The suite room was a spacious room and the lobby was nice and open. The building is dated and worn but serviceable. My husband noticed mice scurrying in the walls overnight but I thankfully did not. Breakfast was filling but not extravagant. The front desk had thoughtful eclipse treat bags and coloring pages for the kids.

This hotel was so clean, very nice accommodations. The only thing I was disappointed with was the “full” breakfast. It’s only bacon and eggs on Friday and Saturday. I was there on Saturday evening to Monday morning.

We stayed four nights. The room was not made after the first night. The bathtub hot/cold control was revered, resulting in hot water when set to cold. Dangerous.

This was our second stay at this motel in a week. Our first stay was not so bad minus the noisy AC unit in our room. Our last stay was horrible. The room was hot and muggy the AC unit could not keep up so we did not sleep very well. The coat rack was broken and there was a nasty old broken fan in the room.
