very easy to get to, delightful restaurant just down the road, and very peaceful.

Very nice B&B. Staff very professional and friendly. Breakfast excellent. Only one fault, very noisy plumbing in the Musselburgh room.

Beautiful location and a very comfortable bed, however, for a 4* rating hotel in quite a small town location, one would expect a more personal-touch type of a customer service. Room was very comfortable but upon closer inspection of the bedroom/bathroom aspects, quality comes closer to 3* level.

Well situated in a rustic setting with a beautiful Loch walk 5 mins away. Room was clean and bright. By far the best asset were the staff always cheerful and friendly and genuinely concerned that the stay was a pleasant experience. I loved the place and hope to be back.

Set in a lovely location and I'm sure would be great for riding related stays, however as a lone traveller I wasn't overly impressed with any aspect of my stay. Initial concern was a very loose doorknob on entry to my room. Angled the tv towards the chair and the dust behind it! There was a crack in the sink and the same toilet roll used in my local Asda public loos. Breakfast sadly was disappointing. The scrambled egg appeared to be made with more milk than egg and was bland, the bacon thick cut and salty, mushrooms had a metallic taste and the black pudding wasn't nice. I'm afraid I don't understand how this was classed as 4*

We had to wait 20 minutes at the check in desk because no-one was there. When we did eventually find someone (we had to go looking) they were angry they had to do it. The room was outdated & wasn’t very clean. The bathroom door didn’t shut & there was a wasp’s nest outside so wasps kept getting into the room somehow. A ceiling light was hanging down, an extension lead was hanging from the kettle, the bed sheets were stained, there was no socket at all for the towel rail so the cable was left dangling and the tiolet roll holder fell off the wall. Other than that, pretty average.

Does not show on google maps in its true location! Spent half an hour in the dark trying to find. Poorly lit.
Good location for market venue across the road.

Location lovely, plenty of parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and everything worked fine. Good breakfast. Some niggles: room was small and a bit cramped, and the building had the feel more of a wooden shed that had been thrown together without too much attention to workmanship, rather than a substantial building. For a one night stop over, it was perfectly adequate.

This is a great horse B&B had a good breakfast and beautiful grounds with lots of outdoor room to explore.

Very helpful owners. It’s at the end of the bus line on a beautiful cove. It is a ways from Port Ellen. There is a great pub where you can order a fresh fish plate in advance and the local fisherman who drink in the bar go catch the fish. We left very early and Gary made us sandwiches.

This B&B is more like a boutique hotel! My room was beautifully decorated with a clean, modern en-suite. A hairdryer, iron and mini ironing board are all supplied as well as tea/coffee making facilities and a large bottle of water. The breakfast choice is fantastic and the quality of the food was very good. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Overall a very enjoyable stay! :-)

The hotel is on the outskirts of Lanark with ample car parking, and easy access to the surrounding towns and countryside.
The en-suite room was comfortable and had a tv and cd player, which I enjoyed. There was plenty of choice at breakfast (full Scottish and / or Continental) and excellent coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a good place. Great breakfast.
The only problem was the bed and the bedding. The mattress was old and the springs were uncomfortable. And the down cover caused me to wake up at 3 am with an asthma attack and I couldn't find an alternative cover in the room.
So caution to asthmatics, otherwise great place to stay.

The bed was very comfortable and the duvet was warm. However our one night stay was spoilt by the draught from the bathroom window. Also the access road was full of potholes and is unlit - quite dangerous for elderly guests.

Upon driving into the hotel first time I was a bit taken aback about how dark the road was despite the few LED posts at side of road. The car park is free and a decent size and could easily get parked but again it was quite dark.
Upon entering the hotel lobby we were warmly welcomed and offered a dram of whisky and booked in quickly and efficiently. The lady showed us to our room which was tastefully decorated and she put the heater on as it was a bit chilly.
Beds were comfortable and complimentary tea/coffee/water was welcomed. There is free wifi but found it quite weak in the rooms but downstairs in the breakfast lounge found it to be at it's strongest.
Breakfast is ordered at reception upon booking in but they do check your order again in morning to see if that's still right and nice range of options for breakfast. Only suggestion I would make is could you offer a non-dairy milk available e.g. rice, coconut? Breakfast was delicious
