Thank you to Ted and Carol for an amazing stay! Absolutely love this inn and the Adelaide room. Breakfast was more than I expected and it was a great time getting to know you and the other guests. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely amazing! Ted and Carol are some of the most wonderful hosts. The building and rooms are incredible. They offer many amenities, a full fridge to use for your leftovers, a mini fridge stocked full of drinks, a game room with over 50 DVDs, pool table, board games, you name it! They offer the most delicious spread of food the next day. Coffees, teas, and an elegant sit down Victorian style breakfast. We have no complaints, and would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a beautiful getaway.

OUTSTANDING!!! Could not have had better weather. The hosts were incredible and went out of their way to ensure everything was working. Thew room was excellent and the bed was so comfortable. The Breakfast was fabulous and very filling. As far as I could tell everything was beyond my expectations and i highly recommend that you check this place out, minutes from both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.

It is a very old home, which I love the charm, character and history. But everything is clean and where necessary, updated. They’ve infused so many lovely details into the room, I really enjoyed my stay.

Ted and Carol were so hospitable. Ted met us at the door and walked us around to make us feel right at home. Carol made goodies for us to snack on. The other guests were extremely friendly as well. Absolutely love the place!

Great cute little place tucked in between Mystic, Mohegan Sun, and Foxwoods. The hosts were great, the room was cozy, the grounds were relaxing and chill. Went with my fiance and dog ($35 dollar pet fee) and we had a blast. Ask about it being a haunted house!!! Our dog protected us! Such a relaxing time, would definitely consider rebooking.

The environment was a step back in time! The staff was beyond fabulous. The food was great and hospitality amazing. I was a little concerned with the media hype on ghosts but we had none. I would highly recommend Captain Grant’s 1754 and truly hope to get back there again and bring my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart❤️

Loved Carol, Ted and all the staff. Very welcoming homey feel and the breakfast was delightful. The rooms are cute and cozy. Loved learning about the history. I will be back. Grounds are beautiful.

Fabulous house! I felt like I was back in time. Wonderful wood floors and authentic ceilings beams. Owners had sherry in our room and plenty of towels. Such wonderful hosts. We had a ball, we went to a nearby winery and had wine by the fireplace listening to live music and watching the sundown. I felt I was inside a painting. Everyone was wonderful after that we went to Mystic for a great dinner at Captain Daniel Parker 1800’s restaurant. When we finished 10 minutes later we were at Mohegan Sun for playing and drinks! Marvelous night and next morning even better -a breakfast with the owners. Great conversation, lovely couple. So happy to meet them!

We arrived late, but I was surprised there was not a note around to let us know who to call or where to go. No reception area.
The place had a nostalgic feeling. We felt a vibe or eerie feeling as soon as we got there.
We left & came back & we still felt uncomfortable about sleeping there. A feeling came over us & we decided to leave. We were disappointed about it.
Your husband was nice. It had nothing to do with him.
We just felt creeped.

Our hosts Carol and Ted are wonderful. The B & B is amazing, breakfast phenomenal and the house is fantastic with all its ghost stories . Will definitely go back !!

We had such a great time at this spooky old B&B. We were fortunate enough to have the whole place to ourselves which added to the spooky haunted feel. My husband and younger son did hear footsteps going up the stair to the game room while they were playing pool, but no one was there. The employees were to kind! We didn't get to meet the owners as they were on their own vacation, but we will definitely be back so hopefully we can meet them at a future visit. We highly recommend this place!!

Given room outside of main house, not vacuumed, tops of bedside table not cleaned, airconditioner old and dirty, SEVERE CAT URINE smell in room when air conditioner was turned off. Mouse in main house kitchen, entrance to other house with our room was back door to an old building and not kept up.

It was a bed-and-breakfast styled after the 1750s. Everything about it was unique. It was romantic, mysterious, and wonderfully friendly.

The house is a very nice piece of history, that has been well preserved. The owners are very nice, and have an interesting story. The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
