Meh, good distance to the ocean and beach. The floors needed a good mopping, walking around barefoot in the room my feet turned black. Shower was much different and much smaller than the pictures shown during booking. One of the bed side lamps didn't even reach an outlet nor was plugged in. Not bad overall. Curtains on sliding glass door should be bigger. People can see in, not very private.

Read of many complaints was unsure but our stay was fine. One issue arose and they were able to move us to a different room. All staff we inter faced with were excellent. Appears repairs and upgrades being done. Pool was open during our stay on 8/23/24

Booked 2 double studio rooms in the Manor House building for a family vacation. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The building having an elevator is an added bonus. The pool and closeness to beach makes Seal Latch very family friendly.

First, hotel pictured on Hotels.com site is not the hotel or room you get. The main hotel rooms are very nice. They also have adjacent property which is where we were placed. Our tiny room had an exit that was very steep and certainly not to code. There was no chair in room and only one chair in front of unit. Unit comes with refrigerator and microwave. The location is very nice and you can cross street and be on the beach. The staff is very helpful and got us a coffee pot that worked. I was meeting family and thought we would be together but we were not even in same building.

We encountered we're really helpful but we had to ask for towels and we're never offered a cleaning service during our week-long stay. We had a hard time finding people in the office to get towels from and when we asked the staff it appeared they weren't allowed to just give them to us. It was very disheartening to find out that the pool was not in operation because that is one of the reasons we've chosen to stay at this hotel. The ice machine was constantly broken and the answer was always that the other hotel has a pool and the other hotel has ice. We may give them another shot next year but I'll definitely be checking around

The room I booked was not available. They showed us 2 other rooms that had no balcony, which is what I had paid for. The third room was satisfactory but the refrigerator didn’t work and we could not connect the tv to WiFi. The picture on Hotels.com of the room , we were told, was of the Manor House but I booked in the Suites building.

Location is great. Service was great- we had an issue with a toilet flushing which was promptly repaired. The kitchenette was stocked with dishes which was helpful. Pool was nice. Place is older with some wear and tear but was clean and overall this place was a very good value.

I do not have the time right now to write how terrible this stay was. TV not working, screen door fell off the track, the cheap adirondak chairs on the balcony of which one totally broke when my brother sat in it, non-responsive front desk that talks about you in a different language when you are waiting at desk. Dirty walls, floors, filthy fans and two hangers in a three bedroom. However, believe it or not, this is not the worst part. The worst part is the consultant Clark and the owner lying to your face about what they already promised. We had planned to stay from July 3rd to July 7th, at check in we were brought to an apartment overlooking the beach. I made the booking and knew this wasn't the room, the girl who showed it to me (long hair with acne) said "we upgraded you." No problem there, we were thrilled. The property was obviously undergoing some growing pains so we chalked it up to that. For the most part our stay at the Sea Latch was very good with a few exceptions. When we arrived at approximately 9:30 pm after traveling all day, our room had been given to someone else (we had a two room suite) we were told we could get into our room at 11:30 the next day after it was vacated and cleaned. We also had trouble with getting our room cleaned. We were not aware at first we had to stick a sign on our door for service. We were not told about this. Even when we did use the sign our room wasn’t cleaned. In a total of an eight night stay (7 I guess excluding the night we traded rooms) our room was only cleaned twice. Other times we had to track down cleaning people or go to the front desk in order to get fresh towels and toilet paper. Our room was nice and roomy and had a small kitchenette along with a nice balcony which we enjoyed. Close to several beaches and places to eat. All of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. My only other recommendation for The Sea Latch is to clean up their grounds area. It was very unkept with weeds growing everywhere and if they fixed up the grounds area it would make the entire place much more appealing. Had i made reservations based on the look of the building from seeing it onsite i would have chosen one of the more manicured places nearby. Pride of appearance is important in places like this.

I have stayed before and the manor house is always nice and the rooms very clean. The only thing is that it’s not secured in anyway anyone can come in and out. As a solo female traveler I would feel better in a secured building and the ability to put an extra lock on once in the room. I brought my own so no big deal. Staff was very nice and accommodating it’s an awesome location.

I have always wanted to stay at York Beach but it gets quite pricy. The off season made it so I could afford it. That also brings fewer staff. I did not mind that I did not see any staff. Check in and check was simply done via a note on the office door. They did have an emergency number as well as a number for services. It made it feel like I owned the place. I did not see many other guests either. I sat on the balcony watching the waves drinking coffee and it was serene. If I come back in off season, I know I will be staying here again.

It smelled like marijuana a fair amount of time. The rooms were clean enough. The rugs definitely could use a deep clean and the beds weren’t very comfortable. You can’t beat the location though

My room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Everything was up to date. The coffee and toiletries were well supplied. The staff was very accommodating to my needs, letting me check in early and letting me stay in the same room for 2 nights, even though I had booked two separate rooms. Beth was always upbeat, friendly and helpful.The view of the ocean was spectacular. I really enjoyed my stay at Sea Latch.

They did a really nice job upgrading the room and redoing the bathrooms, they are very cozy. Every room has a partial sea view from the side balcony, and it is right on Long Sands beach. The only issues are being a bit noisy, beds a bit hard, and having to be careful of traffic rushing through the parking area (not the fault of the establishment). Overall a very pleasant and economical, stay.

I’m sure since it was off season things aren’t kept up with the same but we had a much better experience over the summer. There was hair in the shower and drain that hadn’t been cleaned and the towels didn’t all look clean.

The checkin was super easy, the room was very nice, clean and comfortable.. very nice.. the only problem I had was late at night there was a big bang from the floor above me and then lots of noise of someone banging around and some kind of motor like a hot tub or jacuzzi jets running off and on most of the night.. with the noises from above I didn’t get much sleep.. but otherwise was very nice..

Horrible experience. No heat, the lights outside the door were like the sun shining in all night long. (Photo included) The curtains on the storm door did little to keep that light out. I woke at 2:30am and thought it was morning. Stayed a week and not ince did they service the room. The showers have no shelves so all your soap and shampoo has to go on the shower floor. No dressers. Small smart tv with no service, just a roku. We had to sign into our netflix account. There’s a swastika out front on the fake fire pit. Never again. To bad that great location is ruined by a completely garbage experience.

Upon entering the room there was an overwhelming odor of chlorine bleach. Due to the temps leaving the room open was not an option.
