Nice hotel. Full of very noisy guests from China ,

A good and clean hotel. Rooms were modern and comfortable. The reception staff that greeted me were polite and professional.
3.0 / 10.0
Caution: there is no air conditioner control in the room! If we want the temperature to change we have the ask in the reception. The control in the room only works for turning on or off. Also it never goes below 22°C, although it shows 20. So if you like to change temperatures along the day or for the night, go somewhere else.
The hotel is very well located, in front of a beautiful beach, also a nice place to see the famous sunset (the beach). 1,5Km from downtown, so it is walkable. Breakfast is complete, but with only one coffee machine, there is always a line and it can take a while until you get your coffee. There was no coffee machine or free water in the room, no conditioner for the hair (only shampoo, that made my hair strange). The staff was nice, and tried to help with the room temperature, but there is not much they can do if the service itself is not available.

The room felt dirty and tired - also the the weird metal coverings on the balcony above the railing made it so you couldn’t see the ocean - which was why we booked that room.

Very good hotel, with a nice pool. Service and personnel are excellent. Rooms comfortable and a wide variety of fresh breakfast items available.

Hotel is very dirty
8.0 / 10.0
The hotel had clean rooms and a large variety of foods at breakfast. I would have liked if the hotel was a bit closer to some of the attractions in town.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It has good bones and nice balconies, but it is a property that has not been kept up. It is not what travelers have come to expect from Croatia. It is in need of a deep cleaning and spruce up. The furniture in the lobby was dirty. They need to replace all the artificial plants with real plants. The carpet in the room was filthy and the edges of the carpeting is coming undone. There were marks and dirt all over the walls in the room and hair on the bed. The restaurant feels more like a cafeteria. One good thing is the pool area. Very nice.

Convenient location to the old town, 15 min walking. Right by a beautiful beach.

Nice facilities but carpet was stained and rooms dated. But easy to walk to many attractions, including the sea organ.
Good breakfast. Very nice pool area.

Found room dirty. Used dental floss on night stand. Ants in the room on counters and near bed. Not happy with our stay at all.

Great value hotel in an excellent location with friendly helpful staff.

Loved the proximity to the beach and it was an easy walk to the old town. I didn’t swim but the pool was beautiful and the breakfast offered a great variety. Stayed originally for the parking but would definitely stay here again.

The room was too hot (23c) and the hotel said they were not able to turn the temp down/air con on. Opened the door for cooler air and the mosquitos attacked. Rooms are quite dated and property is fairly run down. Staff was lovely and great location.

Good location for beach - shame pool wasn’t open yet as weather (for Brits at least) is definitely hot enough! Room was a great size and comfy bed. Toilet was a little temperamental with flushing. When needed anything staff were helpful. Unfortunately, the heating was on / controlled by hotel - it was so hot in room and the reception said there was nothing they could do. Constant 22 degrees in room during night so would have to wake up to open door for some air.

Nice hotel in immediate proximity to the beach with modern rooms. The old city center is easily reachable with just a 15-minute walk. Great breakfast buffet and friendly staff.

The front desk staff were very quick and helpful. However the hotel looks run down in some areas. The room was very dark, the carpet was dingy and the bed was quite hard. Overall, not good value for the money.

To expensive, this should not be 4 stars hotel, I would rate it 1 star.

Great location - only 10mins walk to the old town. The hotel style was obviously built in 70’s/80’s but looks to have been recently refurbished. Plenty of loungers around the pool and access to the beach. Pool Towels provided which is great if travelling light as well as toiletries in bathroom. Room size is fine though the sliding door between en-suite is a bit heavy. In the bathroom the shower is over the bath which is quite a deep step into and could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but I stayed in a 5* hotel recently in the old town which was just the same. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dining room is functional and clean. Good choice at buffet breakfast - continental, hot, breads, pastries, fruit. Overall excellent value for money and I would stay again

Great location and 10-12 min walk to old town. Old property! The pool was the hi-light of the property (and even that was old). Room was dated, small and dingy. There was a used water bottle under our bed and hair strands in the tub, carpet stained.

I liked the swimming pool & bar, the breakfast service, the staff (very friendly & helpfull). I would definitly recommend hotel Kolovare to others, and would stay there again when visiting Zadar again.

Positives - Great location, walkable to Old Town Zadar and opposite public beach. Large room (we had a suite). Good plentiful breakfast. Nice area around the pool with sun loungers (but people put towels down early so be aware to get there early).
Could do better - Air conditioning is centrally controlled so room tended to be too cool for us. Have to ask reception to change temperature in room. Pool ok, but could do with being upgraded.

The lobby is not as big as in the photo. The rooms are rather small but clean.. Bathrooms are average. They charged 5E per day for parking, but it could be free if you used right reservation method. Check. Try to go directly thru hotel.
Strengths are the great buffet breakfast in a huge room included in price and good quality lunch and dinner also. We ate a few dinners in the hotel for under 15 euros and they were good. Not as great as wonderful restaurants in Zadar, but good. Hotel has a big pool with drink service. Beach is right in back of hotel and nice walk in 15 min to walled center of the city. They called cabs for us quicklly. Front desk was very responsive. The hotel is very quiet for sleeping. Price is reasonable. I would return for sure.

Old hotel. Tired but in good condition. Clean large staff to help. Next to the beach. No stores close by. You need a car if you want to go any shops/restaurants. The price was fair I would stay there again only if I had a car.

Great stop off in Zadar before a morning flight home. Breakfast available from 7am and 15 min drive to the airport.

Positiv: The room was nice and quiet, although facing the main Road. Wifi worked very well. The Beach is nice and clean and there were enough sunbeds at the Pool. Breakfast was good. The Hotel is in walkable Distance to the Oldtown (20 minutes)
Negative: I did not like the big Pillows and the bad Smell in the Corridore of the old carpet. There is not much space in the Bathroom to store your things. Very strange Way to open your Room Door: first one has to use the Magnetic Card and then push really tough to open the Door.

Absolutely beautiful. Rooms are small but the amenities are so good, you literally just need to room for sleeping. The only thing was the temperature control air conditioning wasn’t as cool as we needed. We did get hot in the middle of the night. But otherwise the place was beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here. It’s walking distance into town with plenty of restaurants around to choose from.

Convenient place to stay that is easily walkable to the bus station. Also great pool area with ample seating. Secure entry also makes it feel safe. Room was great size and clean. Also nice to have the balcony.

Large resort hotel with swimming pool and access to beach, saw lots of families. I chose it for the free parking but it was a 10 to 15 min walk to the center. Very spacious room with plenty of mirrors, toiletry amenities.
