Restaurant was not open at noon, lunch time, on a Monday! Couldn't get an iced coffee or a sandwich...Very unusual - restaurants, especially this one, should be open for lunch.

WiFi is terrible, and you have to pay for everything, no water in the room, even a small bottle of water will charge you 6 US dollars

The owner and his staff make this the best place to stay on Anguilla.

Staff is incredible, restaurant is great, rooms are beautiful, everything about it is wonderful.

It was low season for Anguilla so I’m sure that had something to do with the service I received. I think we were 2 of maybe 4 guests. The service was slow and unfriendly. The bed was a little hard and the A/C had a hard time cooling the room. First world problems for sure!

The staff was so nice and helpful. The food was amazing! The grounds are so unique and beautiful! Highly recommend

We had an amazing stay at Serenity Cottages. We did need to upgrade to a 1 bedroom to have the balcony on the beach, and it was worth it! The view was amazing, the grounds and buildings were kept spotless, and the service was excellent. It was quiet and relaxing, and could not ask for more.

I really enjoyed my stay at Serenity Cottages. The staff there was great and provided excellent service. I met the owner, Kenneth, and enjoyed talking with him. The check-in procedure was definitely unique…there was no front desk. Jackie met me in the parking area and walked me up to my room. She showed me where everything was and gave me the room key. She was also the server and bartender at dinner that night. The food there was also excellent. I was there over Easter weekend, the end of their busy season, so there weren’t many guests there. So we received the best service. I highly recommend Serenity Cottages for a stay at Anguilla.

We really enjoyed our stay at the very quiet end of Shoal Bay. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and the staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The view from the restaurant is spectacular! We would certainly recommend serenity cottages.

Loved the relaxing atmosphere. The pristine white sand
and clear blue green waterwaves were to choppy to enter the water.

Large rooms, great staff (Jackie, Kenneth, Fransista), great food, peaceful

This is a lovely, out of the way, seaside retreat, surrounded by tropical gardens. The best rooms are in the front with large terraces and a view of the water. The atmosphere is old world, charming and quiet. The restaurant is excellent, as is the service. The only drawback is that the small beach in front of the hotel is not usable now, but an 8 minute walk along the water takes you to the most beautiful beach on the island.

Comfortable room and quiet. Beautiful gardens, especially many Desert Roses.

Lovely beach but narrow- need to walk to other beaches to swim
Rooms too dark - not much outside space to sit

Crew stayed there over holiday no complaints.
Rate that was quoted on hotels.com was not what was charged to my credit card.

Our room was clean and the property is really quiet in general. The staff were very friendly. However, our room could use a little TLC. The safe was inoperable. There was a broken table lamp in the bedroom. The cabinets in the kitchen are starting to de-laminate. In addition, we were surprised to see that the beach bar is totally closed and in general their beach is badly eroded. The erosion obviously isn't the fault of the property owners but they should update their website to be more accurate. Their restaurant closed by 7:00PM and when we showed up for breakfast at 8:30 it wasn't open yet. So basically it just became a place to sleep at night. For what we paid we were expecting more.

The architectural design of the buildings and rooms is very well done. The location at the end of Shoal Bay East beach is secluded and beautiful. The AC, hot water, WiFi, safe and bed were good. The restaurant and bar are nice. The beach area at the resort is very small but the chairs and umbrellas are good. Shoal Bay Beach connects to the resort beach for long secluded walks that lead to more populated beach restaurants and bars. You may get legs wet below the knees since the beach is not very wide. Snorkeling is very nice at the resort and along Shoal Bay Beach with lots of colorful small fish and rays. The resort can arrange car rental. Room furnishing are a little old. TV only gets few channels. Resort seems best for those looking for a quiet secluded place with a beautiful private stretch of beach. We would return.

This lovely place is hidden along the shoreline of Shoal Bay. The expansive but private views from our deck included ocean, and gardens full of tropical flowers and desert plants. Birds visit and iguanas and tiny lizards dart about on the grounds. We floated out from the beach and played in the warm water, resting on the chairs beneath the palms. The cinnamon margarita is required. The staff are friendly. Serenity is a little known gem. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

Now understand that on Anguilla, you can spend as much as you want on a hotel room. We booked last minute in the high season, but didn't want to spend a fortune. This place was clean and in good condition. The place isn't a brand new multimillion dollar property, but it was more than adequate. The beach wasn't huge but was really secluded. Where this place shined was the food, the service and the staff. The owner was as friendly as a no nonsense man can be. He's had the place for a couple of decades. He runs a tight ship. For the money, I wouldn't stay anyplace that cost twice as much. For an American comparison, imagine a moderate Sheraton with top notch staff.

Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious and the Bedroom was comfortable and cozy. Would definitely return for another vacation stay.

Great spot if you are looking to get completely unplugged. This is at the farther end of one of the nicest beaches in the world. Not too much directly nearby within walking distance, however the island is small and the entire island is a short distance by car.
The management is great, and if you enjoy snorkeling you can go right off the beach.
