Truely a wonderful experience! We were visiting the shrine at Fatima. Staying here made me feel like I was staying out in the countryside, yet walkable the sanctuary. Accommodations were simple yet elegant, beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was very bountiful and delicious and the service was perfect. The swimming pool was amazing—warm and relaxing. The grounds cannot be described as they are too beautiful for words. The animals were a very special touch. I strongly recommend this property.

We loved this place from the moment we pulled into the parking area. When Angela greeted us in the reception area, we knew it was going to be a special stay. She offered us some team and gingerbread cookies and gave us a quick tour of the facilities. OMG, what a wonderful place. We travel a lot, this place is magical. So peaceful and quiet, we overslept in the morning (very unusual for us). Just lovely.

From the moment you arrive, you are treated to tea and cookies in a lobby area that has gorgeous detail everywhere you look. No spot has been overlooked. The staff was incredible and the entire space was exquisite. It was raining during my stay, but that was ok as I wanted to cherish every moment in my space. Were it not raining the area around the property offered walking trails, a pool, yoga areas and animals. I would absolutely consider returning to this venue and making day trips to surrounding areas. I don't want to ruin all the surprises, but I will say this was the perfect spot for the last night of my vacation.

It was an amazing experience, starting from our reception in the hotel, everything was flawless. The quality of the service and the attention to the details were impressive. As it was the day before the N. Sra. Fatima, and a lot of pilgrims were in the city and we got a lot of good recommendations from the staff, concerning places and activities. The place is comfortable and as the name says very charming hotel.

amazing thought through concept, full of charm and nice details. A place where you go and feel good, calm, relaxed. staff extremely nice and very good service. Excellent breakfast with fresh local products, giving the feeling that is prepared specifically for each guest. It is also possible to have dinner at the hotel but you cannot expect a wide variety in the menu, which for those staying and having dinner in the hotel for more than 2 days can be a challenge.

My husband and I stayed here for a night during our honeymoon in Portugal. We did a road trip through the country, so really appreciated this peaceful and serene stop for the night. We literally woke to the sound of birds chirping! The included breakfast was also divine, as was the couples massage we splurged for in the cave. Overall the service was great. My only suggestion is that I wish the hotel had done something a bit special to acknowledge our honeymoon or even offered ideas of things we could plan to make the trip unique. All the other hotels we stayed at across Portugal offered a little treat or upgrade to make our stay feel extra special, and based on the type of hotel that Luz is, I was a bit surprised they didnt personalize things. Other than that though, we had a great time!

One of the best places we have been during our stay in Portugal. Indeed boutique hotel with a lot of attention to all the details in the room. Big and cozy room, comfortable bed, great bathroom.Breakfast was very tasty with many fresh choices. Front desk is giving personal attitude form the first minute. Really loved this place.

I took my parents to Fatima for a pilgrimage and their 50th anniversary, and booked rooms at Luz Charming Houses. Unfortunately due to flight delays, we were unable to stay as planned. We still wanted to see Fatima and the chapel so we drove directly there after landed at the airport. The staff at Luz was so kind to allow us to freshen up and even held our luggage so that we wouldn’t have to keep it in the car (to avoid theft). They were so polite and helpful. We will definitely stay here if we ever have a chance to return to Fatima.

I slept like a baby ... the mattress was great and the pillows. I loved the grounds and uniqueness of the LUZ House. Overall LUZ is a great and interesting project. I would stay there again!

This place is amazing. When we told the girl at the registration we would be leaving early the next morning, she insisted on making us breakfast (items that did not need cooking). Great place to relax.
