It took a long time to be greeted even after dialing the number for service. Once greeted it was discovered that the room wasn’t ready at 4pm with check in being at 3pm. The desk clerk stated “no one wanted to clean rooms”, she had on gloves as if she had been preparing rooms. The room was clean but there was no bedspread on the bed.

Horrible. Dirty. Fire alarms went off 6 times first night in the middle of the night and twice the second night. All other occupants live in the hotel. Do not recommend.

The toilet seat was broken and just slid to the side. Wasn't very clean. There was no remote for the tv and no staff around and the front desk was closed so couldn't even use the TV. Had to wait for staff to take a personal phone call before they could check us in.

Arrived an hour after check-in, room still not ready. No idea when it would be so I asked if we could at least drop our bags and use the restroom. No. Jokingly asked if I should find a bush and he said that he would. Told them to call when ready, after an hour I went in and it was finally ready. Out of key cards so gave me a quarter sized key fob. Restroom right inside behind check-in I could've used, floor in room was still soaking wet, light over sink was broken and sitting on the toilet. Terrible stay.

Couldn’t check in as room wasn’t ready at 15:00, told to come back after the event we were in town for. Came back later rooms still weren’t cleaned and had been double booked. Had to find a different hotel. Experience was worst hotel experience have ever had.

But car got broken into and no cameras even though there is a sign saying there is.
Was told to make a police report and the property insurance would cover what was stolen but that hasnt happened.

The property is buried in a run down neighborhood. We never checked in because there were so many trashy people hanging out in the parking lot that I didn't feel my car would be safe. People sitting outside drinking and smoking pot. Music playing loud from parked cars.

The hotel is close to the stadiums, but there’s little sidewalks, dangerous & unstable terrain. My son joined us later. When we got back from the game I wanted to get a rollaway. The front desk was closed with a wooden roller shade. I came down & knocked on the shade, because the phone in our room was broke. The night auditor, on the other side of the shade, said you have to use the phone. I told her I tried, that the phone in my room wasn’t working! She said the phone on the wall. Without her direction, I finally found it. Through an automated voice, and prompts, I finally got a real person. The lady said the front desk is closed, that whatever you reserved is what you got. I told her that my son unexpectedly showed up later, that we only have one double bed in our room. That can’t accommodate 3 people! It was challenging to understand her through her accent, but I asked if I can’t get a rollaway, can I at least get another pillow & blanket so my son can sleep on the hard floor. She again said that what’s on your reservation is what you get. I informed her that I worked at hotels for over 10 years, and have never treated my guests like this! She then said she’ll ask the front desk if any are available. She came back and said someone will bring down a blanket & pillow, to wait in the lobby. Someone eventually came down from an upper floor and got us a blanket & pillow. The Security Guard even brushed me off, saying I had to use the phone.

The hotel was not clean, smelled like marijuana, our room was not ready at check-in time (3 PM) and we were told that we could leave for the event we were in town for at 5 PM (room still not ready) and come back to check-in afterwards. We were told our room would be ready and that we wouldn’t get a late check-in fee. When we got back to the hotel no one was there and they had a sign posted “At this time we have no vacancies. You will be refunded. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Absolutely unacceptable that this happened to many others as well. My 10 yo son and I had to drive 3 hours to find a hotel with vacancy to let us check in at 4 AM so we could get a few hours of sleep before we finished the last 4 hours of our drive back home. The hotel we ended up staying at was double the cost of the hotel we booked in Kansas City. Do not stay at this dump.

I wish I could leave more than one star, but I can’t. Friday I was in town with a friend for the Morgan Wallen concert. We went to check in at 3 on Friday and were told rooms still weren’t ready and wouldn’t be for another 30-45 minutes. We were okay with that, we just asked if we could check in after the concert and the guy at the front desk said we could with no problems. After the concert, we drove to the hotel to check in, once there, no one was at the front desk and there was a sign saying “no vacancies, you will be refunded”. My friend and I were stuck with no room and this point and ended up having to drive back to Iowa due to no other hotels have rooms. A email or call would’ve been nice so we could’ve figured out something else while waiting in the traffic, instead we didn’t find out anything until after getting back to the hotel. Still have not been refunded either so that’s great.

We had a reservation several weeks in advance. When we arrived on Friday, August 2nd at 3:00 p.m., we were told that the cleaning staff had just showed up so no rooms were ready and it would be several hours and they would not check us in until the rooms were ready. There were probably 20 or more people trying to check in so they could get ready for a concert at Arrowhead. Everyone ended up in the parking lot trying to change clothes, fix hair, makeup, etc. When we came back after the concert (a little after midnight), we were informed that the hotel was oversold and that we did not have a room. They stated that they were oversold by 11 rooms. There were no hotels available in the KC area so we ended up driving all through the night to get back home. This leads to two questions: 1. How does a hotel not have a backup plan when their housekeeping staff doesn't show up or calls in sick? Any good manager would be in there cleaning the rooms themselves before they default on 20+ bookings. 2. How does a hotel oversell 11 rooms? If you are a car salesman, do you promise the same car to 3 different people and just wait to see who shows up first? It is very obvious that there are serious management issues at this hotel. The staff that was onsite was very frustrated with the lack of support they were receiving. I am very certain that there are at least 11 customers that will never consider staying at this dump again.

We went to check in at 8:00 p.m. and there was nobody at the desk, just a note that said SOLD OUT they were overbooked and pre-paid reservations will be refunded. What we did see in the lobby/front desk the hotel is not clean, bugs on the floor and men standing outside eyeing our vehicle.

I arrived early at 1:45 pm I talked to reception and I was told to wait until check in time at 3pm. Understandable. I waited until 4 outside with my 4 children. I went back inside at 4 and I was told to still wait as rooms were not clean. I waited until 5:15pm and I was getting upset til the guy in reception informed me that third parties overbooked and there was no rooms. 😡after all the wait. We ended up sleeping in my car😡as I was unable to find anything. It truly was a nightmare experience. Also people walking in and out. Poop everywhere outside from doors and people smoking everywhere 😡

The staff were amazing and really attentive from the minute we checked in to when we checked out early. Like the only thing that really killed our time there and why we checked out early was due to the few bugs we found in our room. It really just threw us off because the room was just cleaned and everything but then we came back and as soon as we opened the door there were 2 bugs running under the fridge and then a few more on the walls and bathroom.
Thankfully the staff was super understanding and we were able to check out and got a refund for our stay.

This was awful. The beds are terrible, there were bugs thoughout, and the shower did not work. The water out the tub faucet was a trickle, tried to fill the tub for 30 minutes, after realizing the shower didnt work, there was only about 3 inches in the bottom. We tried to address this with front counter, but fhere was no one there at 2am (when we found the second bug in the bathroom), or even at 8am when we left. The booking said there was grab an go breakfast, nothing, not even coffee anywhere, including the room. I would like a refund on my stay please.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. As soon as we got to our room, we found there was no hand soap in the bathroom and had to leave to go try and buy some (on Christmas Eve after 10pm). As soon as we got back, we weren't in the room for more than 10 mintues before finding THREE cockroaches in the kitchenette and bathroom. The front desk was closed so I had to call the emergency maintenance line, who didn't apologize. They put us in a new room down the hall but we still felt uneasy because if you see one cockroach, there's hundreds you don't see. Sure enough, the next morning, another cockroach scuttled across the bathroom floor. I told the main desk before leaving for the game and they were very apathetic. No offers to switch rooms again or refund. The hotel itself was just dirty and had foul smells everywhere you went. Beds were small and extremely uncomfortable. Front desk was nearly always empty. Went to leave and an employee asked how our stay was. We mentioned the bugs and she scoffed at us "well sorry" and seemed annoyed. All employees made themselves scarce whenever I mentioned the bugs and were unwilling to do anything to try and fix the situation. I'm very displeased with the lack of cleanliness and customer service. Two nights for nearly $300 is NOT worth it and I regret not finding a different hotel.

Lets start with basic customer service, lets just say the reception is luke warm at best. Followed by a lie to tell me they would call me when my room was ready. After a 30 min wait longer than what i was told was the expected time i check in which was a snail like pace considering the line behind me.
I then proceed to my room which was indeed not even close to ready as housekeeping was still there. So back to the cheerful reception desk, no apology,

We arrived at the hotel before the KCC game and they told us Expedia overbooked and they didn’t have a room for us. They did say they could get us a room at another one of their locations 15 mins away. After the game was over we went to the Colorado Ave location and upon arrival had to wait 15-20 mins for them to come and give us a room. Upon entering the room there were roaches crawling everywhere hence we left there and found another hotel down the road. Lesson learned never book through Expedia and never stay at an Extended Stays America.

The first night we arrived at 0300. The night time staff was friendly and accommodating. I did however find a live roach crawling on the floor and killed it. The beds were fairly comfortable. Nastiest Hotel ever. Once the attendant showed me the room, and we, along with the attendant saw cockroaches all around the sink and a dirty bedspread, I did not check in and the attendant canceled my reservation. I want my money back. I paid over $200 for a disgusting nothing.

The beds were glorified cots and they didn’t have a double room for us so ended up splitting our family in to two rooms. The smell was horrendous in the rooms and the hallways. We had roaches on our kitchen counter in the morning crawling on our stuff.
