The place was just adorable! It wasn’t a very large hotel, giving it an even special feel! The decoration were fabulous. We will definitely stay here again. Now some specifics: there was not a lot of room for clothing. We didn’t require it, but if you’re looking for space, not the place. No A/C or heating. We went in June/July and the weather was perfect. We didn’t need one. I don’t know if they do have them when it get hotter or colder, but for us, not needed. The staff was extremely helpful & extremely kind. Location was perfect! Less than 5 minutes away from all the action. Again, this place is just soooo cute!!!! Highly recommend it!

Comfortable and clean hotel, great shower, nice courtyard for sitting outside. Breakfast could use some help and the additional cost is not worth it. Lots of great, reasonably priced restairants in the area.

Locatiin is great. Clean and comfortable room. Paid for breakfasts which were not good. Low quality food and tasted stale, like it was made ahead and warmed up.

Grand Maria is conveniently located in the Centro about 3 blocks from the main square. It is clean, well maintained, and up-to-date. Geat tile shower with plenty of hot water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was of modest size, but comfortable.
The beds had plenty of blankets, perfect for the cool evenings in San Cristobal. A minor inconvenience was that the room was a little short on storage space (no dresser drawers). The in-hotel restaurant was very nice but higher priced than the many nearby restaurants.
Overall, highly recommended.

The experience was EXCELLENT! The customer service and the cleanliness was superb. I will be going back and staying for sure. The price was really affordable for everything that you get. The restaurant food and service was so good we just kept eating there.

Hotel Maria is in a nice location, not too far from Andera Guadalupe, the pedestrian walkway with shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, and just a little further to the square or park. The staff is great, very helpful and accommodating. The decor is generally very nice except for the sofas in the public sitting area or in your room but that's subjective, they don't match the decor and are not comfortable. The rooms were very clean and daily housekeeping is great too. We ate breakfast in the attached cafe, MorenaMaria as part of our package. It was ok but the menu is limited. Prices for breakfast in the area are about the same and you get better options if you go out.
One of the king sized rooms on the second floor has the bedroom in a loft. It was difficult for me to go up and down the loft stairs to use the restroom everytime. Also watching television requested me to lay in bed as the TV was mounted high up above the bed. Luckily, another king sized room was available where the bathroom was on a different level and we were able to switch rooms.
You will hear lots of music and talking but I'm pretty sure it's from the neighboring property. You will also get strong smells of food being cooked.
They booked us a taxi to the airport and also checked on the status of a FedEx package, actually running down to the office to check on the status.

The ambience was great. The staff friendly and helpful. I liked everything. I stayed for two days but a few days later needed to stop by San Cristobal again and picked the same hotel. I would go back again in the future.

Buen alojamiento las habitaciones son amplias y tranquilas, solo el desayuno deja que desear pero en general bien.

Very Well located next to most of turístic places. All Staff members very kind and corteous Spotless room and bathroom. Beds were kind of stiff, but ok. Very high speed internet working perfectlly. I would highly recommend this hotel for everyone. The only one thing is that Syctravel was sending me a lot of messages by phone and mail and even phone calls asking me to make the payement right away: that was disgusting at any time, but mostly at this time of pandemia, in which most of turistic companies are offering the payment at the moment of check in and a lot of time to make cancellations. I did not know that Syctravel would do this, otherwise I would have gotten another hotel as I already did to spend 4 more nights in this beautiful city.

Excellent stay. It exceeded our expectations in all regards. The lodging is really cozy and beautifully decorated, and the staff is always willing to help. The included breakfast is also reasonably yummy. The hotel is located really close to the most vibrant part of downtown, but just at the right distance for also have some peace and rest during all your stay. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful hotel with perfect location in San Cristibal. The hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated. Staff is helpful as well. However the experience was not as nice as expected because of the shower (had to wait for 5 min to get the hot water running, then it was difficult to adjust as it was changing from boiling hot to chill temp., its pressure was lowish to wach the hair) and breakfast (tastless scrambled egg with diluted orange juice).

Staff is very friendly, the place is clean and quiet. Very good location. The hotel is well maintained and nicely decorated.
Breakfast is poor. For 6 days we ate every morning few pieces of fruits, an omelet, few slices of toasted baguette and coffee or tea.

We stayed many days. Very quiet. Wonderful full breakfast. 2 minute walk to almost everything needed. Pictures are nice...hotel elegance even nicer. For us this hotel met all our needs...and we have traveled extensively in Mexico and Central America.
