Cozy alpine chalet hotel with sauna, jacuzzi, heated pool looking out to Mont Blanc. Fireplace, chalet wood decor, impeccably clean hotel with professional, welcoming, friendly staff and good restaurant. We plan on returning.

We stayed for a ski holiday , the stuff was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the company of the 3 dogs and beautiful cat .
Dinner was great with very good choices of wine menu.
Getting to the slopes is very easy by the ski bus a few minutes from the hotel.
Unfortunately the lift next to the hotel was not operational that week, but still very easy getting to the slops .

The Ducs is a rock-solid, high quality traditional 4* hotel. We all have our own standards (I 'think' mine are quite high) but: service was excellent, flexible, generous, interested, reliable, personal, homely. The discount to Megeve is spot-on, especially drinks; the quality of food and drink is high, higher than expected, with buffet spreads (a constant source of whinging for me) absolutely irreproachable. Rooms are cosy, clean, tidy, traditional, and 'mountain side' views are stunning. Combloux is quite - so if you're looking for clubbing expect to pay €60+ for your round-trip into Megeve, but if a bar or two, 3-4 decent enough local restaurants are fine with, crucially, easy access to Megeve (village bus to main bus stop, in your skis, then resort-to-resort navette to Megeve) takes 20-40mins depending on your timeliness/connections. While in Combloux, use http://www.locaskouil.com in Combloux - once you've met Fred you'll know why - extraordinarily friendly service. Re spa, we didn't use the facilities that much, but they looked fairly small/limited (not a reflection on quality), so can't really comment. But once you're sat in the never-too-busy, wood-fire in the corner, lounge with a glass of wine, relaxing after a day out, you'll feel pretty good about having stayed here, even without massive indoor pools etc etc.

Was very clean, large rooms and comfortable beds.
A little expensive, even though out of town, and away from ski runs/lifts

I was very very happy with this property. The hotel was very nice. The rooms were very good, hotel and staff were extremely pleasant, fantastic view of Mont Blanc and other mountains, and it has a great location for skiing - including a lift within walking distance. There is a fantastic big salon overlooking the mountains with a great bar as well as a very good, refined restaurant which is still relaxed and welcoming to families. However, what really set this location apart was the people who worked there. Everyone from staff in the restaurant, to the bar tenders to the couple that works the front desk (presumed to be owners) were fantastic. They were extremely welcoming, accommodating and and you could tell too great pride in the hotel and guests. I will be here again with my family as soon as I can and will possibly visit in the summer next time.

The hotel is lovely and the staff are very friendly. The food is very good, including a hearty breakfast to get you ready for a full day of skiing. I am a bit confused though about the room classifications. Last year, we booked a double room and had amazing views of Mont Blanc out the window to our private balcony. This year, we booked the same room category online (advertised as balcony with mountain views,) but all we had was a view of the bushes in the back of the building, and a public balcony down the hall where we could sort of see the mountains around the side of the building. If you book, be sure to call the hotel directly to ask for a room on the front where you can really see the mountains. The ones in the back are really not as nice and not worth the same price.
