Off season so no staff in attendance but certainly not a problem. Advised by phone our room allocation and " Check in any time you like"7

Quiet area and easy access to town centre and the lake. Friendly hosts. Nice spacious comfortable room and spotless clean. Parking outside the room and lots of off street parking.

Stayed at this property with family for 1 night on our way to Milford Sound. It is a good motel with all basic facilities and amenities. There is a small kitchenette as well which was very helpful. Overall, a nice experience.
Just one point: The heating in the room was through one air-con/heater only. This wasn't sufficient for the Autumn cold and the size of the room. There was no bed heating either. Hence, it was a bit cold in there!

Needed more bench space in kitchen, a second lounge chair & somewhere to hang tea towels in kitchen, no hand towels in bathroom.

Cute little motel. Family owned so they take of the place. Clean rooms and good parking. We were there for one night to go on a few boat tours and it worked out great.
5.0
Enormous bed which was very comfortable and by far the best motel I've stayed in so far in NZ. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Quick 1 night stay. Had. What we needed.

Check in was smooth and quick. The room was spotless! Large room with a comfortable bed and extra amenities that you don’t expect from a small motel (make up remover, toiletries, fluffy towels, well equipped kitchenette). The couple that runs the place are friendly and very helpful. We stayed 2 nights while we visited the Milford Sound area and we would definitely stay there again.

Old but clean.
Well kept by the managers.

Clean and spacious place. Really enjoyed my stay, staff are extremely helpful!

The hosts were quick to respond to our needs and very helpful with directions and ideas. We liked the small motel. Much nicer choice than the bigger hotels that accommodated a different tour bus every night.

Wonderfully easy check in. Can walk to everything in town, 10-15 minutes max. Room was spotless!

This is a VERY dated property. Needs some care, by far the lowest one we chose for our 2 week holiday. There are no screens even on the bathroom vent window, so there were bugs. It was not awful, but for the price I expected a better experience.

Easy check in and check out. Good location

This is a beautifully kept traditional motel run by a friendly young couple providing access to the Fiordland National Park and beyond. The motel is minutes from Lake Te Anau and walking distance from the town itself which has a good range of shops, restaurants and cafes.
Our studio was well equipped with everything a couple needs to prepare simple meals in lieu of eating out and provided comfortable, clean and spacious living with free parking for the car.

Was supposed to pay at the property but they had pre charged so I couldn’t use the card I wanted to and cost me in fees not happy

staff extremely cordial and helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival at this motel. It is clearly an older property that the proprietors have worked hard at upgrading. The bathroom was newly remodeled and very nicely done, and the king bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was adequate and nicely stocked. The hotel is located on the edge of a residential area, and was very quiet. Suggestions for next upgrades would be an improved couch in the separate sitting area, better quality twin, beds, and new end tables in sitting area and bedroom. Overall, a nice experience and is recommended.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable and good value

Clean and we had a good nights sleep, but there are a few easy-to-solve issues that need to be adressed straight away.
The beds are comfortable, the aparment is clean and the location is as expected, but could be better for the cost.
Bathroom is clean an in ok condition.
The sofa is in urgent need of changing and its way too small for a room that takes 4ppl.
The dining chairs are extremely uncomfortable and made of cheap hard plastic. Absolutely not ok for a 4 star motel.
The main room needs redecorating asap.

We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment and it was very spacious.. we had east stay and stays in Te Anau were usually looking very basic but we had more than expected stay in place.

If warm you can sit outside by the picnic tables.
A short walk to the lake & downtown.
Very quiet!! So nice!

Management are friendly.
Good facilities in our unit, with plenty of DVDs.
The kitchen fixtures are tired and dated, which could benefit from updating but everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable, king size and good linen.

Amber Court hotel is family owned. Owners very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and cared for. It is not fancy but perfect for our needs of a good night’s sleep and a kitchenette stocked well to have breakfast and snacks there. Very quiet and beds comfortable. Highly recommend.

A comfortable, convenient motel - with Te Anau centre not too long a walk. Staff were obliging.

Lots of space! Great place to stay in Te Anau prior to heading to Milford Sound.

The staff was great and very helpful. The place was well maintained and good value for the price. Rooms were clean and beds we’re comfortable. We would recommend this place to others.
3.0
While the two staff members were nice, the room clean, and the amenities in it ok, the main photo doesn't depict that this is a motel in which the main large glass door faces the parking lot - this means no view for most rooms and total lack of privacy without a full curtain on. The room itself is bland in grayish colors. I have seen much better motels for the same price, and would not recommend this hotel.

Perfect in every way. Located in a quiet street with large very clean rooms which were serviced daily. Everything you need is provided including plunger coffee and quality tea. 200m walk to lakefront and about 10 minute walk to shops and restaurants. We used it as a base to explore Milford , Te Anau, Manapouri. Staff were delightful and very helpful. Highly recommended. 😀
