A little difficult to find but a great hotel with helpful staff

I get it, you get what you pay for, but this hotel is borderline disgusting. Even if a hotel is classified as ‘budget’, it should still be clean, and look nice. This run-down dump is one of those places that makes you wonder if the management actually cares about the guest experience?
I stayed in a poorly designed and poorly lit room, the bed STANK of other people’s body odour, and there was hair between the sheets. There was hair in the bathroom sink. There was hair between the two saucers. There was hair everywhere. There was a massive clump of someone’s hair on the floor, that was still there after house-keeping had visited. You are allowed to request house-keeping after your third night. I did, but had to ask again the following night, as they forgot. Not a nice, clean place. Just a tired, class-less hovel of a place.

Room was worn and dated bathroom light glass held in with plumbers silicone. Light fittings had switches removed and left open.

Perfect for an affordable overnight close to Heathrow. The only slight negative is that the outer hallways smelt a bit like a dirty hoover bag. Staff were brilliant, family room was nice and big and parking was free.
2.0
Good value for money. Large room. Downside was very warm (even with both windows open and the fan on)

Hard to find in the dark as the Hotel is within the University campus. Receptionist guided us in and explained the layout, room location and optional breakfast times. I could not fault the room or staff. 10 out of 10 from me.

After hours (10pm) this 'hotel' doesn't work and is impossible to get into your room.
The keys are left at security but finding the security office is like finding a needle in a haystack. The security staff are the most unhelpful I have ever come across and kept telling to drive to the pond and turn left. In the middle of the night and during the summer, the pond isn't visible. I drove around for over 30 minutes looking for the security desk and the two officer couldn't have been less helpful.
I actually cancelled my last night because of their approach and found somewhere pleasant.

It was as you would expect for a 3 star property, a little dated but overall very good.

Very run down. Pillow extremely hard and uncomfortable

Great value. Clean. Free and secure parking. Easy 20 minute walk to Uxbridge shopping and Tube station.

Staff was friendly and helpful. This is on a university campus and is not quiet or peaceful at night

Love it! Great value for money!

Very helpful and willing check in staff - went out of their way to help us. Room very hot and a bit dated. Good breakfast selection.

Great place for stay. Clean and spacious

No air-conditioning and room was hot. Windows did not open, Fans were provided, but noisy and not very effective.
Shower head weak - not very effective and floor became quite wet.
Evening meal was very good - tasty and sufficient and nicely served.

On site at an university complex. Was a quiet hotel and would use again without hesitation

Convenient, clean, comfortable stay.

I was surprised to find the room had 2 king sized beds. Room was spacious with a large bathroom too. Also a fridge containing a smal freezer compartment was tucked away in the wardrobe. The only downside was no AC in the room and there was a lot of heat from the fridge.
Luckily the window could be opened and a fan was available which was enough to cool the room down to an acceptable level.

We booked the hotel room and stayed for two nights, in order to attend my honorary graduation. We knew that it was a 'small' room but we had to move the bed in order for the person nearest the window to be able to walk round without colliding with the desk or chair. The room was well-equipped and very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bar is nice. We did not have breakfast.
There isnt 24 hour desk service, we saw a couple who flew in from abroad, whose plane was delayed have a lot of issue checking in late.

We stay for 5 nights and our room was not regularly service or clean.

Very basic hotel. Room was fairly comfortable. Beds were poor quality and small.

This was the very best hotel for us for convenience and it's good value for money too. Breakfast from 7.00. Drinks in the garden on a sunny day.

Hotel just offered one welcome drink per room instead of one drink per guest as stated in confirmation email.

Quality service and great location

My room overlooked the giant chess set and a group were playing chess late into the night and smoking, as it was hot I had the window open and the smoke came into the room - very unpleasant!
4.0
Hotel clean and in a quiet area.
Far from city centre (need bus underground)
The room was not like in the photos, bathroom was super small and outdated
It was summer time but the heating in the hallway was on so it was super warm

The best thing was the bar prices and the food we ordered was quite nice. The room was tiny with half the window blocked out. The bed was like sleeping on stone with only one thin pillow each. We were finally getting a little sleep on the Sunday night into Monday morning and was woken by gardeners with petrol mowers cutting the grass right outside our window at about 7:30, 8 o’clock.

Easy to locate, all I needed for a one night stay after getting in FROM Heathrow. Very close to university campus.

I was really disappointed as this was advertised as a luxury hotel and spa.
The room was on the top floor , very hot, window only opened a little way, fan but no air con.
Wi-Fi was free but tricky to access unless you were there with a University conference.
No possibility of dinner there as the restaurant fully booked (even though I was alone ) with large groups at long tables .
The parking was limited and not clear .
The exit door got jammed last evening - when I asked for help the receptionist who had checked me in said ‘are you staying here ‘ which made me feel kind of ignored !
I wouldn’t stay here again . Sure the room was big but no one serviced it on my second day and it felt more like a university hall than a hotel .
2.0
Really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and tidy room with everything you would need.
Very nice breakfast with a good selection of foods (kids loved the pastrys!)
Unfortunately not the best night's sleep due to factors that are not really the hotels fault, it was a very very hot weekend and the room was absolutely boiling there was a fan in the room which we had on and the window open but as the hotel is situated in the grounds of the university (we didn't really realise this when booking) it was very noisy and had to shut the window which made it even hotter!
As I said not really anyones fault and we only stayed for one night while visiting legoland and London.
All in all a nice place to be with a easy walk into Uxbridge for the tube or food.
1.5
A hotel that feels more like a student dorm, but it is very central for visiting Brunel University.

Lancaster hotel
No signage anywhere on sig to direct visitors hotel, no address for gps,
No help prior to arrival to guide visitors, as to location.
Very small sign on building, no/ very unnoticeable signing, no indication that Athena would be a barricade / gate preventing travel on street to hotel no indication that I must call box to raise gate barricade.
Dead bolt on door missing handle to use lock,
Bed cover smelled of tobacco smoke
Room was too hot, even with windows open - room did have fan
but closet/ cabinet in which it was stored was broken,
Elevator down call button on first floor not working
Telephone handset volume so low it was inaudible, volume control on max
Tiny room, Tiny TV,
WiFi use monitored by university
Human Receptionists were by helpful
