I always stay here when I'm in Morehead city. It's quiet and lowkey but within walking distance of waterfront, restaurents and shops.

Our suite was very large with a huge kitchen. Great city view this time. Very reasonable rate. The TV remote was clumsy, a minor point.

Gem of a hotel. Felt like home. Rooms were clean and spacious.

There was a ride staff member when I first arrived but she was the only one, the rest of the staff couldn't have been any more nice & helpful. The room was clean, the arena was quiet. I would come back to stay whenever I'm in the area.

Great room. Loud air conditioner. No pool. Great location.

Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Hotel suite was perfect with an amazing view.

On site snacks were stale. All of the construction around the hotel is not appealing. Staff was great and rooms are gorgeous.

We had a very nice waterfront suite on the 7th floor. Excellent views to go along with most of the comforts of home. Not to mention very close in walking distance to a bunch of good restaurants!

Only stayed for one night but the bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet.

This is a great place to stay, great service clean rooms right by the water. Two little piers to fish off of and close to the local beaches. Every single staff member is phenomenal!!

We enjoyed our visit and had a great time wondering around the town and enjoyed the fresh fish and various fresh foods at several of the restaurants in the area. We toured the town and surrounding beaches and were happy to see very clean conditions and surf. Great atmosphere for families. The local community was very friendly. Enjoyed the fireworks too!

The room and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was so-so. It was delivered to our room cold. I think the best solution should be to offer whether or not you want a meal and charge for each meal, not include it in the price of the room.

Have to remember to submit breakfast card nightly which is dumb. They also charged me for parking when I didn’t have a car with me. Also since suites share floor with basic rooms some idiot for two nights cooked a disgusting seafood dish that made the whole floor reek

The Bask Hotel is a great choice if you are staying in Morehead City. The rooms are very clean and everything is a short walk away, whether that’s headed to the pier or heading out for food. The staff were friendly and prompt to greet us upon check-in; the lobby is large and tidy. The rooms are well kept and spacious. We chose a suite room with a water view and weren’t disappointed. It was super nice with a full kitchen and large living room in addition to a spacious room and bathroom. Beautiful views and nice size balconies round out the experience. Only two things quickly to note: 1) The balconies are lovely, but we had a weird experience with little finches getting caught between the concrete of the balcony edge and the gap between the clear plexiglass. We ended up rescuing 2 birds in the same morning, so hoping that doesn’t happen frequently. Poor birds. 😩 2) The breakfast is a bit sparse and comes off as somewhat cheap. Lovely to have it delivered to your room, but the portions were super tiny and pretty sparse overall. I would’ve preferred a traditional continental breakfast. Minor quibble but ultimately does matter in guest satisfaction overall. Overall a really nice hotel, good location and very clear with a few quirks.

Amazing one-off hotel in Morehead! Quick 10 minute drive from Atlantic beach, savings are definitely worth it compared to oceanfront properties. Still, there’s a view of the inlet, so there’s not much of a compromise! Easy parking, amazingly friendly staff, spacious & clean rooms; there is literally nothing to complain about!

Everything was excellent

Excellent location! Great staff and service. Their gym have bikes that you can ride around. Beautiful view of the river.

The customer service was stellar, the room very clean and smelled amazing as well as having our breakfast delivered to the room as a basic service; and coffee was available 24/7. There was construction around the outside of the bldg and found a bug in the room but because of the fantastic service and room none of that even mattered.

Coming to Morehead City (mostly for work though) in and out of season now for 3, 4 years. Started out with the Bask then more by accident but since always booked there. The friendliness of the staff (don’t know of many hotels where repeat customers are recognized by name at time of arrival), the spaciousness of the rooms and proximity to multiple restaurants makes this a place to go, especially as a starting point to the OBX, for fishing or diving tours. With their present undergoing expansion it def will be also a wedding reception place with the beautiful view over the Big Rock inlet.

This hotel was in a great location! Staff was friendly especially the guy at the front desk ( drew?) upon arriving to our room, we saw a potato chip on the floor, big in our room but it didn’t really bother us too much because the hotel was older. We were visiting for a friends birthday with no big expectations. The entire area is very friendly and nice but not great if you’re looking to have a good time and party. It’s definitely old school. Hotel was okay overall.

We travel a lot and this was a wonderful experience. The rooms are very spacious, beautiful, and clean. We loved that breakfast was brought to your door. This place is awesome.

Great location. Bikes were fun to ride. Catch 109 is a great restaurant. Everything was great except AC in room was noisy all trip. But great hotel staff and gave me a birthday card upon arrival.

Stunning views of the intercoastal and ocean. Clean and Comfortable accommodations. Beautiful hotel - we look forward to returning

What made this trip enjoyable was that I was there celebrating my 28th wedding anniversary with my husband. This was our 3rd year at the BASK and we never had any issues and always loved it, until this year. Unfortunately, we had an issue with roaches in room 404 and we had to store everything in the refrigerator. Front desk stated that they would send someone to spray the next day but we were checking already checking out the next morning. The front desk clerk and Tiffany were very understanding and sympathetic to the problem and Tiffany even gave us a free night stay for the inconvenience.
