Very large suite in lower level of older building. Separate entrance off of back parking lot. Two reserved parking spaces right near back door made it very convenient. Did I mention how large the suite is? Nicely renovated, very large modern bathroom. Painted concrete floor with throw rugs, so bring slippers. Great location at the end of Davis Street so we could easily walk out and enjoy the nice stores, fun restaurants. Next to the historic visitor center and museum.

A wonderful room (within a larger facility) in a charming corner of downtown Culpeper. Beautiful bathroom. Gas fireplace. We enjoyed our stay there!

Great location that is right downtown. Rooms were the perfect size (not crammed) while the bathroom was large and functional. Great place to stay.

The Suites at 249 was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I was blown away by the decor of the Violetta suite, which was exactly my taste. I didn’t expect such a modern and updated venue to be in historic Culpepper. Parking was easy and it seemed to be in an ideal location even though I was there for only one night.

Don't ever stay there. Buried deep in their website you find out there is no front desk, no people, no help, no nothing, no elevator, and stairs so steep you have to be a youngster to climb. No parking whatsoever. NO NOTHING, but a room. No ice, no coffee, no help, nobody. Someone would have to be a fool to stay there. I mean you might as well bring a tent and camp out.

Good location. Clean room. Comfy bed. Easy to access.

Perfect for a weekend getaway, the suite was beautiful, walking distance to everything, quiet, and romantic. As toddler parents, we wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for families, though it would be fine, but it was perfect for the two of us to get away.

Great spot to stay in downtown Culpeper. The Verde Suite was well appointed and very comfortable. Spotless. My only complaint was a strong smell of bleach when we entered the room, but it dissipated quickly. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the big windows looking out on the street. Very quiet at night.

What a treat! Our room was wonderful. Spacious, cozy and beautifully appointed. Largest bathroom and shower I’ve ever seen in a rental accommodation.
And Davis St. is a destination on itself!

The room was lovely. We went to decompress from a busy schedule. We were very comfortable. Many restaurants, cafes, other businesses are in walking distance. The area is lovely. The staff were very friendly. Alicia is an excellent staffer. We will go back in the future. The only thing the stairs are steep and plenty of them. One gets use to it after a few trips.

This property was in the cutest little downtown area. Between the rooms, view and feel of the town, we had the best weekend. The food, coffee, shops and cafe's were so enjoyable, delicious and staff were super friendly. The rooms in the suites were beyond clean and the staff so wonderful. We loved that we had a balcony and we had our own unique code for the doors. No hotel room key to worry about remembering or losing. We cannot wait to go back!!

The renovation of the room and especially the bathroom was fantastic. I took pictures to try to recreate the bath in my home. The fireplace was also a nice touch and everything was immaculate. The only downside was the narrow 24 stairs to the second floor.

This was our first stay at a boutique suite. We knew there would not be a receptionist, but we knew not to expect one. For anybody that expects a receptionist, pay more and stay somewhere else. The room was amazing. Honestly, the check-in process cannot be any simpler. We stayed in the Violetta suite which was beautifully appointed with furnishings, has a huge bathroom, and we never expected a fireplace in our room. In full disclosure, there is a beer bar out our windows and across the street that can be noisy late at night, so if you plan to go to bed early, you might want to keep this in mind. If you go during the weekend, there is a three hour parking lot which is free from 6 PM Friday night until Monday morning, so no worries there. Everything was within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will look no further than Suites at 249 if we return to Culpeper, Virginia.

This was one of the most beautifully designed properties that I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. I’ve traveled all over the world to amazing properties and this one stands out as one of the best.

Very elegant spot that was very quiet in the middle of downtown. Our room was pristinely clean. We did not hear any other guests.

Suites at 249 was an excellent place to stay! The rooms are amazing, the cleaning staff was efficient and super friendly and it’s located right in downtown Culpeper so you step out the door and start walking to all the great little shops! I highly recommend this property!

The room was very spacious and beautiful. The steam shower was awesome. We sat on the balcony and had morning coffee. A perfect way to start the day.
My only suggestion is, the foffee maker only goes as small as 12 oz. The cups are too small. Please get bigger ones. We did get a couple from the lobby which were perfect.
I know it's not the Inn's fault but, Knackles needs to be open Sunday and Monday. (Just a suggestion) Their pastries are delicious.

Great choice for a overnight stay. We were able to walk to all of the restaurants.

Love this property however this trip the bar behind property had a loud band until 2am. There were no towels in the room and one window was opened that I did not realize until morning.

We returned to Culpeper for a long weekend visiting wineries and breweries. We had previously stayed at 249's sister establishment, which was a great experience, but which was unavailable this time. That was our good luck: 249 is exactly what we want out of every hotel.
We had the Terra Suite on the 2nd floor. It is a clean, comfortable, convenient, and spacious bedroom with a fireplace and a balcony. It has a huge bathroom with terrific shower. ("Suite" doesn't mean a separate bedroom or sitting room, but it really is large.)
Easy no-contact check-in. Wonderful staff whom we met serendipitously after arriving. And the location is unbeatable: all of Culpeper's shops, dining, and breweries are within 2-3 blocks. The town has plenty of free parking, including a lot across the street. (There's a 3-hour time limit during weekday working hours, but you can always move the car to the next lot, a block away, after those 3 hours.)
The train station is across the street. Brilliant if you're taking the train to town. But if you're a light sleeper, bring some earplugs so those overnight trains don't startle you awake.

Lovely property! It is a perfect spot for shopping and eating in downtown Culpeper. Right across from the train station.

Interesting concept to turn a vacant storefront into 6 hotel rooms. The room and common area was very clean and the property was very quiet. There are no amenities except free coffee, but there was an excellent coffee shop and a couple of good restaurants a short walk down the street.
