Grand Hotell Flekkefjord is highly recommended. Super friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, tastefully decorated in period style to match the historic ambience of this venerable hotel. We had the junior suite at the top of the tower. Quirky, but spacious and quiet. Grand Gastro restaurant was excellent. Flekkefjord itself is a quaint little town with plenty to do for a long weekend, and perhaps longer.

We came to Flekkefjord and the Grand Hotell for a family reunion/funeral/life celebration from the USA. We had a private dinner event for 20 and everything went off without a hitch.
It was a perfect several days relaxing and visiting with family.

The room was clean but it was too noisy till very late. I manage to sleep around 2am but the noice was still ongoing. My sense is that there is a nightclub nearby as I was hearing music. Also, I was told the hotel’s parking was full and I had to look for and alternative secured but expensive parking.

The hotel and staff were very good. However, the hotel bar was open until 2 am and I was kept awake by shouting, screaming and thumping music.
If the hotel wishes to maintain its status as a peaceful and civilised establishment, it should ensure that the bar closes no later than midnight and rowdy behaviour is prevented.

Koselig og sjarmerende hotell med mye historie, hyggelig betjening og fantastisk beliggenhet midt i gamlebyen :)

I had read that rooms are spacious, but our room was cramped. Double bed had no passage on one side, so one of us had to enter fram foot-end.
No bed side tables.
Two arm-chairs though, such as all doubles ought to have.
No shelf for suitcase, and glass shower door that bangs into a very tiny washbasin.
Floor plan shows enormous rooms on corners, and the rest of the rooms same size as our room.
Good breakfast, but some guest may miss pastry.

From the moment we pulled up to the Grand Hotel, we knew we had made a great decision.
Our check-in experience was outstanding. We arrived quite late due to a flight delay, but the moment we walked in they knew who we were, had our paperwork ready, and the process took less than 2 minutes.
Our room was quaint. Not overly flashy, but had all the necessary amenities one would need. The balcony had amazing views and was a nice addition. Our bed was very comfortable.
The following morning, we ventured downstairs and had breakfast. I did not catch her name, but the morning desk agent went out of her way to provide us with an alternate route as we ventured north to Haugesund. As newbies to Norway, we thought the E-39 was the best way. However, she recommended we take the R-44. While it did add an extra 30 minutes to our drive, the breathtaking views and interesting attractions were well worth the extra time. We’re so fortunate to have had this wonderful sightseeing adventure thanks to her recommendation.
In sum, we are forever grateful to this hotel for adding a special touch to our trip.
We can highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for more personalized details.

Very quaint hotel located in the center of the town, within a short walk to harbor, restaurants, shops. Our corner room was beautiful and had a small cupola with a curved seating area. We were told the hotel was built in 1897 but was extensively remodeled a few years ago. Our bath even had a Jacuzzi tub.
