Our stay was great once we were able to check in. Our stay in the houseboat was very nice.
4.7
We had a fantastic time. The accommodations were very unique and we enjoy them greatly! The only negative thing was that it did rain a lot one day and the roor leaked a little. But besides that everything was great and we enjoyed our stay completely.
4.7
Wonderful weekend trip! Will definitely return. Staff was super helpful with advice about things to do while visiting.

Absolutely beautiful!
Cant wait to come back and stay here again.

Loved it here!! Aimee reached out to us ahead of time to make sure we understood all of their policies, and find out if we would be checking in late or not, and then confirmed with a phone call the day of. The houseboat was clean, with a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink, dishes). A/C was already going!
The towels were brand new and the view was exactly what we were looking for- a calm, peaceful marina with gentle waves lapping at the docks and the sunset on full display. Walking distance to the Blonde Giraffe Key Lime Factory, and a short drive to the Winn-Dixie. Plenty of places to eat nearby, or well equipped to eat a quiet meal in. Definitely will recommend to friends and family!

Loved being on the houseboat for a few days! Houseboat itself was great, sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the water the best. Highly recommend.

The house boat has a good location, located at the end of the dock however it does serve as a buffer for high winds and wavy seas so you will experience a lot more than other houseboats located interior to this one. Also, you’re basically in a tin can as far as the walls where you can hear everything and all the neighbors can hear you. We do like all the separate living spaces and how they are utilized really nicely. Decker is up-to-date and amenities provided inside of the houseboat are what you would expect. We did have issues initially connecting the TV in the evening time to get it working properly, but Aimee the manager was easy to get a hold of after hours and talk to us through getting everything working properly. We are a family of four with two teenagers and had plenty of space to put our two teams in the loft area that has twin beds and for us to stay in the bedroom and during the daytime enjoy the living area when we were actually in the houseboat and not driving around the sightseeing.

Nice houseboat. Iffy WIFI.

This property appears to be going downhill. They advertise a restaurant and bar, but there is no restaurant and the bar only has beer (no set hours.) The people who live there year round on their boats are super nice but other than that it appears to need new management. The bar owner speaks no English and was playing really nasty music, which was blaring through the pool and had no clue what he was even playing. It could be super nice if the restaurant/bar were opened and new mgmt. It appears to be family owned and distention among the family members.

At first everyone was a littler on edge and after we got to know everyone they became much like family.

Very nice property.
Very relaxing

Absolutely one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The houseboat experience was above my expectations !!

People were so nice there

Property manager Mike was so helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable
4.7
Great little spot! Checkin and checkout was a breeze, pillows were great, amenities were stocked, AC worked like a charm, and every single person we met was SO NICE! Don’t forget to stop by their tiki bar. What a gem!
4.7
This is a hidden gem. Mike is so easy to work with and so kind and helpful. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. I highly recommend this to everyone! Our houseboat had everything we needed. It was extremely spacious.
4.7
A unique experience. Stayed in the sand dollar. Perfect.
But next time will do a bigger houseboat or leave dogs with family.
4.7
We had a great time staying in the houseboats! Such a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone! The boat was equipped with everything one would need, the back dock and deck area were wonderful.
4.7
Our stay was surprisingly comfortable… we wanted something different and this was great….

I was so nervous about staying on a houseboat. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. We were all so pleasantly surprised with everything about it! The houseboat itself was fabulous. It was pristine! Cleaner than any of the hotels I’ve stayed in down here that were supposed to be 4 and 5 stars. Down the road, walking distance, is a shopping center with a movie theater, grocery, restaurants, pharmacy… as if you were on the mainland! Can’t beat that kind of location. Super local feel with a shopping center at the stop light down the road.
If you enjoy being on the water, you’ll love this. It had all the comforts of home and then some. The manager, Mike, was as nice as could be and accommodating with a late check out. We didn’t want to leave. It’s a working marina so there are lots of locals and everyone was so friendly. This has just become our go to weekend getaway. We will definitely be back! Loved loved loved this place and everything about it!
Thanks Mike!

Perfect location, love staying on the houseboat. Everyone is very friendly and laid back

We stayed on the Sea biscuit house boat on the bay side the view was amazing we spent every morning and evening on the back deck enjoying the view. We will be coming back next year

We loved our stay at Mangrove Marina. Our houseboat was clean and well - equipped. This was our first visit to Key Largo, and we thought the location was central to where we wanted to eat and visit. Everyone at the marina was super friendly, which added to the enjoyment.

We hadn't been to the Keys in years and decided to try something different by staying on a houseboat for our 5 night vacay instead of a big building hotel. We're so glad we did!
We chose the Grey Lady because we needed the room for 5 adults (2 couples, one single). We had the BEST time! It was really nice to have all the space to spread out our stuff and relax and having 2 bathrooms for the 5 of us was wonderful. We were able to save considerable money on dining out by meal planning and fixing our own meals in the kitchenette on the boat. Absolutely loved the view we were able to enjoy within the marina, even got to see a couple of horseshoe crabs!
Mike Clarke, the Resort Manager for the houseboats, ensured we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, before and during our stay. He returned pre-travel phone calls within 24 hours and provided friendly and detailed instructions for checking in after hours (it was 11p when we arrived). He checked with us our first day to make sure we were happy with our houseboat and answer any questions or requests. Got to chat with him a couple times during our stay (he lives on site). It's easy to see he truly wants people to enjoy their stay and he works to make it happen.
The front office personnel always greeted us with a smile, everyone was friendly and happy to answer our questions.
We're definitely going to take another family vacay at Mangrove Marina and stay in a houseboat! Gonna try to make it happen before Jun 2024.

I reluctantly agreed to try out the houseboat experience at my husband's urging and I am so happy I did. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the deck right on the water.
I have to say that Michael was an amazing manager. He was very responsive to all our requests and spent a lot of time showing us the different houseboats. Our houseboat was a little small for us and now that we have seen the other houseboats, we know which one to pick for our next visit.
I also loved the community at the marina. We met several people who lived on their boats and they were all friendly and seemed to have each others backs.
We are definitely going back -
Thank you for your hospitality Mike.

New houseboat experience for us. We weren’t sure what to expect for our houseboat stay as this was new to us. First, the staff is fantastic, friendly, so helpful with anything needed. Staff gets 5 stars! Second, the houseboat location was fine but the unit itself could use some updating and TLC. The bedding was comfortable to sleep and we enjoyed sitting on the topside deck for sunset. The living room couch needs replacing as it was not very comfortable and could use a small coffee table or an ottoman to put your feet up. The bar and food service is not operating at the moment and would have been nice to grab a cocktail at the marina. The showering was suggest for hot showers and to use hair dryers to be done in the outdoor shower area which is at the end of the dock. Something we aren’t used to but hey, it was like marina camping and a new experience. Maybe not our cup of tea but we still had fun and will remember fondly! Thirdly, they were dog friendly and found almost everywhere we went in the keys was dog friendly. That was something we appreciated!
Lastly, Mike the manager was a super nice guy and alway around asking how we were doing and helpful to recommend places. We also saw a shark, and crocodiles from the docks. If you want a unique experience that is not fancy, but very clean, give the Aqua Lodge Houseboats a try! It’s the Keys, why not!

Check-in was easy. Mike at the resort showed us our houseboat. He asked if it was okay or if we wanted another available houseboat. (We stayed with the one we picked, Captain's Quarters.) The houseboat was well stocked with any items we could have needed. This was so very relaxing. The gentle swaying of the boat on the water, the sounds of the water splashing against the sides. Oh boy, now I want to live on a houseboat!

very good, quiet, good experience

Staying on the boat was amazing. You have streaming services, little kitchenette with all needed supplies, 2 double en 2 single comfy beds and bathroom with shower. The only comment I have, is that the curtains aren't obscuring so you better bring eye patches
4.7
Really cool staying in a house boat. We spent the week scuba diving and nights on the house boat. Was clean and tidy, we slept great. Onsite restaurant and bar was under construction. Did not use the pool. Overall it was a great experience.
4.7
We stayed on the Manatee and it was perfect for our group. Plenty of space to sprawl out, full sized shower was a plus! Top of the boat was awesome for unwinding after a full day of activities and watching the sun set. The pool area was great!
4.7
Clean well lit up

We had such a wonderful on the houseboat. It was very clean and has all cooking utensils. Close location to Winn Dixie for grocery shopping. There was lots of fish and jelly fish we can see off the deck.

Top Notch

We loved the place. We will definitely be back!!

It was just as described and a super fun adventure for the kids. It’s not the ritz of course but the pool and folks in the marina were great.
There is no fishing allowed so my little one was a bit bummed about that fyi
4.7
It was a nice and different experience instead of typical hotel or condo. The only downfall was that boat was leaning quite a bit and the water noise hitting the stern was too loud to sleep at night. Overall I really enjoyed the stay as we need to see different things in life and this was one of them. Next time I will stay in Grey Lady. Thanks.
4.7
The house boat was clean and super cute. Location is great. Love the little food truck and bar on site. Showers were hot too!! Only complaint was not getting our requested housekeeping items the day we asked for them. It seemed like it was not a priority to anyone. I had to follow up multiple times the next day too. Would definitely again though. Wish the rooftop was open but I guess they put a new AC on top

Renting a houseboat was a big stretch for us but the pictures looked beautiful and I love the water so we thought we would take the “plunge”. Just as an FYI, I tend to be a princess from NYC and I never would ever go camping so when I was told I had to go to the pool bathrooms to use my hair dryer I panicked. But all fear was gone once we were introduced to our houseboat. It was so cozy and welcoming. The view of the bay was spectacular day and night. There was an upstairs that you can do some tanning or sit downstairs to read or just watch the boats go by. We couldn’t be more excited when we say dolphins swim by our boat and the last day we saw 4 manatees! That really made the stay perfect. There’s no daily cleaning services but that wasn’t a problem. If you need anything just ask Mike or one of the cleaners. The one thing that I wish was on the boat was a full length mirror. I never knew what I looked like when I went out. Please Mike, we need a full length mirror! Mike the manger was a sweetie! There are great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Most places were between a 3-15 minute drive away. If you have any doubt about renting, go ahead and book it. It was fabulous! We’ll definitely be back!
