When we checked into the room the sheets were very dirty with fresh stains. They hadnt been changed. The place is very noisy due to traffic outside.

Not a hotel for families to stay. Small room with sleeping facilities are bad. Food is nothing great. Definitely not comi g here again. Not worth the money I paid.

The staff did not show how to use to and SC.room for ,2 one coffee one milk ,one cup and no teaspoon. Not very courteous staff.not ride but not welcoming.Disappointrd

This hotel is not suitable for tourists at all. It is located on the main road and very noisy. The windows are not sound proof guests comfort is seriously overlooked. I don’t understand how you Expedia has the audacity to market this hotel in the first place.

I was initially happy to have stayed in Hotel The Nook about 1km away from the train station, as it was still very easy / quick to get into central Madurai ( I love walking everywhere) but much more quiet and away from groups of tourists. The staff were friendly and efficient and my room was very comfortable. Wi-fi, however, was very slow and patchy and when I mentioned this - esp as its more of a business hotel - the answer was simply that as it was the end of the month, they must have used all their data and it would be better at the start of the next month. Not really the response I was looking for nor helpful considering I was departing the next day. What then happened was, as I was rushing to check out to make a sleeper train, they asked me for payment. I thought I had pre-paid via Expedia and told them this but didnt have time to go searching in my phone for the booking details (plus, as wi-fi didnt work, I couldnt access this information regardless!). I have consequently found out that indeed I had paid Expedia and so ended up double paying for the accommodation. Very displeased. I am now in talks with Expedia to get my money back.

An initial difficulty with the state of the room was resolved efficiently and courteously. Professional courteous staff. Excellent restuarant. Reasonable pricing. First class facilities and very clean.
